all of the originals are gone. I started listening to them in the late 60's. My mother saw them in Ireland and purchased an album "Live from Albert Hall". I played the grooves of it. Took me forever to understand them. A kid from Missouri had no exposure to an Irish accent. Rest in Peace my dear band.
Somebody please give The Dubliners a second live on RUclips. They are one of the best and humoristic (lyrics) bands on earth. Please boost these everlasting musicians.
Great gig ,it was June 2002,a lovely summers night in Dublin ,great Summer of sport for the Irish team in Japan and the return of the Dubs in lLeinster, unfortunately we will never see the likes of The Dubliners again sadly they represented something that is gone forever in Ireland.and it only took 20 years.let the music keep your spirits high.
Absolutely fantastic , listened to it all afternoon on a grey old miserable day in uk , I’ve family in Dublin , Cork and Belfast with a lot of family laid to rest in Eniskillen Convent Cemetery, RIP all …..a Truly Talented group of individuals in their day , their music lives on ❤❤❤
Ah God that's just a great show ..as a Dubliner living in Australia I remember when the Dubliners started out they where great back then ..Thank you all so much For the years of enjoyment you have us God bless you you all xxxxx
The Best Ballad Band in Ireland ! My Late Brother was a good friend with all of them he was with the Jolly-Beggermen and he frequented O Donoghues aswell , This Concert is like the Dubliners Last Waltz especially with Jim and Paddy it was perfect, They have giving us so much pleasure .
I went to see the Dublin Legends 2 days ago in Hamburg, Germany. Seán Cannon is still going strong and the band had a great performance with great resonance in the hall. I am forever saddened that I never had the chance to see The Dubliners perform live, but seeing the Dublin Legends eased that pain, it was truely a great and remarkable performance and I'm so happy that I went there. Best music ever.
You ALL expanded my life many Years ago! GOD BLESS YOU ALL! I STILL PRAY TO GET ME AND MY LOVE TO RETURN TO EIRE WHERE WE USED TO GO TO FLEADH'S BECAUSE YOU ALL GLADDENED OUR HEARTS!
God bless it's St. Patrick's Day and I'm German Irish and Finnish. My Grandmother told me the stories about the leprechauns and taught me how to dance the Irish jig. Love this day and all the Irish souls everywhere!! Take care and stay safe and don't listen to too much of these dad sad songs.
I am also so homesick, do you love the dubliners like I do? I’m from Newfoundland, we we’re brought up on Irish muziek and love the Dubliners. I am from Newfoundland, Canada .
Been following this amazing band since they started all those years ago! Great to see talented musicians playing their own instruments and singing in harmony! Five guitars a fiddle and banjo making great and everlasting music! Rock on Dubs! Possibly never see the likes of you again.
Hi Its terrible these days as regards Irish live Music in Bars I'm from Dublin now I live in the west of Ireland and I long for the old days when you could walk into a Bar in Galway and find a group of players jijing and reeling then 4 Songs and then tradisional all night ,, its all gone since Tony Blair's good friday agreement part of that deal was to faze out the singing of old ballads with anti british sentiments and patriotic lyrics .. now over here the small towns are in there houses watching tv at 10:30 pm.. most of the bars are closed down , and the live music is only tradisional these days.
Great balladeers, musicians, entertainers & Irish patriots. Only recently (last decade or so) have I known of the group, but have been very impressed by their evolution & appreciate their sharing of our forebears’ culture.
For someone with no Irish heritage (fake or real) I absolutely love this! Everyday I discover new songs from this amazing band! May them rest in peace and thanks for what you gave us!
This concert was performed 20 years ago after 40 years and it was added to RUclips 3 years ago... Their music is built on harmony and will last forever. No one could replace them. 🍀
Only a wee bit Irish from my maternal grandmother’s maternal grandparents but as I have slowed to enjoy life, seasons, foods, music & my ethnic heritage. Tying all of those together, adding these men to my listening times have added pleasure, relaxation, curiosity and the quality of my life. Thank You, Dubliners, for adding to my life.
It's nice to hear the story behind the song very emotional I love it we always play the ballets on my birthday which is coming up in to weeks I love them they will never be forgotten 😘🌹🌹

IS THERE any HOPE THAT WE COULD HAVE WORDS WRITTEN FOR THESE SONGS ? My father was born in Dublin in 1987, Trinity College and captain of Landsdown, but i have only once been to Ireland - Dublin with a Horse Show and County Kerry for the fishing. I was married in 1963 and have five grandchildren and cousins in Australia who might be interested. Subtitles are misleading to say the least.
Thank you for showing this wonderful Irish group 🍀☘️💚☘️🍀☘️🌈🌈

John is as good as original. Id say he's on their first recordings am I correct. And probably the most important factor to the band in my opinion.
And Barney

Unfortunately the younger generation are not interested in such great music. They laugh at stupid things on that tik Tok.

Next to the unique voices John‘s fiddle play had a very big impact to the sound. Simply brilliant!
The fiddle and the tin whistle aswell.

I just made other comments that john is probably the most important part of their sound, especially together with Barney.
