Since 1962, The Dubliners have been enthralling audiences worldwide with their music and song. The strength and attractiveness of The Dubliners has always been in the personalities of the musicians who have made up this boisterous band of balladeers, from original members, Ronnie Drew, Barney McKenna, Luke Kelly, Ciarán Bourke, John Sheahan and Bob Lynch to the arrival at different stages of Jim McCann, Seán Cannon, Eamonn Campbell and finally the peerless Paddy Reilly.
    Produced By: David Donaghy
    Sound Engineer: Brian Nartey

Jim McCann sings this as the definitive version, with a waltzy swing. I see that dark figure approaching that cruel remorseless old foe and I raise my glass in his honour come drink with old roisin the bow.....Jim McCann,,,was a great confident singer. Showed us all how to do it

What a line up. All were unique talents. After Paddy Reilly‘s exit, Al O‘Donnel should joined in instead of Patsy!

Reimagined in the 1960s by The New Christy Minstrals. Called the "Denver" Song.

    My version
I've travelled all over this world.
And now to another I go.
I know that good quarters are waiting.
To welcome old Rosin the Beau.
To welcome old Rosin the Beau.
To welcome old Rosin the Beau.
I know that good quarters are waiting.
To welcome old Rosin the Beau.
When I'm dead and laid out on the counter.
A voice you will hear from below.
Saying, "Send down a hogshead of whiskey.
Take a drink with old Rosin the Beau."
Take a drink with old Rosin the Beau.
Take a drink with old Rosin the Beau.
Saying, "Send down a hogshead of whiskey.
Take a drink with old Rosin the Beau."
Then get a half dozen stout fellows.
And line them all up in a row.
Let them drink out of half gallon bottles to.
The memory of Rosin the Beau.
To the memory of Rosin the Beau.
To the memory of Rosin the Beau.
Let them drink out of half gallon bottles to.
The memory of Rosin the Beau.
Then get ye a couple of bottles.
Put one at my head and my toe.
With a diamond ring scratch upon them.
The name of old Rosin the Beau.
The name of old Rosin the Beau.
The name of old Rosin the Beau.
With a diamond ring scratch upon them.
The name of old Rosin the Beau.
Then get these half dozen stout fellows.
And let them all stagger and go.
And dig a great hole in the meadow.
And in it put Rosin the Beau.
And in it put Rosin the Beau.
And in it put Rosin the Beau.
Let them dig a great hole in the meadow.
And in it put Rosin the Beau.
Well I fear the old tyrant approaching.
That cruel and remorseless old foe.
I lift up my glass in his honour.
Take a drink with old Rosin the Beau.
Take a drink with old Rosin the Beau.
Take a drink with old Rosin the Beau.
I lift up my glass in his honour.
Take a drink with old Rosin the Beau.
Take a drink with old Rosin the Beau.
Take a drink with old Rosin the Beau.
I lift up my glass in his honour.
Take a drink with old Rosin the Beau.

It should be : "Rosin' the Bow"
Rosin is the substance that you put on the bow when you're playing a Violin to make friction on the strings of the Violin. Without it it will barely produce any sound.
