Hi guys! I hope you love this new winter meal prep video! I'll be giving a few extra meal prep tips over on Instagram stories later today...so make sure to follow me @Downshiftology on Instagram. And let me know which recipe you're most excited to make. :) Happy meal prepping! xo - Lisa
As someone who is blind who cooks, I want to thank you so much, for listing how much of each ingredient we need when you’re talking about your recipes. That makes my life so much easier! So thank you again
In addition to your wonderful recipes, I always appreciate your calm, relaxed demeanor. So many YT videos are frenetic and over the top. It's a refreshing change of pace!
I just wanna say that I cannot even imagine how much work this video has meant to you, but I want you to know that it is the MOST helpful and my favorite type of video because I learn soo many tricks and ideas out of them. THANKS for your hard work! Happy Chinese New Year from a vegan follower living in Shanghai
I spent the entire Sunday afternoon prepping all of this. It was A LOT of work..BUT during the week it made it super easy! I'm grateful because today is Wednesday and I'm not bored with the options. One thing was the crackers were a bit difficult to make and wasn't crazy about the end results, but everything else was great. M fav is the spirialized sweet potatoes with aoili sauce. Delish!
Please please please more meal prep videos!! When I first subscribed at the beginning of the year, I watched every one of these videos that I could find all the way through. I completely meal prepped all of January (A first for me)! I don’t think I would have stayed with it if it weren’t for your videos!
@@Downshiftology Ditto! I have done the same thing. Thanks so much Lisa, you've inspired me to get organised in the kitchen, with my shopping lists and setting aside a day to meal prep is making my whole week much easier. Love your videos! xo
I'm no stranger to the world of meal prepping - both my husband and I will spend an entire Sunday cooking. You've reminded me of the benefit to prepping even ingredients, such as chopped onion in a container on hand, I've been cooking since I was a small child and never thought of that (duh) so thank you!
I absolutely love your meal prep videos! I have used the PDFs and recipes to create delicious meals for myself for the week many times. As someone who is working full time and getting my Master's degree, these guides have really helped me stay healthy during a super busy season of my life. I hope that you won't stop making these even though you now have a complete set for Winter/Spring/Summer/Fall. I can always use new ideas. Thank you so much for sharing!
The beet hummus, the seed crackers, pork, lentils, veggies, vinaigrettes... 😋 what a great episode. I will come back to this one and make these, for sure. 😊
What I love most about your meal prep videos is how when all food is made you show the breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack options to nourish you through the week w/o any room for boredom. You have a.true flair for making simple and healthy food very snazzy and delicious. Kudos to you. Always love more meal prep ideas😀 Hugs, Laurie
just subscribed! I am on my third week in bed recovering from a back injury and the idea of prepping food never occurred to me until I came across your videos. so pleased and excited to try your ideas when I am recovered! Thank you SO much!!
These videos are my FAVORITE! I so appreciate the creativity in the foods you make, how you combine them and all those amazing camera angles! We know it's a labor of love, we appreciate all your hard work!
Favorite videos you do!! You’ve change my way of thinking about meal prep! I used to always get sick of eating the same thing and then half of my meal prep would go to waste and I’d opt for take out. This has made it so much easier to stay on budget and stay healthy while I start my career!!
This is truly amazing! I love how balanced each meal is and how you've picked in-season ingredients too. I'm just so impressed on how thorough you were with this meal prep video. Thank you so much!
I enjoy so much how in detail and well-timed your video is. I didn't feel rushed like with other RUclipsrs. thanks for creating quality content. I value your editing and all the beautiful and delicious recipes.
This video was 25 minutes but is jam packed with a lot of AMAZING ideas for easy prepping and storage! I love how you are not using a bunch of sugar or carbs in them. I am in love with your channel and definitely subscribing. Thank you so much for sharing!
Love the way you prep, love to see more. I was very surprised about your vegetable storing option and I do it now too. Could you make a video on storing in general. For example what are all the vegetables you can store in water? And how to store properly other things like cilantro and so. That would be great
OMG I love it! Finally, a healthy meal prep with pork! It seems like the rest of healthy/clean eating community is scared of this type of meat. Honestly, only eating chicken can get old sometimes, no matter how well it's cooked haha. Thank you very much!
Aleksandra Kirillova exactly. I was soooo tired of chicken. I prepped a roast for this week. Sides are all veggies: cauliflower rice and green beans. Yummy and healthy.
I love your balanced approach to eating. I’m 65 and Italian. We eat a lot of varied food but I do realise times have changed and even though my husband and I still eat traditionally, this is something I think the younger generation would like better. I don’t think being extreme in anything is good. Love your candied peel which I make for baking. Great idea using it as a sweet snack. How long will most of you cooked food prep last in the fridge? I cook every day, sometimes having leftovers. I like the idea of not freezing food. I would like this for my daughter. Please make more meal prepping videos! I love watching you and despite my age, I’m learning! :)
I leave every video you make inspired and ready to cook. I can’t thank you enough for your healthy, environmentally friendly recipes and meal prepping. You have become my go-to since finding you while searching for Vitamix recipes.
Love your meal preps...But really love how you show how to you fix the meals after it's done. It is frustrating to have a recipe for something that you would like to cook or try because you have the ingredients and want to use them up...but you don't a clue on how you should use the food if you decide to make it. So Great Job!
By far the best winter recipes I have found all across RUclips so far!! Thanks so much, Lisa! You ought to know, I am becoming more obsessed with my kitchen and preparing my own meals because of you.
Thank you for making these videos. You do a very professional job and appreciate all the effort you go to educate the public on making healthier choices. Don't worry about the negative comments from others--those folks will always be losers in life and have nothing but negative energy--misery loves company--they need to organize a Meet Up group of all their miserable, negative friends. If you don't like something, fine. Just move on and find something else. I appreciate anything anybody provides for a healthy lifestyle. I've watched hundreds videos and have shared your channel with friends. I always learn something new. Thank you for making these videos.
I have made these twice since following you a few weeks back. They are a tremendous hit with the hummus recipe you have. First time I made them, I followed your recipe to a tee and the second time I added a bit more. I added 1/4 tsp turmeric, dash of pepper, hemp seeds (since i didn't have pumpkin seeds) and a dash cayenne. My family and friends love them. Also, I wanted to let you know that I dehydrated them in my excalibur at 155 degrees for 5 hours. Awesome! Thank you so much. I love your recipes and channel. I made your hummus as well and added fermented beets for a totally different flavor. Again Awesome.
🍌 *Love this video!!* 😍 For the bananas, you can put the almond butter/chia seed mixture into a small sandwich bag, cut a tiny hole at the bottom, and squeeze it onto each banana slice. 🍯✨ It’s so much easier and way less messy! 🙌 Can’t wait to try all of these recipes!! 🧡🍴✨
Thank you so much for all the healthy and nutritious meals you share with us. You inspire me and my family with fun and delicious new ways of eating! We are new to this, and all your tips and advice are so helpful!
Again, as a vegan, i'll skip everything with the pork (or replace it with seitan) and eggs, but you give so many interesting tips! For exemple, i never thought of using my spiralizer to slice the cabbage... I realised you are the only non vegan food youtuber i enjoy watching! Good job, your work is very inspiring. (sorry for my bad english)

Fabulous dear Lisa!!!! Thank you so much. I immediately showed my husband the pulled pork recipe because we have a slow cooker and he loves using it! All the meals look really enticing and I can't wait to try them out! Thank you for doing a winter meal prep video! Really, really appreciated!
Omg! I am completely amazed at how bright, beautiful and easy to make all of these meals. I'm truly amazed! This has changed my view in the most absolute on how we can show a bit more love into what we eat.
Ive been watching your videos for about an hour.... I came on here to find music to hear while I did important work-related stuff....but I am addicted! Hi, I am from the Bahamas and I just love the way you do things. You are so organized and clean. The meals are so easy to make and healthy. Love them all.
I cannot help but admire you. You cook delicious and healthy food. You have a gorgeous and clean kitchen and you look amazing. I wish I was prepared for life like how you prepare food.
absolutely loved this! i hope you did not forget about the amazing work you put into the pdf, it's quick, simple and effective. thank you for continuing to shine your light. sending love
Great meal prep video as always. You’re the only one I can watch RUclips video which are during more than 20 min because with others I find that so boring 🤣
I know this is an older video, but for some reason it popped up in my feed today. Thank you so much for helping me fall back in love with fresh food. Everything you made looked so appealing and beautiful.
I just found your channel and I have to say Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Your meal prep videos are going to save me. After many years of cooking for my son and myself, I have been feeling totally fed up with it. After watching your videos, I am excited to get in the kitchen again. I am also going to prepare all the food prior instead of cooking from scratch and then being totally exhausted. Having everything ready makes cooking a breeze. Thanks again!
It's 7pm here and was so excited to see this notification 💟 I have not even watched yet, but liked it already, I know I will. Thanks so much Lisa, and please enjoy some time off 🙌
Wow, oh my goodness, my eyes are watering, from the delicious beauty you’ve prepared, anyone who isn’t hungry right now has no taste! Thank you dearly!
I’m salivating! You did an outstanding job as per usual! I can’t imagine the amount of work that went into this video. Thank you so much for all those ideas, I can’t wait to try them all! 💖
Love this video. Don't usually incorporate veggies in my meal but this is giving me ideas for eating healthy. Will definitely try some of these recipes. The colours of the different veggies on the plate seem so appetizing. Thanks for the ideas.
I live alone and I've been struggling to watch my healthy food budget plus racking my brain to find simple ways to prepare wholesome meals, your simple and great video's hit the spot. Now I have a plan to eat and prepare healthy meals on a budget. Thank you.
These look like great recipes and can’t wait to try them. The Swiss chard, beets and lentils are foods that I haven’t cooked before so looking forward to giving them a try.. Thank u Lisa!!
LISA!!!!! This was totally worth the wait! I LOVE LOVE LOVE your meal prep video's! Everything you do is so elegant and tasteful! Your presentation is amazing also! Thank you for the downloadable guide! You are simply the best!!!!!X0
This all looks so good! I can't wait for my next trip to the store! Yummmmm! Thank for all your hard work on developing the recipes and filming these amazing videos!
Hi Lisa! Thanks so much for all of the great ideas for prepping a lot of my favorite foods! The recipes look amazing too and now that I've subscribed to your blog post, I can't wait to try most of these ideas! I have a spiralizer tool for my Kitchen Aide mixer and I've only used it for zucchini but now the sweet potato looks delicious also spiralized! I have a Ninja Professional blender so I'm hoping that will work for the hummus as well as your Vitamin Blender. I love beets but have not tried roasting them yet and it looks so easy the way you did it. Thanks again and keep the great food prep and recipes coming!
Brilliant! I’ve struggled with making poached eggs but this method is fool proof! Since you make the eggs one at a time I put the oven on low and placed the eggs in a baking dish to keep them warm. Worked a treat, I then placed them on fresh spinach instead of toast and topped them with a dab of pesto and a sprinkle of mixed seeds. Delish! I do love them with asparagus but didn’t have any. Thank you for your beautiful recipes, precise directions and well organized format! I’m a fan!
I have meal prepped in the past and usually pack our meals and store for later, but I find that this takes so much room in the fridge. Your way is so much more simple and I’m definitely going to start this way from now on. Thank you for all your hard work on these videos, PDF files etc. I can’t wait to watch more of your stuff.
Who in their right mind dislikes this video (and ALL videos that this lady has done)? I have been hooked since last week. I have tried a couple of recipes and was pleasantly surprised that eating healthy doesn't have to be boring. And your voice is so pleasant to listen to. You are my "HEALTHY EATING/NUTRITION" voice as Keith Morrisson is my "DATELINE" voice. Thank you so much for all the info. Greatly appreciated.
The kind of eating that this channel describes is budget friendly. Making your own food is budget friendly. The fact that the person has a vitamix etc is irrelevant. Great content here and I appreciate it. I've learned a lot. FB Marketplace free cycle etc give you options for picking up inexpensive or free cooking equipment good luck!
I just found you and your calmness and healthy lifestyle are so soothing. I’m dealing with long haul Covid and your nutrition ideas are helping me get better. Thank you!
Hi Lisa I just want to say thank you so much for your wonderful postings on healthy and clean eating. You’re a fresh of breath air and I love your style of cooking. Keep up the good work and keep encouraging all of us to eat the way we should and making it look beautiful in the process. Have a blessed day.
I can’t imagine all of the time and effort it took to create this video. Thank you. Your ideas are so original and your hard work pays off. One question though - what did you do with all of this food that you made after the video? Did you eat it or store it? Just curious:)
I love cooking but I'm an older old fashioned cook. I loved all your ideas and how you prep and I'm jealous of all your lovely pots and beautiful kitchen. You're a really good modern healthy cook. Thank you. :)
These meal prep videos are amazing and just what I needed! Your recipes are so simple and so great for someone like me who is working towards more of a gut-healthy diet, I am looking forward to trying them. Thank you for sharing, much appreciated!!
Gorgeous meal prep! I’ve cooked it this week and the thing I like the most is that you do few minutes cooking with the prep ingredients, instead of reheating cooked food. My favourite was the last one with pork, humus and chard lentils, yummy, yummy
loved the video! another tip for the oranges is if you're using the peel to eat or for zest, make sure that the oranges write unwaxed because the majority of citrus has a thin wax coating that you eat when you zest. (this goes for lemons too)
We live on a farm. We have pigs and compost. However, neither can/will use orange peel. I never have a ise beside some vintage cleaning spray. It never occurred to me you could candy them and eat them. My mind is blown. Thank you. I'm super excited.

I am trying to keep my diet what is the best way for cooking very good
I'LL BE THERE!
Did you keep the diced onions with the pulled pork when you removed it with the slow cooker? Thx
I didn't, but you can definitely add them!

Agreed! She puts so much work into all of her videos and it really shows
I'd love to see some cheap/budget meal prep ideas for low-income families or university students!
This is Bekki yes!!!!!
There is literally nothing that is crazy expensive in this.
Patricia Pangelinan maybe not the ingredients in themselves but a lot of people can’t afford or don’t have a vitamix or slow cooker etc
@@tieganmadison3274 I understand the frustration with the Vitamix, but crock pots are inexpensive.
Vitamix can be replaced by a 20 dollar mini food processor and a 10-20 dollar slow cooker... which you can get used for much cheaper

Oh yes, it's delicious!
Julie P Same! I also never thought of putting oranges into smoothies. I’m definitely trying that - I LOVE anything with citrus.
Love this video. Don't usually incorporate veggies in my meal but this is giving me ideas for eating healthy. Will definitely try some of these recipes. The colours of the different veggies on the plate seem so appetizing. Thanks for the ideas.
Veggies are a must! I'm glad I can provide some new inspiration when it comes to healthy prepping :)
I live alone and I've been struggling to watch my healthy food budget plus racking my brain to find simple ways to prepare wholesome meals, your simple and great video's hit the spot. Now I have a plan to eat and prepare healthy meals on a budget. Thank you.

Glad you enjoyed this meal prep Dianne! 😊 Cooking for one person can always be a challenge.
Lisa, you literally saved my life and my time! Thank God that you exist! 🤗 So inspiring...
I’m literally sitting here with my grocery shopping organizer waiting for this video 😃😌 I’m the first one !!!
Haha. Yay! Perfect timing then! ;) x
Thanks so much Mari! I'm happy you enjoyed all those new recipes. And that's great that you have all the tools you need as well. Enjoy! x
I’m a fan!
So glad to hear this method worked out for you!
I'm so glad your enjoying the Downshiftology method Krystle 😊Can't wait for you to start meal prepping!
Great meal prep again, Lisa! Well worth the wait😉 I can’t wait to do the slow cooker pulled pork!
Thanks so much! And that's so delicious. Hope you love it! x
Thank you! The beet humus looks delicious 😋
Yay!!! I love your videos, especially meal prep. You have helped me out a lot. Thanks a bunch😘
I'm happy to hear that and I'm glad you enjoy them! :) x
I'm glad my videos are helping you to meal prep and experience the delicious side of eating healthy 😊
It was so worth the wait 😍 Thank you! Your videos are always amazing and they have giving me a new interests in the kitchen ❤️
Thanks so much Amalie! I'm happy they provide a little inspiration for you! x
"Thank you for sharing your recipe ideas...they are nice and delicious as always.."😊😊
Awesome Lisa!!! Thank you so much.
You're welcome! :)
Thanks so much for your kind words Patricia! Hope you continue enjoy Downshiftology recipes and content to come 😊
I can’t imagine all of the time and effort it took to create this video. Thank you. Your ideas are so original and your hard work pays off. One question though - what did you do with all of this food that you made after the video? Did you eat it or store it? Just curious:)
Thanks so much! And both! Haha. I'm still eating leftovers right now. ;)
Wow after long day.. good to see you.. keep it up
Thank you!
@@Downshiftology Wellcome mam
So excited was waiting for a winter meal prep, thanks
Hope you enjoy all the new recipes! :)
Thank you for all the work you have done to make our lives and health so much better.
I love cooking but I'm an older old fashioned cook. I loved all your ideas and how you prep and I'm jealous of all your lovely pots and beautiful kitchen. You're a really good modern healthy cook. Thank you. :)
Thank you so much for those kind words! x
These meal prep videos are amazing and just what I needed! Your recipes are so simple and so great for someone like me who is working towards more of a gut-healthy diet, I am looking forward to trying them. Thank you for sharing, much appreciated!!
I don’t know if I like staring at the food or all of the kitchen tools 😂
Thank you! Very inspiring! 👍👍👍
You're welcome! I'm happy you loved it Alice!
(this goes for lemons too)
I don’t even eat pork but this whole video had me drooling
I'm glad you enjoyed it Ashley!
Finally someone who's not vegan
Port wine (Vinho do Porto) on sweet recipes
, huuumm;
Port wine (Vinho do Porto) the cheeses, huuuuuummm...
We live on a farm. We have pigs and compost. However, neither can/will use orange peel. I never have a ise beside some vintage cleaning spray. It never occurred to me you could candy them and eat them. My mind is blown. Thank you. I'm super excited.
Glad I could provide some new inspiration 😊
Hi tried it and amazed how satisfied my stomach adapt it and no more snacking
Made the sweet potatoes
So deliciously
Good work thanks
