  • The DJI Ronin-S is more than just a stabilized gimbal, it also has several Create modes built it. Two of these modes, Timelapse and MotionLapse are used to help you create timelapse videos. In this video we show you how they work and how you can use them to add some extra wow factor to your videos.

    It might be helpful to show how you view these videos once they are done? Can you preview them on your camera? Do the photos need to imported into an editing program? Thanks.

      Yeah the connection to a tripod really wants to be the base of the gimbal, not the bottom of the battery stick...

    I use zhiyun crane 3 lab, I was told Ronin S is similar to Zhiyun. Panorama, timelapse and motion timelapse, everything seems okay, it take photos but it doesn't save anywhere. What app setting I must use ?

    I have the SC with a GH5 + small prime, but when I do a motion lapse, the camera goes off level about halfway through the pan. It's like the gimbal cannot keep the camera level. It's properly balanced and auto-tuned. Any ideas?

  • @davidp158

    I am unable to position any Track way points with my GH5 as shown in this video. Selecting a point and moving the camera simply creates another waypoint, yet that waypoint is not in the correct position on playback. Adding a new waypoint with the plus icon simply stacks a new point directly above the previous one, and is also in the wrong location. I am able to (very roughly) drag a waypoint on the tiny app grid but the process is slow and extremely inaccurate. This would be a great feature if I could only get it to work.

    wobbly and jittery, more or less the results I got. Are there any settings that make this feature usable?

    Can you do this with a canon 5dmk3? the only way i'm seeing is by downloading magic lantern but i'm not sold on doing so. Thanks, Ky

    thanks for the vid, but to me both the static and the motion timelapse look really shaky... Balance problem?

    • @multicopterwarehousellc
      @multicopterwarehousellc  6 лет назад +1

      The balance seemed to be dead on. A tiny bit of stabilization in post would have fixed it. I haven't seen a gimbal yet that will do this perfectly yet, you need to know what the system is capable of and not expect perfection, but know how to fix any little things like that in post.

      they probably didnt use warp stabiliser

    • @multicopterwarehousellc
      @multicopterwarehousellc  6 лет назад +1

      No stabilization was done in post production, the shots were right off the camera.

      that could've been camera sensor stabilisation which cuz that shakiness

      WoodsTV You might be right!
      During timelapses and long exposures you should always always alwaysss turn off sensor and lens stabilization.

    Can u make the motionlapse have have a smooth motion? For example there’s currently mo way to do intervals on the sony camera so i use 1 fps. Can u do a continuous motion? Or does this have to he done with the track mode and set it to like 10 minutes?

    10 sec of final cut x 24 frames divided by 2 sec is 120 photos right?

    In which program you create video. How You connect all pictures?

    • @elcasanelles5806

      if you have DVR it's just drag and drop. A bit more complex LR timelapse, (ideal for holy grail).

    This doesn't work with my sony a7iii. Sony a7iii only shoots video (controlled from the app) but if motionlapse or timelapse does not take pictures (controlled with the app).

    Does my camera need to be in Manual mode? I tried doing this tutorial but it won’t even start taking photos.
    I’m using a A7III and the app on my phone.

    Just to be sure, is none of this possible without a program to merge the photos and set the read speed?

    • @GioFar
      @GioFar 6 лет назад +2

      you need a program, the fps final duration is just there to give you an idea of how many shot you need and how long is going to take

    • @smkaarthikeyan
      @smkaarthikeyan 5 лет назад

      @@JonnyRay82 I guess yes. I do 360 degree photography and we always turn of VR. VR sometimes tries to compensate vibrations even if there was none. It took a day to isolate the issue. Try once without VR.

    • @JonnyRay82

      After doing some more research, it seems to be more than that. The Ronin S will have this kind of shaky video in long motion lapse exposures it seems.
