You might want to check on your teeth when putting lemon juice in your water. I don't know how you consume that water, but if you sip on it all day, little sips at a time, spread throughout the day, you expose your teeth to a high frequency of acid. This can cause erosion over time. I see you have a straw in your cup, its best to always drink through a straw and drink it all at once.

Cutting the fruits and vegetables decreases their nutritional value. The nutrient that suffers the heaviest hit in cut fruits and vegetables is probably vitamin C, although some vitamin A and vitamin E get lost as well. These vitamins are antioxidants, which means they react to oxygen. The peels and coverings naturally protect the antioxidant vitamins inside. Once you break through the protective coverings, the flesh inside is exposed to air and the oxygen reduces the antioxidant vitamins.

Erm... not to rain on your parade, but, chopped onions / garlic, and specially garlic in oil, are very susceptible to developing botulism, which is very dangerous. You should *never* infuse oil with raw garlic, nor store pre-chopped onion for longer than a few hours to a day!

I use the loblaws or superstore online grocery orders. With mobility issues it makes it so easy. Order online. Show up, park in the designated spot, call the number on the sign and they come put it in your car. I also love that you can check off that you have your own bags and they come get them and you don't end up with a million plastic bags! I hate chopping onions and don't eat them raw so i buy the no name frozen diced onions and they work like a charm and never go bad since they are kept in the freezer.

I do delivery groceries too. It has really helped me save time and money. I suppose the potential is there to shop really badly in the moment but I work on my list all week and review things as I go. If I make an impulse choice then I have time to reconsider. I try to be esp disciplined when I am finalizing my order. I also have started a fav list of all the stuff I buy for easy reference. Each week I start there to build my list based on what ran out and what's on sale. I sometimes list different brands or sizes so I can compare the deals.
Bigger families can save money on this deal. I pay 10 dollars for delivery and I am fine with that but at my store if you go over $125 they deliver free. I think that's a pretty reasonable amount for most fam to spend on groceries...esp easy of you get your toiletries and household goods in the same order.

How about just make the smoothies and store in mason jars in the freezer? Put one in the fridge before bed and it’s ready to go in the AM 🤷🏻‍♀️🤪😊

I like this video- very informative! However, you should NOT mince/dice/chop your garlic ahead of time. It degrades the nutrients in the garlic and makes marinades more bitter. For quick chopped garlic/onions, you can buy a hand powered chopper - it's a game changer!

I order bulk food online but NEVER fresh fruit or veg from supermarket. They always give you the least fresh items. I have a local milk delivery company (glass bottles to your door) they supply fresh local fruit and veg. Amazing.
    Love the hacks!!!!

Wowww that was brilliant 🤩especially smoothie packs n herb infused ice cubes.but I am wondering is frozen oil good for your health???and does freezing smoothie ingredients lower it’s nutritional value????

It isn't a good idea to chop fruit and vegetables ahead, let alone store it in the freezer. You lose vitamins. Making a smoothie isn't a good idea either :D Again, you lose vitamins due to oxidation and then you digest the sugars to fast (not good for the liver), chewing is healthier. Forget smoothie, eat an apple.

Do you manage to NOT touch the food that you prepare?
      Food gets touched...it's normal.
Are you just bothered by the WAY she was touching it?
Maybe some people are simply more tactile than you.
There's no harm in it as long as your hands are clean. 👐🏻👍🏻

Here's a green smoothie recipe I found that works for busy mornings as the main is made ahead of time all you do is add cubres to blender with liquid of choice then pour and go. I used this again to start my smoothies for 7dsy challenge.
    Power Smoothie Disks
Makes 4 servings to be used individually

      ..
Sorry let's try this recipe again
3 cups chapped Spinach (or Kale)
      1 cup chopped cucumber
1 cup chopped pineapple (canned works fine reserve juice for making smoothie)
      3/4 cups coconut water
      4 slices peeled ginger
      Pinch tumeric
Puree all ingredients in blender or food processor.
      Divide among 12 muffin cups
Freeze until firm, about 6 hours.
Store Disks in airtight container in freezer.
For 1 smoothie blend 3 disks with 3/4 cups coconut water.
Note: you can use the reserved pineapple juice, other fruit juice or liquid if choice to make the smoothie in morning.
I find this delicious, wuich and easy. Great meal prep for week.

I tried the flavoured olive oil ice cubes hack today and it turned out just horrible. The cubes simply would not get out from my ice form. I guess noone wants to have an ice form forever filled with flavoured olive oil (even if it's unbelievably tasty), so I had to proceed with shaking the form desperately till it literally cracked into pieces. Rest in peace, ice form. 0/10, Wouldn't recommend this hack. I hope someone finds this comment and saves their time.

You need to try it with a silicone ice cube tray so you can easily pop them out or just warm up the bottom with some warm water and they will slide right out! Sorry you had some issues I promise this works and I have a stock pile of these flavour cubes in my freezer 🙌🏼

Thanks for reminding me. I have a ton of onions. I'm going to prep them and put them tomorrow and freeze them. I use ziploc snack baggies for them. They're really cheap so I don't mind tossing them after or I reuse for more onions later. The small ziplocs are perfect for a serving of onions. I'm doing MFP now so I'll have to measure them, too and have each bag be like 1 cup or whatever.
