PCVR and there are Oculus exclusives...
And you missed some great games like:
    - VTOL VR (flight games)
    - Into the Radius (FPS shooters)
    - Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, which are a separate game genre
    - Blacktop Hoops (sports games)
    - BoomBox (rythm games)
    - Ragnarock (rythm games)
    - Cook-Out (coop cooking game)
    - cyubeVR (minecraft like builder)
    - Down the Rabbit Hole (adventure/puzzle game with side view)
    - Eleven Table Tennis (sports game)
    - Eye of the Temple (you move only in roomscale - it's like Indiana Jones game)
    - I Fetch Rocks (flying space ship and upgrading it's components by manually making circuits from electronic parts)
    - MOTHERGUNSHIP: FORGE (roguelike fps shooter with coop)
    - PowerBeatsVR (rythm game)
    - Racket: Nx (sports game)
    - Rags to Dishes (cooking game)
    - AMID Evil VR (retro fps shooter)
There's more great VR mods, but you make separate videos for these (Risk of Rain 2, 7 Days to Die, Valheim, Deep Rock Galactic, Overwatch, Outer Wilds, Metal: Hellsinger, Far Cry, Crysis, Half-Life 1, Half-Life 2, etc.)

The ultimate shareable video when people say "there are no good VR games" :) And thanks b.t.w. this will definitely come in handy once I run out of things to play. But the thing is. I have so much to play that I can entertain myself for what feels like years to come! :)
This is my list of actively played VR Games:
    - Half Life Alyx (+ mods, can't get enough of this one)
    - Half-Life 2 + episodes (mod)
    - Skyrim (+ mods)
    - Subnautica (+ mods)
    - Amid Evil
    - Assetto Corsa
    - Beat Saber
    - Budget Cuts (soon completed)
    - Doom VFR (soon completed)
I have finished a few (like Moss, Vertigo, HL:A, Vanishing of Ethan Carter etc.) and I have over 700hours in VR. However these are the games I have in my library which I haven't started playing properly yet:
    - Alien Isolation (motherVR mod)
    - Budget Cuts 2
    - Hellblade
    - Mask Maker
    - Pistol Whip
    - Psychonauts
    - Serious Sam (all of them)
    - Star Wars Squadrons
    - Stride
    - Talos Principle
    - Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners
    - Westwood Awakening

  • @dolorian_dollar

    I would add:
    - Into the Radius. It has the best backpack and loot management system in VR. Great atmosphere and locations.
-Moonrider. Basically it's a free Beat Saber clone with lot's of popular music. Punch mode is really nice.
-Resident Evil 4 VR. Big game, you can easily sink 30 -40 hours playing it. It has done a very good job implementing vr controls and everything is very intuitive and enjoyable to play.
-Zero Caliber. Now I know that some would disagree, but the game has a variety of guns to choose from and the controls are pretty good. Veteran difficulty can be challenging in co-op, but I like it when you get pinned by the enemy and shoot blindly hoping to clear the path fpr your team mates. I also like how casual it is, because it helps me to unwind after work.
    - Pokerstars VR and Forepool VR. One of the few games of that sort that translate very well into the VR world.

      @davidchandler5432 Год назад

@@virtualinsider No worries of course! It's changed a lot if you last played it years ago; it had a big overhaul the other year and lots of the jank got removed (the one single large open map got turned into 5 smaller maps, and lots of QOL and AI improvements).
But if you played it recently and it didn't do much for you, then trying it again now won't likely change anything. One main negative are the enemies not seeming like anything special, but the enemy AI is pretty good at least. And I'd love if it had human NPCs to deal with.
Maybe you'll like the sequel, they're working on it now and it'll apparently have co-op (I'm ambivalent about co-op but Into the Radius players have been clambering for it since the beginning).

I would include my favorite VR game of all the time - Paper Beast. The wordless narrative, physics-based animations and real-like AI given me the incredible amount of immersion - the most important thing in VR games.
The second I would include is #4 fav - Form. It's short but incredibly beautifull. And other games of my favlist i don't notice in yours:
#11 - the wizards 1&2. Making spells with your own hands is a greate use of VR
    #12 Budget cuts 2
#14 RE4 - basically, the best Q2 game. But I would reccomend try PC remaster with VR mod instead, althrough I didn't tryed myself
#16 Stride - arcady Mirrors Edge in VR
#17 Yupitergrad - After you played Windlands and want something simmilar
#20 To The Top - Nice runner-like genre game with game-breaking solution - if player's head occurs in the object, instead of pushing him or something, game just kills you. The reason of I'm stop playing it and don't want to come back. But it's still a nice experience
    #24 Jurrastic World: Aftermath
#25 Star Wars: Tales From the Galaxy's Edge
    #29 Sprint Vector

    Adventure:
    -----------------

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter --- beautiful experience in VR, though with simple controls
Obduction --- quite decent Myst-type game
Psychonauts in the Rombus of Ruin --- cute little experience if you're into the Psychonauts games
    Driving sims:

Man this video really reminds me of how indie devs are carrying VR. Almost all the games on the list are either indie or AA. And those are usually the good ones and the AAA suck lol. Looking forward to good AAA VR games in the future.

    • @GreyMatterShades
      @GreyMatterShades Год назад +1

Yeah unfortunately the VR market just isn't big enough for large publishers to make triple-A games for it. Pretty much the only triple-A games are either made by platform holders (Meta, Sony, Valve that one time), or are ports of older games to VR (and sometimes financed by those platform holders), or mods.
Hopefully soon VR will get big enough, or the VR porting process will become easy enough, that we'll see more good triple-A games come out for it.

You've missed arguably the best VR Flight game, VTOL VR. It was built from the ground up to be a VR Only Flight Sim. It has 5 Aircraft, all of which serve a different role. A 4th Gen Fighter, a 5th Gen Stealth Fighter, an Attack Helicopter, a Transport / Attack VTOL Aircraft, and a 2 seater 4th gen fighter.
Controls feel great and natural, much better than Warplanes. The warplanes controls feel really bad and unnatural compared to VTOL.

There's so many quality games on flat screen that you could go bargain diving for years, never play a game at release ever again, and still never run out of quality content.

    BeamNG
    Microsoft Flight Simulator
    Eleven Table Tennis
Your video is about VR and VR supported games but there are some great mods that are easy to install
Portal 2 - surprisingly good and proves the naysayers who that thought you would get motion sick wrong
Half Life 2 - my least favorite sections in flatscreen were my favorite in VR. The car sections are loads of fun now that you can look around and shoot and drive naturally, Ravenholm is a blast now that you can move the gravity gun freely without snagging on walls
American Truck Simulator - fun but the VR mod breaks every time they update the game
Outer Wilds - unique compared to any other game out there

Some of those PC Oculus exclusives before Asgard's Wrath I missed. Admittedly some of the older games without smooth locomotion and with more than the current norm for VR jank tend not to hold my interest (which rules out Artika.1, RoboRecall and Wilson's Heart). Edge of Nowhere and From Other Suns look worth a gander. In terms of boomer shooters like Compound, I think Serious Sam 3 VR should still be on the list.

    • @pettytyrant2720
      @pettytyrant2720 Год назад +1

Robo Recall is really easy to mod (its main menu has a mod tab) and there is a smooth locomotion mod available. It's not a long game but you'll replay levels either to just better your previous score or for the sheer fun of trying all the different combinations of ways to kill robots. Its super fun and has a great arcadey feel in its scoring system and keeps its tongue firmly in its cheek making it a lot of fun. The shooting mechanics are simple (don't expect realistic weapon reloading ) but super solid and feel right. I'd certainly recommend it.
