By a lonely prison wall I heard a young girl calling "Michael, they have taken you away For you stole Trevelyan's corn So the young might see the morn Now a prison ship lies waiting in the bay" Low lie the fields of Athenry Where once we watched the small free birds fly Our love was on the wing we had dreams and songs to sing It's so lonely 'round the fields of Athenry By a lonely prison wall I heard a young man calling "Nothing matters, Mary, when you're free Against the famine and the crown I rebelled, they cut me down Now you must raise our child with dignity" Low lie the fields of Athenry Where once we watched the small free birds fly Our love was on the wing we had dreams and songs to sing It's so lonely 'round the fields of Athenry By a lonely harbour wall She watched the last star falling As that prison ship sailed out against the sky For she lived in hope and pray For her love in Botany Bay It's so lonely 'round the fields of Athenry Low lie the fields of Athenry Where once we watched the small free birds fly Our love was on the wing we had dreams and songs to sing It's so lonely 'round the fields of Athenry

When I was in high school, my nickname was “Dropkick”. Because I always wore this Dropkick Murphys t-shirt. It had the lyrics “Low lie the fields of Athenry. Where once we watched the small free birds fly. Etc.” I used to shrug it off. Then I got in touch with my ancestry and realized I’m 30% Irish. I always feel like nothing really fits me or understands me. Then I listen to this and I’m home.

I was staying in Scotland many years ago. The Dubliners were appearing at the local theatre and I went along. One Englishman amongst a sea of Scots and Irish....it was a magic evening and after all these years I still remember the quality and passion of their performance.
Lived in Ireland for five years and I will always have the feeling that I didn´t get enough. The culture, the love for the motherland, songs... I saw a feeling of patriotism, not in the fanatical way, but of being proud of what you are and where you are from. I wish I could live there again in the future. Long live Ireland.
ive spent the entire night reading about the great famine. I am studying agricultural sciences and am learning about Phytophthora infestans atm, and it just strikes me hard how such a small organism, coming from Mexico on boat around 1840 to Europe has changed the history this dramatically of an entire country. Ireland has never reached its original population count since the great famine, and i have tremendous respect for those that suffered at the hands of the upperclass who refused to help. I'm getting goose bumps listening to this story told by the singer. Be proud of your heritage Ireland, be proud of your heritage Europe

Being an englishman,a man united and celtic fan, this music is lovely,i dont look at it in the political side of things, ive been to see these legends,i sing most songs but some i dont, but what a quality band, irish music is beautifully created in its own way, songs have meanings, songs are cheerful, songs are wonderfully sung, but best of all, irish artists and songs gets u pissed, peace to all and love to everyone
I have this tune running through my mind, day and night. The Dubliners with Paddy Reilly singing is my favorite version of the song. I'm American yet it brought me to tears at first hearing. Though I'm half Russian, and quarter Scottish and English by blood I know of the famine. Going back generations I know I've kin all through the Isles for I am involved in mankind. I've much blood on my hands from the Vietnam War yet I found peace and forgiveness through Christ Jesus. No other way could release my soul from hate and anger. I listen to Bloody Sunday often and my hands still shake, but my heart is stilled by hope and faith in God. I hope and pray that the Belfast Child sings again with unbounded joy. God bless you all😊

I’m still listening in 2024,I was blessed with Irish music by being born into an Irish family who always played music like this ❤️
My family are Yorkshire, Scot and Irish.
I and my family visited Ireland, and Northern Ireland in 2013. It was an unforgettable vacation: the scenery, castles, waterfalls, lighthouses, Irish hospitality, and the people in general. Every one should visit Ireland.

Am here because we just lost to Ireland in the group stages of the Rugby World Cup. Irish fans belted this tune at the stadium and had to search it out. Hope we meet again in the finals 😊

I'm an American of Irish decent. We Irish are as the "wild geese" flown to many continents and countries. Whether you are Catholic or Protestant, you are my brother. I am 74 years of age, in the twilight of life, I wish that no Irishman ever raise his hand to another Irish man......EVER again! Never forget, we are one people, American, Australian, Canadian, New Zealand, Tasmania, Ireland North and South, we are IRISH!
Too right we are the same under the same roof

Great song. It's on my playlist, I listen to this all the time, even when I take my child to school. 🇮🇹🇮🇪

First time i heard this song in 2016 on football stadium in France. Sadness and power in one melody, tragedy and hope. Soul of Irish people👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The story contained in this song is heartbreaking. The music brings a power to the words - it is ultimately beyond the ability of words to describe. This is an excellent version.

What is really going on?
===================
Covid is the SARS-CoV-2 Virus
But the SARS-CoV-2 Virus has not been purified AND isolated AND genome sequenced end-to-end anywhere in the world.
Pointless having a Test Swab as there is nothing to compare the test result too.
PCR Test cannot identify a Virus.
All PCR test results are invalid.
Lateral Flow Antigen Test cannot identify a Virus.
All Lateral Flow Antigen Test results are invalid.
The only way to identify an individual Virus is a Spectroscopy Test.
However as the SARS-CoV-2 Virus has not been isolated anywhere in the world there is nothing to compare the Swab Test sample too.
Thus pointless having a Spectroscopy Test.
Conclusion -- There is no SARS-CoV-2 airborne Virus.

Face Mask Contaminated -- Graphene
5G signal can activate the Graphene and shred your lungs from within.
Face Mask is filling peoples lungs with Graphene.
5G is a Dual Communication Network and Weapon System.
5G signal can be focused on a defined area called Beam Forming for example the brain and/or the lungs where the Graphene will accumulate within the body.
Thus Graphene on the Test Swab and in the Injection and the Contaminated Face Mask enters the body either the brain and/or the lungs and can be activated by the 5G signal at any time.
Tragically activating the Graphene left inside the body will kill the person.
Is this all part of the Depopulation plan?

By a lonely prison wall
I heard a young girl calling
"Michael, they have taken you away
For you stole Trevelyan's corn
So the young might see the morn
Now a prison ship lies waiting in the bay"
Low lie the fields of Athenry
Where once we watched the small free birds fly
Our love was on the wing we had dreams and songs to sing
It's so lonely 'round the fields of Athenry
By a lonely prison wall
I heard a young man calling
"Nothing matters, Mary, when you're free
Against the famine and the crown
I rebelled, they cut me down
Now you must raise our child with dignity"
Low lie the fields of Athenry
Where once we watched the small free birds fly
Our love was on the wing we had dreams and songs to sing
It's so lonely 'round the fields of Athenry
By a lonely harbour wall
She watched the last star falling
As that prison ship sailed out against the sky
For she lived in hope and pray
For her love in Botany Bay
It's so lonely 'round the fields of Athenry
Low lie the fields of Athenry
Where once we watched the small free birds fly
Our love was on the wing we had dreams and songs to sing
It's so lonely 'round the fields of Athenry

Gorgeous music! Lovely people!
This is an incredible comment, Javier! I love (and second) every intentional word you've written here. Thank you.
ive spent the entire night reading about the great famine.
Thanks I never saw this mentioned before

I love Italy, what part of Italy are you in?
