@26:40 On two new playthroughs I started this week, the Awakenings quest no longer directed me to an abandoned building, but instead to an NPC at a trading post named "Mouth of the Anomaly" to get the antimatter blueprint, then the quest wanted me to warp one more time (to my third system) to visit the monolith.

Just finished my first run at this expedition. At first I was rushing everything because of how intense the last expedition was. Then I relaxed and just enjoyed myself. What a pleasure this fishing expedition was and I am either going to replay it or go back to some of the water planets I missed and fish some more.

I've done the expedition twice now. First run was about 7 hours....second run was about 2.5. I am really enjoying this one.

Is the abandoned universe only for the expedition!?? I only just found out about this today 😭

So now that weird part of my brain that looks for connections between unconnected things is making me wonder about an association between Nada and Null. Their names have similar meanings, but they couldn't be more different. Nada seeks shelter from the 'crimson liar' while Null wants it's attention. Could Nada be an 'early' iteration of the Korvax? Do I need to have another cup of tea and an oreo and stop being obsessive? 🤔

Even as an experienced player, I'm always up for absorbing new information, thanks. For less experienced players going through this excellent series, one thing that EP forgot to mention about the anomaly (which as an early game player is particularly useful) is that there is also an exosuit slot expansion terminal behind Selene where you can increase available slots in your exosuit (either your cargo area or your technology area - you can switch between the two areas by clicking on a slot in the opposing location). This terminal (much like a drop pod or the space station exosuit expansion terminal) can only be used once - PER SYSTEM, so if you warp to a new system and call in the anomaly again you will be able to pay for another new slot expansion.

Greetings and Salutations my friend! I had a good chuckle at being mentioned. I wanted to add that the anomaly portal as well as getting access to other galaxies can be helpful for new players to get to systems of other colors (red greed etc) before they have the drives for them.

Another thing I thought of is *Boeing Expedition* strand yourself at a space station, you can't use the portal, you can't call Elon Musk. Can you get off the space station without killing yourself? (your character: censor help)

So out of all the time I've watch you play NMS, I never seen you use the *Solar Ray Gun* you know for harvesting Liquid Sun. This is later game mechanics that is off the beaten path to put it mildly. I've never seen anyone else talk about this *solar ray gun* either. So I don't know if this was secretly a part of worlds 1 up date or??? It's a part of the mega fauna story line "star birth". This game is nuts.

Thanks SO much EP - I've played this game since Day 1 in 2016 and yet you've shown me so much I could do that I have never realised before...e.g. collecting Buried Tech through the ground without even digging! Most definitely subbed! My NMS playthroughs are gonna reach a whole new level of Quality of Life! (PS I found you via @Jason Plays and @DeltaOne246' comments!)

Does anyone else have issues where on certain planets the fauna color glitches out/flicker or look like it drags across the screen and stuff not rendering until I already past it or is all that just my experience? I currently game on Xbox series s bc I can’t get the X or pc. Is that only my system affected like that or does that go for all?

I've just conducted a test - if you take a few seconds at the start to analyse a few items (trees, carbon plant and ferrite) that have both a primary AND secondary item, the Fat of the Land milestone counts at twice the speed - overall you can save some time (and gather some additional resources too).

You doing this expedition in your sleep? Lol.

Are the minotaur parts just cosmetic, or do they have actual effects in-game?

Great job! Without some other radical strategy that's not yet known I only see a possible minute or so improvement, well, ignoring some of the bad RNG. There were a few times where you could have optimize how you did your inventory movement, so instead of doing that before shooting the sentinel when going for the walkers you do it after the first round when you're waiting for them to find you again. Also not sure why you jetpacked a few times while trying to get the running in the storm, not a lot of time doing it but seconds in there that could be saved, that whole thing takes around 3+ minutes and do wonder if there's a way to walk/sprint it faster. Maybe that's why you used the jetpack, it gives you a sprint boost as well? Is there an item that increases sprint speed? Oh, I suppose there was as I think you consumed an item in the last bit but not sure if that's why you did it. I also wonder if you might be able to get the 4th walker quicker somehow with the gravitino ball around that walker. Not sure if it's possible to get two to show up by picking it up before, or maybe getting to a higher level after you get the 3rd walker. No idea as I'm not sure what happens in cases where you've already agro'd or before you hit that 3rd walker.
