Since 1962, The Dubliners have been enthralling audiences worldwide with their music and song. The strength and attractiveness of The Dubliners has always been in the personalities of the musicians who have made up this boisterous band of balladeers, from original members, Ronnie Drew, Barney McKenna, Luke Kelly, Ciarán Bourke, John Sheahan and Bob Lynch to the arrival at different stages of Jim McCann, Seán Cannon, Eamonn Campbell and finally the peerless Paddy Reilly.

The Dubliners are one of the very few groups I've heard singing live. And that was just after I visited Ireland.

Banger..🔥🇮🇪
I've been a semi regular visitor to Dublin since 1975. My most recent was 2016, before that, O'Connell Street changed even in that period but Dublin just south of the Liffey is nothing like it was in the 1970s.
Named my daughter Hannah Liffey , her mom wouldn't do Anna Liffey..😂
@@joshmaxwell7968 I don't get it - the difference between Amma and Hannah, in my accent, they sound the same
oh i love it!
Gwan paddy up the Irish ☘️
Old guys with beard are the best. Can safely ignore boybands.
I'm from Liverpool FC
So am I, got the tattoo to prove it. But fuck football now, it's just a distraction while the globalist bastards are making war on us all. People need to wake the fuck up to what's happening.
Anyway, as a scouser, the Dubliners and Paddy Reilly are legends.
🌺👍🌹❤️
Dublin in a rare old times
Based on songs and stories, heroes of renown. Are the
Passing tales and glories, that once was Dublin town. The
Hallowed halls and houses, the haunting children's rhymes.
That once was Dublin city in The Rare Old Times.
Chorus:
Ring a-ring a-Rosie, as the light declines, I
Remember Dublin city in the rare oul' times
My name it is Sean Dempsey, as Dublin as can be
Born hard and late in Pimlico, in a house that ceased to be.
By trade I was a cooper, lost out to redundancy.
Like my house that fell to progress, my trade's a memory.
And I courted Peggy Dignan, as pretty as you plese,
A rogue and child of Mary, from the rebel Liberties.
I lost her to a student chap, with skin as black as coal.
When he took her off to Birmingham, she took away my soul.
Chorus
The years have made me bitter, tha gargle dims my brain,
'Cause Dublin keeps on changing, and nothing seems the same.
The Pillar and the Met have gone, the Royal long since pulled down,
As the great unyielding concrete, makes a city of my town.
Chorus
Fare thee fell sweet Anna Liffey, I can no longer stay,
And watch the new glass cages, that spring up along the Quay.
My mind's too full of memories, too old to hear new chimes,
I'm part of what was Dublin, in The Rare Old Times.
Chorus
No better
Makes me think of Oscar Wilde James Connolly Padraig Pearce Ronnie Drew Imelda May Luke Kelly Padre Pio Daniel O Connell W B Yeats Sean O Riordan Edmund Burke Samuel Beckett etc
And lady Gregory and synge too!
@@boblevine9069 why of course. I couldn't write for hours! Lived in Synge street when I first lived in Dublin where George Bernard Shaw born
Mythique...
Dublin is now overrun with non Irish foreigners.
Better put a cap on that Ireland!
Cities across the world are full of Irish people
