I think you pinpointed the problem I have with my 1996, Chevy 454 big block engine. I'm getting an on and off camshaft sensor error code, but the motor runs great at 86,000 miles in my RV. However, when I checked the motor from underneath, I can see oil leaking from my crankshaft onto the sensor plug nearby. Since my motor otherwise has been running great, I'm hoping cleaning up the outer oil leak that has soaked the sensor plug might solve my problem. Thank you! Where is your shop?
This was very helpful thank you I'm having this exact issue currently just waiting to get the car into a shop definitely setting my sensors off and stalls with acceleration...
I have a 2002 civic dx, Ive had an oil leak for a few months, I haven't been too sure where to find is but now I see residue from the belt getting oily, and buildup around where the pulley sits. I also can't drive more than 2-3 hours without the crank sensor code being thrown so I'm pretty sure this is the issue now
Dude i think you are honestly one of the best mechanics on RUclips. Thanks so much bro!
Thank you, watched this so I could understand exactly what my mechanic was doing to repair my car.
Excellent explanation of the importance of replacing your seal before failure.

Shaft seal keeps leaking oil even though I’ve changed it severally it’s still leaking gearbox oil. What should i do?
great videos, thanks for the information.
Would this cause a P0340 Code too? Even if the sensor has been replaced?
Thanks
Can ATF leak from the front crankshaft seal?
No puddles, only leaks when driving
It will leak engine oil
What if I've replaced 100's of seals and I have a new build that the seals won't seal. Honda B16 head
Use MLS head gasket and copper spray and torque to spec. Use honda bond for crankshaft seals.
Did that my guy
@@williamlopez103was the head or block line bored? Either the head/block is out of spec, or your cams/ crank journal is.
Why did he say both? What’s difference
Holy f*** my Nissan just got to 130k miles and the crankshaft started acting up
