Many many a drunken night with me dad listening to the Dubliners. I now have his whole collection of music and it's all folk music but more Dubliners than anything Miss you old man xx
One word excellent. Takes me back to the days when I work on British Rail in 1974 working on the Preston to Glasgow electfication project as a labourer. We had our own train we lived on moving down the line as we worked fantastic crew of manly Irish lads we were out every night on the lash the good old times. Beer woman & music. Spent all me live working the Railway after meeting the wife in Glasgow we came to London where I joined London Transport till I retired.
Wenn man auf dem Kontinent an Irland denkt, dann sofort an die traditionelle Irish Folk Music. Und wenn man an "Irish Folk" denkt, ist man sofort bei den DUBLINERS. Wundervoll!
I raise my glass to these talented people, and all the Irish people I have had the pleasure to work with, the beer and the criac will live in my heart forever. Thanks lads. an English man.
4 days before St Patrick's Day 🍀☘️🍀☘️🍀 and love listening to Dubliners 🌈🌈🌈🌈😊😊😊😊 was on Dublin Back in 1995 And all over Ireland loved the beautiful country And the lovely friendly people once in a lifetime trip I'll always remember with great pleasure it was part of a 15 day trip that included England Scotland And Wales
im 23 and from america, i wish i had grown up with this music. I will carry their songs and memories with me to honor them and the joy theyve brought me. Rip to those who've passed. I'd love to share a beer in heaven someday.
Have u seen the DVD like Kelly the collection it's fantastic, features all live songs with him singing with the Dubliners and some great interviews and stories.
Started to love Irish folk music thanks to my dad who lived in Rosslare and Castlebridge while he worked for an Irish transport company. Mom, my younger brother and I remained in the Netherlands. During the holiday season we'd travel to Ireland to spend Christmas and new year's eve as a family. In Holland I played dad's cassette tapes of the Dubliners and Davey Arthur and The Fureys till I could sing along all the songs. In the past we've seen them play live a couple of times I'm grateful for that. Now 35 years later I am still enjoying their music and often play their concerts thanks to RUclips and Spotify. Their music will never fade they've left a legacy that will last forever ❤
Beautiful concert with wonderfully talented musicians!! The Dubliners who are my favourite group will long be remembered forever in Dublin and the world.
55 years listening. My mother father's fabulous choice of music, Sunday mornings getting ready for mass, meeting the people's from all over the world. Thank you father RIP.
It makes me proud to be Irish listening to our music , you would know that we are a people that just loves the craic, I hope that we never lose it to progress.
@@Ben-gl6pw Not true. There are more groups like the Dubliners now than there were back then. Just search for any Irish folk song on RUclips and you'll get to watch them all performing live in Ireland or across the world, many with millions of views. If anything Irish folk music is growing in popularity.
As a Scotsman, there's something about Irish music that hits the heart. We have beautiful gaidhlig music, and of course our national treasure, The Corries. But it's not as ubiquitous as Irish music. It's so very enjoyable to listen to the embodiment of tradition. Edit: Cousins by culture, and hopefully freedom.
Your last sentence - yes, I agree and have always thought so! btw, I'm American of Irish descent. I was born a Murphy, adopted by the Garrick family, and married a Donohue. I'm triple Irish!
@@johnhariis250 I was too in Ireland ..... working... i wish to come back to live. I can say that is the most lovely and magic country, I was/am falling in love with Ireland. It makes me feel different. From Basque Country-Navarre greetings.
I saw the Concert in Esbjerg, Denmark with my Sister and I was over the Moon!! Unfortunately Ronnie Drew was not present. Thank You Dubliners!! You have allways been the best!!!! c;)
I have so much heard that name of "Esbjerg" for a over a decade now because I have a friend in Kiel (a bi-national English /German) who always travel in ferry from Esbjerg to Norwich. (Well nothing to do with the Dubliners ; it is just that the town name caught my eye). Hello to you from the French Alps anyway.
Talk about talented people amazing I was privileged to see the Dubliners, Lily my late my mother in law and I had an unforgettable night watching and listening to them. Thanks for the memories guys. Cheers
Im 34 and discovered my roots lie in Ireland. This music speaks to me on the deepest level possible. These guys are the reason at 34 I picked up the fiddle and started learning. Love them forever. Thanks for the concert.
I have great, sincere respect for the Dubliners, The Wolfe Tones and the High Kings for keeping the Irish folk musical tradition alive to this very day. May they be remembered all over the world for their amazing talent. Edit: It’s 3 days till St Patricks Day! 💪🍀☘️🇮🇪🍀☘️💪

GREAT PERFORMANCE performed by a GREAT GREAT GROUP! This music and these songs make my Austrian heart swinging and my soul singing. I think there's an inner kinship between Irish and Austrians. Isn't it so?
Only a wee bit Irish from my maternal grandmother’s maternal grandparents but as I have slowed to enjoy life, seasons, foods, music & my ethnic heritage. Tying all of those together, adding these men to my listening times have added pleasure, relaxation, curiosity and the quality of my life. Thank You, Dubliners, for adding to my life.
