I definitely echo wanting both Condemned games in VR. That bear chase will be something else and getting up close and personal to enemies and visceral combat would be great in VR. Personally I feel the same with Wipeout as you do with Subnautica, I can't go back to playing Wipeout flat on my PS5, it has to be VR.

I was nervous you weren't going to say Alien: Isolation. I was relieved at the end, lol. The part where you are playing as the other character in the flashback and get to explore the ship was un-believable in VR. Visually the most jaw-dropping VR experience I've had so far. Even if it is an 8 year old game.
Man, really thank you for showing us EmuVR, it's amazing. I've just seen that you can even play online with many people on the same room playing split screen. Amazing
Am I missing something? Subnautica's VR Support is not a MOD as far as I know. If you said Subnautica Below Zero then it would have made sense to me, but the footage was also from Subnautica. I know the enhancements MOD for the original VR mode but it's not really clear that's whats meant here.
I respect that these tiers are based on your opinion, and how you felt about the experience, but I think the "Nearly perfect" and "feels nearly native" is a bit misleading when games that don't have full motion control (like Alien and Subnautica) are put in the god tier "feels nearly native" category, and games that have full motion control, and even a toolbelt (Deep Rock Galactic) aren't in that same category. Just feels really arbitrary, is all, and doesn't seem helpful for people determining what mods they should take the time to setup. I don't mean to be hyper critical
If you go to Flatscreen to VR Discord channel and ask nicely, you'll discover GTAV, RDR2 and Mafia VR mods didn't leave us. They're just in protective custody. Thanks Take Two. 🖕👍 Dead Space using Vorpx is on my list of faves. ♥️ Defs needs a native plugin. Hoping Luke Ross does a Stray VR mod. 😁

Id have put Valheim into Godtier for sure. For my GraCa (5700xt) its runs very good, so many bugs have been fixed so far. The switch from flat to VR was absolutely mindblowing.
I just bought VR, I thought I needed to buy new games, but it turns out I already have a bunch of games, all I have to do is set them up and I can play, thanks for this information
You really put Alien Isolation at the top and said "it felt native?!" IT DOESNT EVEN HAVE MOTION CONTROL SUPPORT. That slot's for half-life 2 VR, not some mod that doesn't even have full VR support yet.
This is my kind of video as I play LOADS of VR modded games and I cannot wait for HL2! I've been playing Alyx again to prepare myself and I forgot just how incredible it is. Maybe a live stream of Alyx is in order?! (Unless you did that before I subscribed to you)
My first thought "wait didn't i watch this the other day" no that was Mateo lol... i need to keep track of yall! VR mods are IT right now, they are THE thing to be into as a PC vr fan, if anyone on VR hasn't gotten that memo yet, WAKE YO ASS UP! I spent the past 3 days modding Left 4 Dead 2 in VR, that game has a workshop with over 170k mods... ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY THOUSAND... holy crap... Endless joy in VR, just endless. That's ONE game being modded today in VR. "Yeah we got sick of waiting on AAA devs and their tech demos" Some random modder Prolly...
I disagree about Horizon Zero Dawn. I replayed it in VR all the way through and it was fantastic. I do have a 12700 KF with a RTX 3080 though. I would recommend it to any fans of Horizon Zero dawn if your computer is fast enough to play it.
Ok, I admittedly skip RUclips videos that promote and sensationalize standalone VR. I believe it's currently a necessity for VR adoption but also single handedly destroyed most PCVR development. I've scrolled past a few of your videos before thinking they were Quest only content but you stopped me dead in my tracks with this one. Taking a look at some of your content diversity and my mistake of thinking you were just a Quest content provider had me instantly subscribe. I will be watching more of your stuff with anticipated thumbs. Kudos to your channel!
Great video. I hope it helps get these mods out there more. Of course I would have put Half-Life 2 VR Mod at top (even though I have never played this version), since I remember playing a version with some weird Hydro controllers on my DK2 (but it was awesome).
The mods for VR are in my opinion the best thing that could happen. Why the industry doesn't support that (only allows it - with exceptions) is a mystery to me. They could sell more games if they added the mod with the game. In this way you could choose to play flatscreen or VR. Since VR I don't enjoy playing games on a flatscreen anymore... they look..... flat to me. Anyway thanks for your video... loved the presentation.
subnautica BZ is my favorite vr mod and vr game any time is play it i am still overwhelmed how immersive it is. i just hope the next subnautica game has vr on release.
Great Video, and with thought and shown bias where applicable. Thanks for taking the time to not only put this together, but to find, instal and play through these to be able to rate them for us!
What a great video. The only one I haven't played is Alien Isolation.. always avoided it because I already found it unnerving in 2d. But.. time to check it out :)
I appreciate this is 2 years old. But wondered if you know if EmuVR works with PSVR2 on PC? Does it use SteamVR? Thank you so much for the video btw. Even now it's really good and a lot of it still holds true
Classic games + VR Mods is a match made in heaven. Let's get some Max Payne 1 & 2, Second Sight, Perfect Dark, Prince of Persia (Sands of time falling and rewinding in VR? oh yes) Or how about some good old racing games? Need for Speed Underground 2, Burnout 3, and oh yes, Rush 2. Maybe some flight stuff? Rogue Squadron, Crimson Skies, Ace Combat? More horror you say? The Suffering, Silent Hill NUMBER ONE, or maybe stuff like Echo Night? That was a cool series that would work well. Platformers would be interesting, you can't tell me you wouldn't want to play through Banjo Kazooie's halloween level or jump through a painting in SM64
I'd like to see a Vorpx video. Games that are not "VR mods" can still be played in 3d flatish screen. And I'd like to see some reviews on that.... Nevermind, there was a vorpx section.
Also enjoying Alien Isolation greatly, although I'm not sure that it'd take my #1 slot. #1 for me used to be hands down Doom3Quest, but Quake3Quest has to be a contender now. I would definitely have relevant wabbajack mods for Skyrim VR and fallout4 VR on my list ... why? because the mods add *SO MUCH* to vanilla, particularly in the case of Fallout 4 VR, which was apparently so poor a port that I basically went straight for modding without even trying the unmodded version, that they should be considered VR mods. Perhaps worthy of a video on their own? Which wabbajack mod lists are best for a variety of games, particularly those two, and how to set up?
Personally I would move Valheim to god-tier. It has motion controls! It runs well and improves the experience in every level. The menus are a bit clunky but a cheap price to pay for the overall improvement.
The best of my recent experience is a Return to Rapture. It is made on the engine of HL ALYX, but it brings you to the world of Bioshock. It is gorgeous. However, it has it is unique story which is a combination of ALYX and Bioshock, so maybe it is not right to list it in this video. Nevertheless, who did not tried, I recommend.

Bro nah to say it confused the hell out of me seeing clips from my Valheim VR video on here would be a giant understatement lmao what are the chances. Great video mate! I'm definitely going to have to check some of these mods out!
What a fantastic video. Would LOVE to see an update a year later. Cheers.
Star Wars Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast VR is a fantastic mod as well. It feels great wielding a lightsaber as Kyle Katarn in VR.
I definitely echo wanting both Condemned games in VR. That bear chase will be something else and getting up close and personal to enemies and visceral combat would be great in VR. Personally I feel the same with Wipeout as you do with Subnautica, I can't go back to playing Wipeout flat on my PS5, it has to be VR.
oh yeah, skyrim vr technically ISN'T a mod...
but if you don't mod it you're missing out on 80% of the experience. plank changes everything
Nice seeing your choices. RIP to the VR mods that we lost🙁
I had more than half of those games on my to-do list and had paid for the luke ross mods. :(
although you do need to revert the game back to the second most recent version
These mods are no longer accessible? Do you know why?
@@jerichojericho9860 looks like my first reply was erased or something but every rockstar game mod was removed except for gta v which can still be found on luke's github. Take 2 the owners of rockstar were just butthurt at luke ross once they found out about him making a decent living off of their games through patreon
@@VitrescentObelisk thank you for clearing that up. It's because of VR modders that I buy multiple copies of games. You'd think they'd know that people like him increase their sales and reach. What out of touch idiots.
Got Risk of Rain after seeing this video & I’m enjoying it. Thanks for the knowledge.
I wish Luke Ross or Praydog would make a VR mod for Dying Light.🤞
He's making one for Dead Island 2
I was nervous you weren't going to say Alien: Isolation. I was relieved at the end, lol.
The part where you are playing as the other character in the flashback and get to explore the ship was un-believable in VR. Visually the most jaw-dropping VR experience I've had so far. Even if it is an 8 year old game.
There is a subnuatica mod that gives soemwhat motion controls called submersedVr i think
Man, really thank you for showing us EmuVR, it's amazing. I've just seen that you can even play online with many people on the same room playing split screen. Amazing
So glad Alien Isolation was number 1... Still haven't managed to get through this in VR yet... Just too scary and it makes me sweat in fear... So good
I tried last night. And let me tell you. Runs flawless, and it s a beauty 😍! Best 1st person VR experience so far.
Playing Fallout New Vegas with VORPX has worked very well for me, one of the best VR experiences I've had
Dead Space using Vorpx is on my list of faves. ♥️ Defs needs a native plugin.
Hoping Luke Ross does a Stray VR mod. 😁
he was working on Bioshock VR when the takedown notice happened. I was REALLY looking forward to that
Shhhh
@@madiimad meh. It's not illegal to share it since Take Two aren't a government and it's not intellectual property.
Subnautica has a mod called submersed that gives it full motion controls.
Awesome video man!!
Thank you bud 😁
Looks like subnautica VR DOES have motion controls now.
Get out of my RUclips search history, Beardo. I was *just* looking into this and you’re freakin me out dropping this video now - which was very informative and great btw, thanks! 🤙
My best friend passed away in 2022 so the in memoriam section caught me off guard. She loved playing VR Games.
Luckily you can still download and play gta 5 vr mod since it’s not monetized like the other ones
You really put Alien Isolation at the top and said "it felt native?!" IT DOESNT EVEN HAVE MOTION CONTROL SUPPORT. That slot's for half-life 2 VR, not some mod that doesn't even have full VR support yet.
We need "Grounded" in VR. I can't wait to have a literal heart attack when a wolf spider sneaks up on me. The game gives me goosebumps every time
This is my kind of video as I play LOADS of VR modded games and I cannot wait for HL2! I've been playing Alyx again to prepare myself and I forgot just how incredible it is. Maybe a live stream of Alyx is in order?! (Unless you did that before I subscribed to you)
So heart broken I never got to experience GTA5 and RDR2 in VR. Darn you Rockstar!
Hey Beardo!
Ross just dropped the VR mod for Ghostwire Tokyo!
"Yeah we got sick of waiting on AAA devs and their tech demos" Some random modder
Prolly...
Take a drink every time you hear "however". Good video dude not throwing shade 🤞
Modders saved VR in 2022...
I disagree about Horizon Zero Dawn. I replayed it in VR all the way through and it was fantastic. I do have a 12700 KF with a RTX 3080 though. I would recommend it to any fans of Horizon Zero dawn if your computer is fast enough to play it.
I’m playing it and it’s simply amazing. I dropped forbidden west to play this too and I feel I’m Aloy!
Most generic open world game
Very enjoyable, thanks!
so true, at the moment i play alien isolation in vr and it is so scary
Cracking round up. Cracking video.
Great video man. A few mods there i wasnt even aware of!
Of course I would have put Half-Life 2 VR Mod at top (even though I have never played this version), since I remember playing a version with some weird Hydro controllers on my DK2 (but it was awesome).
the coolest thing is that the god tier games are mostly Dr. Beef mods that can be installed locally on Quest 2, no gaming PC required :)
This!
subnautica BZ is my favorite vr mod and vr game any time is play it i am still overwhelmed how immersive it is. i just hope the next subnautica game has vr on release.
Great Video, and with thought and shown bias where applicable. Thanks for taking the time to not only put this together, but to find, instal and play through these to be able to rate them for us!
Doom 3 in VR... dear lord that game is scary enough 2D
This is a GREAT list, thank you for putting this together!
You know REVR is heavy when the guy with a 4090 downloads an fsr mod
Picked up Wolfenstein 2 on sale last week. Can't wait to try it in VR.
It’s amazing and also pretty hard.. the first cutscene u got is pretty gruesome too ..
What a great video. The only one I haven't played is Alien Isolation.. always avoided it because I already found it unnerving in 2d. But.. time to check it out :)
Very nice of you to point out the value of differing opinions. If we were all the same there is really nothing to share
So bioshock in Vorpex DOESNT work anymore??:/
VorpX support for GTAV and RDR2 is gone now too. The games just don't launch :(
Fantastic list! Really looking forward to Half-Life 2
I appreciate this is 2 years old. But wondered if you know if EmuVR works with PSVR2 on PC? Does it use SteamVR? Thank you so much for the video btw. Even now it's really good and a lot of it still holds true
Classic games + VR Mods is a match made in heaven.
Let's get some Max Payne 1 & 2, Second Sight, Perfect Dark, Prince of Persia (Sands of time falling and rewinding in VR? oh yes)
Or how about some good old racing games? Need for Speed Underground 2, Burnout 3, and oh yes, Rush 2.
Maybe some flight stuff? Rogue Squadron, Crimson Skies, Ace Combat?
More horror you say? The Suffering, Silent Hill NUMBER ONE, or maybe stuff like Echo Night? That was a cool series that would work well.
Platformers would be interesting, you can't tell me you wouldn't want to play through Banjo Kazooie's halloween level or jump through a painting in SM64
I had no idea there was Morrowind VR with motion control, wow!
Quality video man, so much here to dig into. Thanks very much
i run a vr mod youtube comedy channel. so thank you for your insight. this was awesome to watch
I'd like to see a Vorpx video. Games that are not "VR mods" can still be played in 3d flatish screen. And I'd like to see some reviews on that.... Nevermind, there was a vorpx section.
NB: Subnautica in VR is incredible, but it is not really a mod since the game itself allows you to play either flat screen or in VR mode.
I’m looking for a hand mod in containment initiative recon
You my friend are God Tier in the world of VR RUclips videos :D Thank you for this!!
Subnautica has native vr support on steam with motion controller support.
