    How cute to capture that bumblebee in flight. Nice.... That Tiger snake certainly didn't seem troubled by your presence, I haven't seen one this season in southern Tas, which is surprising. The trouble, and correct right if I'm wrong, is with that selective logging, which appears to be the case where you rode through, there is no protection from the wind from other trees like it would be the case in a forested area. Thanks for sharing your video and as always, I enjoy watching you explore the top of our state. Cheers Darrel

      Hi there, sorry it's taken me a while to get back to you but I've been away again. I've provided a summary in the comments section of the video. All up I'm carrying around 25kg of gear on a camping trip but about 11kg if this goes on every trip in the bush. The camping stuff (tent, sleeping bag, food, clothes etc) accounts for around 14kg. Hope this helps, Regards

    • @xplortas
      @xplortas 7 месяцев назад

      Yes, the heavy bike is much more of a handful to muscle around, and the tyres weren't full off road so a bit slick at times making for interesting outcomes. There are heaps of tracks in that region, this was the first one I've been on

    Hi XT. Challenging ride eh? You’re obviously the more confident rider with longer legs. I want to explore more forest tracks for sure maybe not quite as rough as that one though. Did you see the waterfalls?? I’m quite enjoying the Tonto track. Catchya, Annie

    • @xplortas
      @xplortas 7 месяцев назад

      Hi Annie, yes a little challenging. There were a few washouts but not too bad with the right tyres. That last bridge was a concern but we were running out of daylight to find another way out and all were getting tired with a few spills having already happened. We didn't go to the Falls but we had all been there previously and time was a bit short. Regards, XT

      Tanks for your comments! Yes the fire tower lookouts are good to visit, especially if the guy is there to let you have access. There are a few spread across Tasmania, I've only visited a couple. Chris Haugen has some good free music on RUclips. It's hard to find nice music that isn't synthetic electronic stuff, but you've chosen a few good ones too! Hope you have a good ride in the smoky Mts. Cheers
