      Hi Dodge, thanks for the feedback and hope it helps. I always find it a challenge to fit stuff in. It's interesting to see what you took on a camping trip and didn't use! Cheers, Greg

    Thanks for sharing your setup. It is always interesting to see fellow Tasmanians' overnight setup.

      You're welcome! No matter what the setup, the number of items taken expands to fill all available space. It never seems like I've got an easy pack!

      Amazing how much stuff you can fit into those bags.

      Lol, yep but always seems like you need more space. Items multiply to fill available space!

    That beaver tail on your mosko bag should be installed with the molle webbing on the outside so you have extra mounting points. That plastic side is your map or ppwrk pouch.

      @xplortas you have a nice set! I'm sure it's changed since you posted this.

      Hasn't changed too much. Always a bit of a struggle to fit stuff in. Need to be a minimalist 🤣

    I use a bush box to light a fire to cook or make a Coffee ect it’s small and light in case the jet boil don’t work like you say

    • @xplortas
      @xplortas  8 месяцев назад

      Those jet boils are good when they work but I don't trust the piezo spark. The bush box sounds good

      Yes, fixed overheads are pretty high even for one night, plus tools etc if going bush

    How much does the tent, tarp, poles, sleeping bag, mattress etc setup weigh?

      I'll weigh them and get back to you, probably tomorrow. Cheers

      Hi there, sorry it's taken me a while to get back to you but I've been away again. I've provided a summary in the comments section of the video. All up I'm carrying around 25kg of gear on a camping trip but about 11kg if this goes on every trip in the bush. The camping stuff (tent, sleeping bag, food, clothes etc) accounts for around 14kg. Hope this helps, Regards

    Tent on a tarp? Glad you like sleeping in pooling water on a rainy night. I sure don't but more power to you.

    • @xplortas
      @xplortas  7 месяцев назад

      Ha I know what you mean. If it looks like being wet I keep the tarp well in from the tent edge. Haven't had problems doing it that way. Cheers

      @@xplortas Well as long as you move it away when the bad weather comes. Better to have the water soak into the ground then into your tent.
