    Thank you. As a newer player I was finding nanites to be my next hurdle.

      Welcome to the NMS community! I am glad you found this helpful. I have a Playlist called NMS 101 that will teach all the basics including much less violent ways of getting lots of nanites. Feel free to subscribe, Glenn. Got lots more to share! And thanks for the comment! If you have any questions please feel free to let me know.

    Nice tip! Just that if to use Refiner glitching then save a stack of such loot and dupe that. Also an easier way to dupe with Refiner, do not need to pick the first up or place the second exact on the same spot. All 3 slots are duped; in, out, fuel (carbon). Refine so get max nanites or whatever. The important thing before placing down a Refiner inside the first one, is to take out and put in whatever (from/to cargo). You can place the second a bit to the side or in a small angle, as long as the middle part of the Refiner is partially inside the first. Can keep placing more on the same spot as the second. Then point at the tip or end of the Refiners (so outside the first Refiner) and hold pick up. Then in a few seconds you have picked up all but the first. Then can keep repeating, take out from in slot and put in whatever, slap down Refiners to be picked up.
    In a base then can have a Refiner with nanites in out, ready to be used for duping. Even have many Refiners with often used stuff in out, ready for duping. Be aware of that sometimes the dupe glitching can glitch, then try repopulate the in slot again from cargo.

      So cool! Thanks for the details. Always wondered.

      @@ElanPaul YW, yeah I discovered the glitch myself very early on by accident when started to use Refiners as extra storage and they glitched inside each other to save space. Tested out several variations of placements etc. The reason for not being fixed I suspect is that some peoples bother play more since can skip some (for me) boring grinding. I would probably not have had around 350 hours without the option.

    Nice idea,I'll use this along with my string of runaway mold farms that i warp to and from.
    This will break up the monotony of farming mold. Thx

    There's no need for this. Get the Minotaur exocraft. Upgrade the shit out of the main cannon and install the Radar Array. Also get the exocraft summoning station, because it's portable and allows you to plump it down on any planet, summon your exocraft and then quickly pick it back up. Enter your Minotaur, use the X menu Radar option to search for a Resource Depot. Hop out, fly your ship there, land, hop in your Minotaur and grind Sentinels. Bunnyhop to safety once you had enough.

      You know, I might try that. Been wanting to experiment with the Minotaur for a while now. Thanks for the comment!

      @@ElanPaul I don't know about other exocrafts but the Minotaur is crazy OP. You can take on the entire sentinel horde with it. Even defeat the final boss walker with no problem. It's slow moving, but that jetpack is insane. Insta-filling once you touch ground, and it jumps hundreds of units of distance meaning you can end the fight at the push of a button.

    after you process resource into nanites move nanites into input tray without leaving then exit and begin duplication by adding more portable processors

    So much work creating that arena. like you said, the arena should be in the ground or better yet, find a natural indentation/pit like landscape. Thank you for the idea. "Cool farm"

    Instead of excavating to make an underground arena, have you considered finding a pre-existing crater to build one in? Those should not have any terrain re-spawning issues.

    why not build at a sentinel pillar? then instant you spawn you will have enemies

    • @ElanPaul
      @ElanPaul  10 месяцев назад

      Actually, when on Agressive planets, those as well as the depots/factories that are protected, they will NOT attack on sight. You have to be discovered by a roaming Sentinel or pick up a gravitino ball. Believe it or not. I have tested that.

      I agree, stick to the curious! Something is missing in this video, how in hell can you construct an arena on an aggressive sentinel planet without detection? Far more of interest to other players I should of thought.

    • @ElanPaul
      @ElanPaul  11 месяцев назад +1

      @michaelwilliams3232 Actually, I have two farms here. My original I used to do my video from last year. Very simple farm. Once defeated, the Sentinels are "turned off" for a few hours. I used that time to create this farm designed by an idea from another subscriber. I forget that not all of you were subscribed back then. I am also still learning. 😁

    In general, no man's sky is a technological journey, when you do all these things have no meaning.. Most of the things you make are pretty to the eye, they have no use.
