Man this video really reminds me of how indie devs are carrying VR. Almost all the games on the list are either indie or AA. And those are usually the good ones and the AAA suck lol. Looking forward to good AAA VR games in the future.
Yeah unfortunately the VR market just isn't big enough for large publishers to make triple-A games for it. Pretty much the only triple-A games are either made by platform holders (Meta, Sony, Valve that one time), or are ports of older games to VR (and sometimes financed by those platform holders), or mods. Hopefully soon VR will get big enough, or the VR porting process will become easy enough, that we'll see more good triple-A games come out for it.
Thank you for taking the time and incredible effort to make a video like that. I really appreciate it and I hope you keep going man. I watch nearly everyone of your videos. Thank you for creating them!
You've missed arguably the best VR Flight game, VTOL VR. It was built from the ground up to be a VR Only Flight Sim. It has 5 Aircraft, all of which serve a different role. A 4th Gen Fighter, a 5th Gen Stealth Fighter, an Attack Helicopter, a Transport / Attack VTOL Aircraft, and a 2 seater 4th gen fighter. Controls feel great and natural, much better than Warplanes. The warplanes controls feel really bad and unnatural compared to VTOL.
Medal of honor could have been an absolute classic, its just a few of the characters and the slight jankiness that lets it down. It would have been better if it'd kept things serious and not invited characters that really didn't have any place in a war zone
3:19 Actually, there's a mod for smooth locomotion. Althrough, I haven't tryed it - the game has already tired me by the time I realize that it have mods
Appreciate this upload, got a bunch of games I'll be trying shortly. Had the OC2 for a year and have yet to use it on the computer, from the looks of some of these games going open up a whole new world of possibilities.
@@HybridEnergy I don't know where you are that people are mentioning GTA5. I think its the exact opposite. Not entirely sure how you'd come to the conclusion that flat gaming is anywhere near as restricting in terms of choice
@@shadowfreaper8158 If your having a hard time finding quality games its because your looking in the wrong places. Especially if your on PC. I mean even now in the near future we have: Baulders Gate 3, Armored Core, Starfield next month, Sea of Stars, Blasphemy 2... There's so many quality games on flat screen that you could go bargain diving for years, never play a game at release ever again, and still never run out of quality content. I love VR just as much as the next guy but come on... really?
I'll add BeamNG Microsoft Flight Simulator Eleven Table Tennis Your video is about VR and VR supported games but there are some great mods that are easy to install Portal 2 - surprisingly good and proves the naysayers who that thought you would get motion sick wrong Half Life 2 - my least favorite sections in flatscreen were my favorite in VR. The car sections are loads of fun now that you can look around and shoot and drive naturally, Ravenholm is a blast now that you can move the gravity gun freely without snagging on walls American Truck Simulator - fun but the VR mod breaks every time they update the game Outer Wilds - unique compared to any other game out there
Some of those PC Oculus exclusives before Asgard's Wrath I missed. Admittedly some of the older games without smooth locomotion and with more than the current norm for VR jank tend not to hold my interest (which rules out Artika.1, RoboRecall and Wilson's Heart). Edge of Nowhere and From Other Suns look worth a gander. In terms of boomer shooters like Compound, I think Serious Sam 3 VR should still be on the list.
Robo Recall is really easy to mod (its main menu has a mod tab) and there is a smooth locomotion mod available. It's not a long game but you'll replay levels either to just better your previous score or for the sheer fun of trying all the different combinations of ways to kill robots. Its super fun and has a great arcadey feel in its scoring system and keeps its tongue firmly in its cheek making it a lot of fun. The shooting mechanics are simple (don't expect realistic weapon reloading ) but super solid and feel right. I'd certainly recommend it.
What is the sense of scale in Vox Machinae? Does it really feel like you're sitting in a giant mech? I could imagine that the sense of mass is hard to convey.
i love vr gaming but i think it speaks levels when theres always "best vr games ever" videos every few weeks being released and most of them are just the same games from "best vr games ever" videos from 5 years ago
There are plenty more other PCVR games with excellent graphics and puzzles, shorter or longer, not including VR mods with full 6DOF controllers. So this list is just a portion of what Steam and Meta VR have to offer.
I definitely would add Amid Evil VR into that list. I think some VR mods like HL2VR, Valheim VR, KSP VR, and Deep Rock Galactic VR deserve to be on this list as well, since these mods are even better than some native VR games. Otherwise a very solid list, thank you for compiling it. There's a bunch of games I haven't even heard of on it.
I've played a lot of VR games and owned quite a few headsets. Nothing has came close to the experiences ive had in iRacing. It's PC only and you really need a wheel and pedals, but where else can you bump into some of the best racing drivers in the world? I was on a virtual track with Max Verstappen a few months ago. GT7 might be fun, but it's not a real sim.
I just got into VR with the Metaquest 3. I kept hearing people "you need to get your VR legs". Yeah yeah. After only 2 hours of messing around with games that have barely any motion. I set up my sim racing rig for some Dirt Rally 2.0. After about 5 minutes of Group B racing I had to go puke. lol 10/10 will surely puke again.
Its a crime that VTOL VR was not under Flight Games, much better than warplanes and any other fully native VR flight sims

On PC, that's really just the start, He also made a awesome video called "How modders are saving VR from dying", showcasing all the amazing mods out there. :)
16:00 im sad cause my VTOL VR wasn`t given some love 😢
absolutely best! good idea to split it in genres. thanks for video. getting my first vr ever for simracing as I bought my first PC. could not figure out if I need controllers, answer is - yesss I do!!
Into the radius???????????????????????????????? Best VR game that has ever been made! Or did I just miss it?
I am speechless as well, brother.
make a part 2 as well or just a bonus. you have got to mention crazy innovative gesture system games like wizards 2 and rumble. physically commanding magic and elements with your own body is just the most incredible thing anyone could ever experience
You killed me when you said that about Superhot VR haha.
This video is precisely what I was looking for, thank you
I will add some good VR games:
CONSORTIUM VR (space sci-fi, can use your voice in dialogs)
The Wizards and sequel The Wizards Dark times (fantasy obviously, cool spells :)
Colossal Cave (adventure, lots of treasures)
Firmament (from Cyan)
Republique VR (free on Steam! stealth, very good long story)
Winds & Leaves (must have if you love trees :)
Table of Tales: The Crooked Crown (like Demeo, very well crafted)
I didn't know Republique was free on Steam, thanks for the heads up! 👍
"fallout 4 vr is fallout 4 but vr, skyrim vr is skyrim in vr." Nah really? shit thats wild
And it runs like shit 🎉
Honestly should have included Vtol vr. Its been around for a while and its honestly the best flight game out on the market right now.
What about vtol vr for flight games?
My game pc with and AMD Ryzen7 56000x and a GeFroce RTX 3070 ti are coming this monday. Have had a Quest 2 for 3 years now. Cant wait to finally play some PCVR. Thanks for this list!!!!
Thanks a million, for your efforts.

no INTO THE RADIUS??????
Notably missing :
Into the Radius
SURV1V3
VTOL VR
Tactical Assault VR
Ultrawings 1 & 2
Job Simulator & Vacation Simulator
I agree with this person.
Don’t forget into the radius
I've played almost half of these games. Here are my favorites:
- Half-Life Alyx
- Medal Of Honor
- Lone Echo 1 & 2
- Fallout 4 VR
- Walking Dead Saints and Sinners 1 & 2
- Stormland
- Westworld Awakening
- Star Wars Squadrons
All have beautiful graphics and amazing solo campaigns.
you should try Into the Radius, if you haven't played it yet
No love for Paperbeast? It's short but has some astounding physics interaction for a vr game and is also full of wonder.
I really enjoyed Paperbeast. I played on PSVR where it was limited to teleportation only (not sure if this is the case on PC), but the world was breathtaking and unique, and the creatures had some authentic feeling animal behaviour. It even got surprisingly emotional at times for me. Definitely underrated imo.
@@GreyMatterShades You described everything I love about this title, way better than I can!
PC version has smooth locomotion.
@@TheEnfo Damn, I'm jealous. I might have to play it on PC at some point. It was an awesome experience even with the mandatory teleportation, but it definitely limited my immersion a bit.
this is how you do a top 100. thank you for not wasting my time. bought 5 games. best one so far is "No Man's Sky". something to do besides BG3. not much longer for Hellsweeper.
No into the radius?!?!?!

You missed Into The Radius!
Wow! Super video, will save us tons of time wasted trying games, great job !!!
no into the radius??
Gaming in VR is the best experience yet
YOU CAN PICK UP BUMS??? Nice!!!
Walkabout Mini Golf is REALLY good
ADVR aka Ancient Dungeons VR should be on the roguelike list. PCVR version has post processing effects that make it very atmospheric 👌🏻
you got me good with superhot vr lol
subscribed!
Thank you for taking the time and incredible effort to make a video like that.
I really appreciate it and I hope you keep going man.
I watch nearly everyone of your videos. Thank you for creating them!
Missed the best VR flying sim VTOL
My favorite hidden gems that I'd put in my top 10 without second thoughts:
Jet Island
Ancient Dungeon VR
Jet island is amazing
Cool video but what makes it cooler is that you used the ost from ghostrunner
You've missed arguably the best VR Flight game, VTOL VR. It was built from the ground up to be a VR Only Flight Sim. It has 5 Aircraft, all of which serve a different role. A 4th Gen Fighter, a 5th Gen Stealth Fighter, an Attack Helicopter, a Transport / Attack VTOL Aircraft, and a 2 seater 4th gen fighter.
Controls feel great and natural, much better than Warplanes. The warplanes controls feel really bad and unnatural compared to VTOL.
VTOL VR, Vail, Rumble, and Half Life 2 really should've been on this list.
You forgot Derail Valley, fantastic game
Nice list. I would add also add defector.
cheers, i just added like 5ish new games to my wish list
The Utility Room should be on here and thats me being totally impartial and unbiased
Thanks, just bought hellblade for 5 euros and the room for 12 before my quest 3 even arrived
Talking about Vertigo 2 game difficulty... that boss in the church took me hours to beat on hard mode.
I struggled with that boss and the boat section the most.
Appreciate this upload, got a bunch of games I'll be trying shortly. Had the OC2 for a year and have yet to use it on the computer, from the looks of some of these games going open up a whole new world of possibilities.
I ll add some more sports games like:
-First person tennis simulator
-Eleven table tennis
-Blacktop Hoops
- NFL Pro era
Enjoy🎉
Will be useful when i get my quest 3 lol thank you for this video man
I missed Eye of the Temple. I enjoy being Indiana Jones a lot. One would need a play area to be able to walk around in though..
WHERE IS SURV1v3??? And tales of glory 1&2 please man these 3 games are CRIMINALLLY UNDERRATED
The sad part about VR is that the pool of quality games is so small that it always feels like the same games get brought up over and over again
It's no different in flat gaming, I'm gonna vomit if someone mentions GTA5 again.
@@HybridEnergy I don't know where you are that people are mentioning GTA5. I think its the exact opposite. Not entirely sure how you'd come to the conclusion that flat gaming is anywhere near as restricting in terms of choice
@@thacoolest13 oh yes it is only game people buy are remakes and releases new ip are hard to find
re releases
@@shadowfreaper8158 If your having a hard time finding quality games its because your looking in the wrong places. Especially if your on PC. I mean even now in the near future we have: Baulders Gate 3, Armored Core, Starfield next month, Sea of Stars, Blasphemy 2...
There's so many quality games on flat screen that you could go bargain diving for years, never play a game at release ever again, and still never run out of quality content.
I love VR just as much as the next guy but come on... really?
I'll add
BeamNG
Microsoft Flight Simulator
Eleven Table Tennis
Your video is about VR and VR supported games but there are some great mods that are easy to install
Portal 2 - surprisingly good and proves the naysayers who that thought you would get motion sick wrong
Half Life 2 - my least favorite sections in flatscreen were my favorite in VR. The car sections are loads of fun now that you can look around and shoot and drive naturally, Ravenholm is a blast now that you can move the gravity gun freely without snagging on walls
American Truck Simulator - fun but the VR mod breaks every time they update the game
Outer Wilds - unique compared to any other game out there
Great list. Gun Club VR is also worth a look.
I'm surprised there aren't more games like Vox Machinae where you control a machine actually using the controls in the cockpit
What is the sense of scale in Vox Machinae? Does it really feel like you're sitting in a giant mech? I could imagine that the sense of mass is hard to convey.
stride, ironman vr, farpoint, no mans sky and Hyperdash deserve a spot in my opinion. i would add poker vr but I guess you gotta love poker first...
No Mans SKy was in there, Farpoint is PSVR. Stride I like but waiting for the singleplayer campaign to release.
pretty shocked VTOL VR wasn't in the flying games section
The Forest is my all-time favorite VR Port
liked and shared, thanks for the info
Great list ✌
this guys fun to listen to
Two games i would add,
Tales of glory 2 and into the radius
Great vid
Rush VR is heavily underrated imo. Takes a while to get good at it, but there's a lot of fun to be had there.
i love vr gaming but i think it speaks levels when theres always "best vr games ever" videos every few weeks being released and most of them are just the same games from "best vr games ever" videos from 5 years ago
What is KSP VR?
Yes deep Rock galactic, outer wilds, alien isolation, and L4D2 are still some of the best things to do in VR
@@waderobinson9218 have you tried Neon White or Gunfire Reborn? These are top mods for me.
@@NPCMii no I haven't I'll check it out
@@NPCMiiKerbal Space Program
i will never forgive you for not mentioning inside the radius
this is a very good vid i fond alot of game that i have never seen before that i want to play
where do i get paradox of hope? i love metro and i have been craving something similar the last few months
GT7 might be fun, but it's not a real sim.
payday 2 is good in VR so much fun
until you fall could definitely benefit from juggle style combos 8:35
I just got into VR with the Metaquest 3. I kept hearing people "you need to get your VR legs". Yeah yeah. After only 2 hours of messing around with games that have barely any motion. I set up my sim racing rig for some Dirt Rally 2.0. After about 5 minutes of Group B racing I had to go puke. lol
10/10 will surely puke again.
Now we need a non-Unity VR games list
