  • Mines, silent but deadly, haunt the battlegrounds of the Russo-Ukraine conflict, akin to ominous constellations in the night sky. Hidden beneath the soil or cunningly disguised, they await their next victim with grim patience. Each one a potential catalyst for tragedy, a whisper of chaos amidst the cacophony of conflict. Their presence shapes the landscape, dictating movement, instilling fear among both soldiers and civilians. Yet, amid the rubble and ruin, they remain elusive, their presence felt more than seen. Every step is a gamble, every inch fraught with danger, as lives hang in the balance of their silent threat.
In the face of this danger, it's no surprise that Russia has turned to advanced technology to tackle this deadly menace head-on. Among their arsenal are the Prokhod-1 heavy robotic sapper, the Sfera and Scarabey complexes, and the Marker robotic platform, each offering unique expertise in the treacherous task of mine clearance.
In this episode, we delve into the tactics employed by these Russian mine sweeper robots in neutralizing hundreds of Ukrainian mines, shedding light on their effectiveness and strategic implications in the ongoing conflict.

In Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, Children of parents, who were still not born during the Vietnam War are still being killed by the unexploded bombs and mines that the Americans had left behind after their retreat from that area.

oh bless. You think that it was only the US who left mines. 🙄Wow, you seriously missed out your education. The Soviets and Chinese were both operational in Vietnam, as were France, Japan (during ww2), the Dutch etc, etc. all of whom provided and mined parts of the country. Before Vietnam it called French IndoChina.
I suggest you ask your school for a refund.

On the intro ; that's the best explanation I've ever heard of what a mine represents, as a weapon on the battlefield. Good job! 👍

What protection does it offer from top down attacks from Drones, ATGM’s, Artillery because unless it can cope with that’s its a massive so what! Also I imagine it will be rarer than a T14 on the battle field.

Forget the word “powerful and advanced” in case of Russian technology. We must see the economic, technological and military “power” of Russia in perspective. Russia is indeed a huge country in square km, but only has (a declining) 144 million inhabitants (Mexico 128 million, Japan 123 million). This is about 30% of USA or Eurozone. The GDP of Russia however is only 4% of the GDP of the Eurozone + USA, this is equal to the GDP of the small countries Belgium + Netherlands. And less than the GDP of the state of California. Relatively (per capita) the GDP of Russia is very low. Beside that the economy of Russia has signs of a 3th world economy. Half of the income is coming from oil & gas. Based on this, Russia isn’t a world power. And for sure, it isn’t a economic power. This is the reason they can’t build up and maintain a big army. The army they have is far beyond normal proportions in relation to their GDP. This hurts their budgets and prosperity permanently. In this perspective, Russia is just a dictatorship with a huge superiority complex and dangerous megalomaniac dreams. The path they chose shall be and will be their downfall.

Forget the word "GDP". Because it is bad manners to compare the economies of different countries in USdollars. If only simply because Russia has never used the USD within its economy. Even PPP GDP does not reliably reflect the state of the economy. These are very conditional attempts to compare economies. For example, 3/4 of the US GDP consists of very expensive services, i.e. - out of nothing. Removing appendicitis in the USA costs several 1000 US dollars, which are added to GDP, but in Russia it is 0 rubles and 0 rubles are added to GDP for the same service.
Only a fool would compare the economies of different countries by GDP in USD. And now $$ are generally a toxic currency for Russia, and soon for the rest of the world.
"Russia is just a dictatorship..." - This is simply a propaganda technique from real Western dictators who were never elected and never replaced. Which are in the shadows behind the screen of “democracy”. But for now you can tell fools these tales about “freedom and democracy.” Smart people understand that this never happened in reality. Just propaganda.
Moreover, it is surprising that 1 Western golden billion is scared to death of 140 million people with weak economies. A shame.

Россия и не является агрессором. Россия использует упреждающую, активную оборону от американской прокси "Украина" и НАТО. Агрессор в данном случае, это сионистская верхушка в США и Британии.

If the West was not the aggressor that started all the wars of the last centuries, then there really would not be a need for this. However, Russia has bitter experience.
