    Thanks man.
Most of us just want iPad because we want to write the notes on a screen and go paperless, but we can do it on a notebook too. But for programming, Laptop(Macbook) can't be replaced

Cybersecurity expert currently in school for software engineering here, I code on my iPad Air 5th gen. It’s fantastic 👌🏻 y’all can use anything that connects to the internet. Think of browser and cloud based IDEs. Think outside the box.

@@saadhussaini4303 I wouldn't recommend using an iPad only in IT.
If you think you'll leave it plugged most of the time : the Mac mini is awesome and you could remotely use it as I do with an iPad. Best of both worlds.
If you need it at school, you know you'll need power even outside of the office: go with a MacBook, you won''t regret it.

Man I was thinking of switching to only iPad mode. Was gonna sell laptop. ThenI saw your speed test. You’re totally right. Day to day speed is a big deal (over time). Thanks amigo. Salam yo.

Actually an ipad and macbook shouldn't be compared because both made for different purposes like in case of note taking and general day tasks, nothing is better than ipad cause it's super handy . And in case of professional works, Macbook/mac is the best option. So each individual should think what's there's objective before buying one. Especially for cs major, I think everyone should buy a macbook first. If money is not a factor then should go for an ipad.

Bullshit. If that’s the case, why offering a pro model if it’s supposed to be just for note taking

I'm starting my CS major this fall. I have a powerful gaming desktop that I was planning on using for the heavy stuff like programming, and I want to get an iPad to take to lectures, etc, but I'm afraid there's other stuff I won't be able to do on the iPad since my PC is stuck in my dorm. Would you recommend getting a laptop instead of the iPad, or would a Desktop + iPad combo work well?

    • @AmanManazir

I’d say desktop + iPad would probably be fine, unless you like to study in a bunch of different places/around campus

There are many videos on RUclips about you can code on a iPad....I have to learn coding ( not that professional work bt in some projects u know what kinds of projects people do while learning code). In this time M1 MacBook price is so high.....That's why I'm asking you that can I really code on iPad...have u ever tried?
I also want to learn Editing...

you can use it as a remote terminal device and connect the ipad to your main desktop/laptop computer online.

Hopefully they release a macOS iPad now that the pros are using the same chips, until then I’m gonna be getting the Surface Pro 9 as it gives me the best of both worlds

Well we know how powerful macOS is alone and that an iPad internals wont be able to handle. Its just complementary to get an any iPad with apple pencil 2 as a purchase for goodnotes/entertainment factor than a one stop shop for all😢

    • @SteveRayDarrell
      @SteveRayDarrell 10 месяцев назад

It's not due to hardware limitations, as the guy said, ipads literally have the same chips as the MacBook. They won't do it because they have to keep you in need of buying both an ipad and a MacBook. Ipads could do much more. There's really no reason why they shouldn't have a terminal or run macos apps. They are artificially castrated to keep you buying. And unfortunately they can afford to do so because there's not much competition from the android world. Yes, some Android tablets have amazing hardware, but they are even more limited than ipads when it comes to apps. It's a shame because for some people (students for instance) a capable tablet would be much better than a laptop

    • @seattledude2022

@@saadhussaini4303 I think you mean CS major. No. Students are trained for jobs. In jobs, we use IDEs, terminals, many other stuffs even for local development that are not available on ipad. Ipad cannot even run ubuntu vm well (there is a solution, super slow). So no ipad for CS training. But if you want to use if for personal notes, sure that's ok

@@saadhussaini4303 If you are saying you can use ipad to remote desktop or ssh something, that' does not count. Not fair to compare that way.
