    After almost a year of my original tutorial being posted, I have read every comment and completely agree that it was not the best video lol.     I literally made TWO in the past 24 hours with the old vid, and I did have to playback a couple times. My second was the bigger size and I counted the stitches for the straps but came out uneven. I’m still happy with it, but this tutorial is easier to understand, thank you so much for going slower it’s a big help! 💕💕

    Yay! Thank you for updating, i love this easy and fun holder. I made one using the original video and had to replay many times to get it right. I hdd to slow down the playback to 50% to rewatch sections 🤪

    I’ve made two of these but I made the straps using the thermal stitch instead of single crochet so it’s less diggy in the shoulder when the bottle is full, I love this pattern!

    One of my first projects and I love the explanations, thanks. My mesh kept getting tighter and narrower with each row so it looks more like a vase though

    I've been making these for everyone i know 😂 the dollar tree has cotton yarn and one skein is enough for a large size! I make the strap separately and attatch after. Then i can make a sturdier step that doesn't stretch. 👍

    hi! in my opinion the best way to end every mesh row with sc not dc. this way the end/begging of the row is less visible, and looks more even :))

    I have been looking for a water bottle holder and then I found ur tutorial!!! tysmm it took a few tries but I actually managed to make it! and it turned out so pretty!!! keep it up!! 💕 Also , here's some ideas of things that I still dont rly know how to do: wallets , bucket hats , and book covers! if u know any of these maybe make a tutorial? luv u! 💗

    i have a problem and im new to crochet so can soemone tell me why my work isnt tall but its really wide and when I put my water bottle inside (for refrence) it doesnt fit the holder is not snug on the bottle someone help please!! im using 100% acrylic yarn idk if thats a problem or not.

    If I want to do a little bit more big holder, I just need another increase? Or increase and dc?

      add another row, adding one double crochet per row. if your last row was (1dc, inc), your next row would be (2dc, inc), next row (3dc, inc) etc.

    If i wanted to add a 5th ring on the bottom for a larger water bottle do I just continue the steps for row 3 - ch3, (inc, 1dc)* repeated ?

      for every row you want to add, add one double crochet so if your last row was (1dc, inc)*, your next row would be (2dc,inc)*, next row (3dc, inc)*, etc.

    hi i loved the tutorial but mine started getting bigger and bigger ( almost like a bucket hat!) it started expanding, i just wanted to know if there is anything i can do to stop this?

      you might be accidentally adding a stitch somewhere, maybe try counting your stitches every round! :)

    Hi! Thanks so much for the free pattern and tutorial! I made one using the small pattern, a 5 mm hook, and Sugar ‘n Cream cotton medium 4. However, it is much smaller than yours. I made the strap with 80 chains as well, but it is way too short. Any idea what I did wrong?

      The same thing happened to me. I just followed the steps for the larger water bottle which brought it to the right size and added more chains for the strap :)

      Late, but this always happens to me too! the "big" one is enough for the small bottle, and I need to add another round for it to fit a big bottle. I assume her tension is looser than most.

      For the strap I did 145 chains. When you make the double crochets, use very loose tension and really stretch them. It makes them longer.

    When I make my bottle holder with 'Sugar n Cream' cotton yarn the hole where the bottle is supposed to go gets smaller and smaller when I do my rows. What can I do to stop that from happening?

      @@Warmest.Lavender I think I might have figured it out. Make sure you are doing everything in dc…even the increases, because I realized I was doing normal increases instead of double then the hole would go in, instead of out.

      unfortunately, i think a phone holder would weigh down the bottle holder & stretch out the straps too much

    Would anyone know how to make this size bigger? I’ve done the biggest size and I found it fits more of a 20oz bottle so idk what I’m doing wrong

      I just added more base rows and then instead of the # of stitches she says for the going up rows, I just matched how many I had so it's even all around. I think I added 3 more base rows to get it wide enough on the bottom to fit my larger bottle

      Her tension is very loose. When you make the double crochets, use very loose tension and really stretch them. It makes them longer

    I am at row 7 and got 17 dc. I tried doing row 7 again and got 17 dc again😢😢!! Please tell me what is wrong.

      try checking your row 6 to make sure the miscount isn’t there. i’d row 6 is correct, try counting your stitches as you go for row 7 to make sure you aren’t missing any stitches

    I found the video great and very helpful for making water bottle holders but the thing that kind of sucks is that I didn’t see how you did your ends up when A row was finish. But overall it was a very helpful video on how to make water bottle holders

      i usually crochet over my ends as i work so i have less ends to sew in at the end!

    You lost me at row 14. As a beginner it’s super frustrating how fast you go. What does it mean to go through the double stitch?

      you are able to change the playback speed to go slower if needed. the double crochet stitch is the stitch used for rows 1-13. so row 14 is just doing a single crochet in every stitch.

      @@Jenna-yc3ni the body of the bag is made by repeating double crochet, chain 1, double crochet, etc. the chain one space is where you chained one in the previous round. so instead of double crocheting into the double crochet from last round, you double crochet into that chain one
