Hello kev 👋 do you know what Steven's granite has installed for the metal drive shafts please? I've looked for age's and found nothing. I would really appreciate any info at all. Best regards.
I've just bought my first car, decided to go with the granite and it's been fun ripping it through the snow in Alaska. I want the traxxas xmax.. that's a big boy a bit pricey though.
Great little car to start off someone's Christmas! Maybe do a video on budget friendly sub £200ish cars for your little ones? I'd like to see a review on the Ftx Carnage 2.0 as I'm looking at this for my son's first hobby grade 💯👌🏻
Love it. Who else takes brand new things and drops them from the second story! I have around 300 rc models but I don't have a raminator!! That's the one I don't have! That's Arma is a bit expensive for a brushed version. I'm sure it's good quality but come on!! Brushed! What?
Your videos are the best! My daughter and I watch them all the time. We are still trying to convince the wife to let us get some. I would love your TLR Typhoon and my daughter wants a typhoon grom. Hook it up Kevin and make our dreams come true!
0:19 "Grom stems from the word grommet, a term generally used to denote the lowest ranking members of a naval ship. This term was then borrowed by the Australian surf community to describe young, skilled surfers, employed as both a term of respect and a way to poke a little fun at the younger guys and girls in the water."
I bought my son and I the Hyper Go they're a little different than the 1 you have, unfortunately the rear diff in mine is already trashed after only having taken it out about 3 times.
Grom means “little one” from what I’ve heard 😎 I love mine. I zoom it around my basement and on the little track I made. It’s just so much fun and durable as heck! I built a miniature obstacle course in the basement and it fell to the concrete floor from about 2-3 feet high more times than I’d like to admit and nothing has broken on it yet! I personally feel it was worth every penny of the $129 price tag I paid. I just don’t understand why some people wanna hate on the Grom. Just enjoy it for what it is. It’s a small 4x4 RC car with a brushed motor and a 2s Lipo that goes 20mph. That’s all so just enjoy it. It’s not supposed to be a speed demon capable of 40-50mph speeds. Enjoy the hobby people, have fun, and stop complaining about what something isn’t. Great video as always, Kevin. 🤘🏼
And still, that MJX is nearly half the price and does reach 40mph on 3S. Yes, the video is wrong. Check any other video on the MJX 16208 and it's 40mph or 65kmh.
@@janklaassen6404 that’s cool. But I still prefer the Grom. Just my personal preference. I have plenty of regular RC cars 1/10 scale and bigger that go plenty fast. I’m personally not interested in any of the off brand RC cars like MJX. There’s zero parts support from any local hobby shops by me. And my local hobbytown has never even heard of MJX, or WLToys, or Haiboxing, etc. And they break so easy. My neighbor has two hyper gos for his boys. They aren’t even hard on them. But every time they drive them, something breaks. And they’re always waiting for up to a week or more for parts in the mail. The hobby isn’t fun when you have cars that are on your workbench more than you’re driving them. Again just my opinion. There’s plenty of people who like the hyper gos and if that’s what makes them happy that’s all that matters.
@@janklaassen6404 I’m also curious where you shop online? Because the cheapest I’ve seen the MJX 16208 anywhere is $110 from TEMU. That’s only $19 less, and nowhere near “half the price” of the Grom as you’re claiming. In fact, I’ve not seen any of the MJX hyper gos for nearly half the price of the Grom. They’re either all just as expensive, and in some cases, much more expensive. And even from TEMU at $110, by the time you add shipping and handling and taxes, it’s nearly the same price as walking into a hobby shop to buy the Grom. If you’re finding the MJX 16208 somewhere for $70-$80 please tell me where because at that price even I might buy one.
@@OGRCFanatic I think we just value aspects of an rc car differently. I actually prefer not to visit physical stores and really enjoy the low prices. As for durability, that's hard to determine. There are basher video's in skateparks that they survive. And I really enjoy the high top speed. It looks crazy for such a small car. I like to race on the street among cyclists. They all think it's an impressive toy. I get lots of smiles and positive remarks. It if you like Arrma, like to visit local stores, like instant parts, then sure. Do your thing. It's about what you like. If you enjoy your purchase, then that's all that matters.

Painting my 74.2 Jconcepts body right now, can't wait till they ship my kit man, you inspired me to build a race 1/10th, doin the Spencer Rivkin Team Associated build.
Does the arms controller have a way to turn down the speed? Looking at getting one for my 2 1/2 year old son. I’m looking at the armma over the hyper go because I know it would be easier to get parts here in America for it.
Ello governor!!!
I plan on buying a Grom!!!
I really like the Arrma TALION it looks really cool and is like you said between buggy and truck known as truggy. This looks like it will be really strong and fast therefore I would love to own one.
My son and I love our Arrma 3s Big Rock and Senton but I did not see any Arrmas on the wall. That being said would love love love a 6s Arrma or the XMaxx 🙏 Cheers mate.
We drive RC cars too, and we’ve been loving them
bro i have to but i have only 13 years old
I’d be happy with any Kev over the moon intact 👏
I have one look on the back uv the controller there is a switch to make it go fast
Surfers and skaters used to call little kids/up and comers "grommets" and it shortens nicely to "grom" and is fun to describe things that are SMOL
Bought a Nitro Traxxas new for $375
Great little car to start off someone's Christmas! Maybe do a video on budget friendly sub £200ish cars for your little ones? I'd like to see a review on the Ftx Carnage 2.0 as I'm looking at this for my son's first hobby grade 💯👌🏻
I was gonna get him the Arrma Gorgon, but you just can't get stock anywhere at the moment and all on back order with no dates.. 🤷🏼♂️
Get the ftx ramraider looks decent tomley rc has reviewed it few times 3s rtr for £230
You should try the cen racing ford puma its good by what ive seen.
Love it. Who else takes brand new things and drops them from the second story!
I have around 300 rc models but I don't have a raminator!! That's the one I don't have!
That's Arma is a bit expensive for a brushed version. I'm sure it's good quality but come on!! Brushed! What?
the mjx can do 38mph on 3s, that battery was flat
I've never driven one of these. They look so much fun! Any of them would be nice to start.
I can smell the brand new monster truck🎉
The new Wltoys 104016 would CRUSH those two on 2s
M8 you are the most fun basha to watch ,I have a arrma kraton 6s which is pretty cool, but I would so love to ow
Traxxas slash BL2S soon?
Your videos are the best! My daughter and I watch them all the time. We are still trying to convince the wife to let us get some. I would love your TLR Typhoon and my daughter wants a typhoon grom. Hook it up Kevin and make our dreams come true!

"Grom stems from the word grommet, a term generally used to denote the lowest ranking members of a naval ship. This term was then borrowed by the Australian surf community to describe young, skilled surfers, employed as both a term of respect and a way to poke a little fun at the younger guys and girls in the water."
You have to press the power button on the esc 5 times on the hyper go while its powered on to engage 3s . They go 40mph
Kev if you read this what size screw do you put in the xmaxx steering post hole
I have purchased 5 of these hyper go trucks lol . Great budget truck
Would love a raminator. Wanted one for years just can't afford it special after I hurt my back at work😢. Thanks
@@janklaassen6404 right on 🤘🏼😎
