Both of those took some very hard hits. However, the XRT took that insane corner strike of that ramp ... and it soldiered on. That was insanely impressive.

The reason why the car twists during a front flip is due to the intermediate axis theorem. A simple solution is just applying reverse throttle after applying the brakes while being airborne. The reverse throttle makes the wheels spin and the car doesn't twist anymore due to the gyroscopic effect of the rotating wheels
Right and hitting the jump straight on helps a lot also, hitting a ramp at an angle throws off the geometry of the truck especially when doing a front flip.
This is true, and he's said it quite a lot before on this channel as well

7075 aluminum is very tough, had an Emaxx fully converted to it
Lock the center diff, it'll backflip way easier. It's definitely WAY tougher and more powerful than the last version.

Growing up in the 80's and 90's and having the Tamiya Falcon,Blackfoot and RC-10 we never thought tires would be a issue lol. We swapped motors out for the Mr. Twister and thought they were lightning quick. Not even close to today's brushless lol
I remember starting with a 1/10 nitro rc more than 15 years ago and I thought that was fast, even these 3s cars are super fast lol

Yoo best way to do back flips is to let go of throttle right before you hit the ramp then hit the throttle 100% right before you’re about to leave the ramp to make your truck wheelie! This is how to get crazy triple and quad flips 🤙🏾
The V2 EXB seems really sorted! Especially the much larger Motor and Servo 👍
The motor can definitely take some high gearing no worries.

I've had a bunch of Eco Power WP120T standard servos in my crawlers and bashers. They've always been solid for me. I'm definitely going to have to get the 1/5 servo for sure if it's anything like the smaller servos. It looks pretty solid with almost 900 oz of torque. 👊👊👍👍

Already had the batteries you got an charger. So I had to go get the car! It’s bad ass!
I have the roller OC8S EXB with a max5/800kv combo and it’s a tank. Only major upgrade I’ve done is Vitavon diff housing/driveshafts since it snapped the factory pins so easily. Other than that it just takes a kicking! I also got a lot more top end speed by putting earplugs in the center diff, from factory it sends most of the power to the front wheels at top speed.

Definitely seems tougher. Funny thing is, I didn't think the Outcast had too many durability problems. From watching this channel I thought it was the Kraton 8s that lacked durability. Great work as always Kev!
They're just about the same truck, just different chassis lengths, wheels, and tires. So if one breaks, expect the same of the other
Agreed, my old version 8S Outcast takes a beating!! But the Kratons are way more fragile

Whatever camera was used to film outdoors in this video looks very high quality. It feels very fluid with movements and color saturation.
I think back flip is easyer cuz the wheel spinning works almost like a gyroscope and stabilize the car, while on front flip you stop the wheels so you dont have controll

I have the OG Outcast 8s and it is a really fun truck but it does have its weak points. Definitely recommend rpm a arms front and back and m2c racing shock shafts makes it watbmore durable
I’ve been highly considering getting one the new outcast. I have a Talon that’s got a ton of upgrades on it that I mildly regret doing to it, mostly from a speed point of view. I blow tires every time I take it out. 😂
Twisty front flips: It's flipping on the intermediate, or something, axis. Like when you flip your phone and it twists. That combined, possibly, with loss of gyroscopic stability.
Look at all that extra weight you’re going to add to an Arrma truck…. Can’t wait to see the chassis bend on that baby!

i like that car especially the colors.
Front flips go funny because you lose the gyroscopic stability from the wheels spinning. Backflips are fine because you're accelerating to pull them off. Once you cut the throttle to drop the nose, your lateral stabiliser is gone - like a motorcycle can stay upright at speed without a rider, but falls over easily when it's stopped. I've experimented with this using software and hardware with an Arduino jump-lander some years back. Wheel speed really matters! No speed, no gyro affect = wonky time!
For the front flip question; when car jumps wheels work like gyro and hold car stable. If you make front flip, you need to brake when in air so wheels stop turning. Gyroscope won't work if you're not turning the wheels.

To front flip clean you need the front wheels centered when you launch. Any turn in the wheels and the car spins. Also sweet backflip with both trucks at the same time 🤙🏻

I think to do a frontflip you need to lock the diffs. the wheels can each turn at a different rate. Those are my thoughts.

You can also plug a big big lipo into your charger to power it, then you can charge whilst out in the field

Just got my 1st RC. Used Arrma Senton 3s 4x4. Not what I wanted but it's still fun.
You need to rebuild the diffs. 1 mill in front ear plug center diff and 500k in the rear. It will be everything you wanted.
Just a suggestion Kev, some of us WOULD be interested in seeing proper some gear reviews and “How to” videos - like that new charger you briefly showed. Just a thought.

Arrma has a bigger motor, because the rc car is way heavier than the xrt, so the motor punches more power probably 10mph-5mph more of difference if you put the arrma motor on the traxxas.

Take the ramp straight, no steering movement, then a frontflip wouldn´t be a problem. But doing that under racing conditions or while bashing is nearly impossible.
Also, I’m your big fan. I’m a RUclipsr too. I show RC cars and ramps in my backyard.

When you backflip you hold on throttle so weel spinning act as gyro in a way but when front fliping there no spinning wheels so it flips out of line cos no gyro 👍

All through out the video I was thinking you know hpi upgraded the 1st gen savage just like this after learning the weak points and nocked the x out of the park. Nice to see arma doing the same. And then we were treated to a savage at the end, yeehaaw. You gotta admit they were onto it with the TVP, when it comes to aluminum, the arma upper bracing is providing a similar larger moment of inertia, I.e. the when you bend a ruler on the straight edge vs the bendy part. The pan provide lateral strength, I.e. a ruler with strong axis in both primary directions of loading. Sweet great video.

Have you tried the idea of using hockey pucks? I believe they are made of solid rubber easy to make fit easy with your new Tire lathe. It would be quick and cheap and easy to test and try. So that your speed challenge won't take much effort or time. Making more time to move and make videos. I love your show and content all of it... Please try let me know if it worked.
