#ThisMorning
I've been a dancer at social level for 10 years. I don't compete, although I could. The reason I don't compete is because of how competitors behave . They can be over serious, too self consious, often ladies can not be led by a partner as they only know competition routines.
There is a difference between being assertive and being too controlling.
Dance is all about expression of emotion through physical movements to the rhythm of music. And dance should be a joy, not a chore to please others.
This is a brilliant comment you are talking about the artistry. These people go on TV not to be creative but ego and money
It's not moaning they are speaking out about abuse.
These commentators are outrageous. The people who have come forward aren’t complaining about hard work and a gruelling schedule! They are complaining about abuse and bullying. That’s completely unacceptable!
They get well paid so if she was unhappy she could have left far earlier and given up the money.
Amanda did leave. She still has the right to speak up.
“A few contestants” … no you mean “a few dancers”. Don’t blame the victim, it’s the dancers who have serious allegations against them.
I'd like to hear what the abusive comments were in order to make an opinion. The celebrities only have 4 days to learn the dance so they must accept there's going to be a massive amount of pressure to get it right.
I wish The BBC Would Just Get To The Bottom Of This Is Doing my Heading Now
Not used to hard work
That older man is offensive - according to him - basically it’s ok to be abused and bullied if you’re getting paid well. In an interview Shirley Ballas gave recently she talks very openly about how ‘rife bullying is in the dance world’. She used the word rife.
If someone is abused it is not acceptable. Show the video evidence and put an end to this saga
From now on Strictly will have only flaky celebrity and diva's that cant be upset. In 2 years, the judges will only be allowed to gove positive comments because someone will get "hurt" otherwise.
1.Poor/weak society =strong people
2.Strong people = strong society
3.Strong society = weak people (we are here with one step in the next phase)
4.Weak people =weak society
I agree with most opinions - what just been said , right here. Except - the line - get over it! To go out there , in front of the millions , being not a dancer - and having just a week of training - not for everybody is a doable task. And ,if you have been harassed in any form ....Some people really CAN'T get over it - without professional help.
Even Caroline Flack wrote , even after winning Strictly - that she couldn't get over the experience - for a long time!! And it's just easy to say how someone should act, feel or behave, but - if you would need to go to do the same - then you say - no, I can't do that. Ridiculous.
Who even is that guy?
I wouldn't belittle someone who has suffered traumatic experiences, has this guy even looked into the actual story????
What happened not to follow the recent news is that she is being bullied or abused. Amanda, the actress, I think not sure
No-one’s complaining about the schedule or having to work hard, they’re saying they don’t want to be bullied, humiliated and attacked. Surely this guy can understand the difference.
Its a good job that geese weren't competing because you can't say "booh" to them.
What is "unnaceptable behaviour"? Mussed it ☹️
Typical response from the luvvie brigade. These people need to grow a pair.
Yes mate ,there is pressure, but that my friend doesnt include the professional dancer abusing the celebs physically or mentally. Monitoring it all now will hopefully stop destructive abusive behaviour.
Old dude is completely out of touch......no surprise there.
Bullying is wrong. Strictly dancing should be axed immediately. Bring back come dancing.
Easy money no evidence
Div
There is evidence which is why the dancer is leaving the show.
i think its rather sad that you are diminishing celebrities complaints.........ive just watch a celebrity talking about verbal abuse happening on a daily basis and belittle........this is not ok whether the dancers are competitive or not - i know what its like to be bullied..........
Yes I’m shocked at the level of victim-blaming on display here! And if Giovanni hasn’t done anything wrong why did the BBC dismiss him so suddenly?
The work is hard , if you’re not up to it don’t carry on, you can’t expect to be pandered to every time
Bullying is very different to pressure.
What a toad "get over it" It has nothing to do with people not wanting to work hard. If people feel they are being treated inappropriately they should feel they can speak up. That guy is just a tool
My most favourite programme i only switch the television on to watch it .sad about it 😢
A few celebrities that can't dance & weren't prepared to put the hard work in. Your paid a lot of money for it!! If you're not prepared to do don't go on the show simple 🙄🙄🙄
Physical abuse is alright then? I don't think anyone signed up for that on a light entertainment show.
Then bbc choose the right contestants who are fit not overweight and willing to be taught by showing and speaking
Sometimes just saying sorry isn’t good enough
Sick of strictly story so boring.
Dancers on it for social media to become famous. Celebs on it for money.
Dont go on the show if unsure
The celebs are PAID and paid well to go on the show!
No excuse for them to get spat on, kicked etc
@@DJB710 One says she was! The MAJORITY have positive experiences. The 'celebs' who appear on the TV show mostly do so to boost their profile... as I said ONE has said she was kicked (no others). She's also been in the news a lot recently for her on/off relationship with another 'reality' TV man who has recently been diagnosed with ADHD.
No excuse to get mistreated, you wouldn’t like to be mistreated at work
@@Kari_B61ex Even if it's one it's too many - unless you condone physical and verbal abuse? You sound like you think she made it up - even though the professional dancer has already admitted to one kick (she probably had some evidence so he couldn't deny it? He's leaving so the evidence must have been pretty damning. Anyway, it's more than one - Amanda Abbington had bad experiences as well, the disabled contestant who says he was forced to do a jump and there are probably others. Just because it's a popular show you can't pretend these things didn't happen or condone them.
@@Kari_B61exstop making excuses for bad behaviour
What is the actual issue?
Being pushed to train hard?
Can’t work that one out. I think it’s that Amanda Abington has a jealous boyfriend. And somebody must pay
Probably not the show for you if you have a jealous partner or maybe ditch the partner
"The Scandal". They just call it the scandal without details, i read a dancer kicked someone.
No, it's professional dancers crossing the line between 'pushing to train hard' and 'abusive'.
@@jkc5155 seems very vague to me.
That man is on point
Who watches strictly...I don't know if viewing figures have declined....but... no longer watch such a woke filled program.
WIMPY CELEBS PTSD GOOD GOD GET A GRIP GROW UP THEY ARE ADULTS FOR GOD SAKE
Insulting for anyone who TRULY suffers with PTSD!
@@lyndkent-cl2oe Yup. Rachel Riley claiming she got PTSD from it yet she married and had two children with her Strictly partner.
Making light of a woman being traumatised
Get rid of the snowflakes Get strictly back to basics.
Both men from Italy says a lot
Wdym?
Both English women says more
@@proseccomammy what does it say? I’m an English woman and I love Italy and Italian people.
Who cares
Alan you got this completely wrong, you haven't heard anything about a line that's got crossed because it's now a legal case and lawyers are involved.
First
I believe they had a terrible time but: PTSD! That's a bit too far.
I think it’s triggered ptsd from past events from what she said on the interview
SHAME on these rich, spoilt celebs for putting hard-working dancers out of a job
You don't think allegations of abusive behaviour should be taken seriously?
I know there's two sides to every story but allegations of abusive behaviour should still be taken seriously and followed up on if the allegations that have been reported are indeed true so that nobody else has to go through the same thing.
How do dance shoes taste?
Seriously, you’ve clearly never been bullied or abused!
@@nichs1107 Again, the ordinary human experience being branded abuse by privileged women for attention does not make it so. Why are you so desperate to find suffrage in your overly comfortable lives?
