Fun fact: The first brother's gift is likely based a German myth, where a boy raised by death had a special elixir to drive away death from certain people if he wished. The difference is that the elixir didn't run out, there was just a rule: If Death was at the head of the bed, then he could use the elixir, but if he was at the foot, then he was not: Death had already claimed the person.

What's most surprising about this SCP, is that the old man manage to infuriate *ALL* of the brothers. Meaning, he would also infuriate All Death, the first brother. And what's disturbing is that he doesn't just *kill* (Small Death). He doesn't just *destroy* (Great Death).
As far as I know, he literally just *deletes* things out off existence, from concepts to infinite beings. How in the hell you manage to piss off someone like *THAT* is beyond me.

Immortality isn't his folly. His folly was trying to humiliate the brothers, I mean why piss off such incredible powers? He even had the opportunity to bargain with them to return their treasures for their favour in the future but he took them anyway just to spite them.
Remember that eldritch horrors are people too so don't make enemies but friends next time you're drawn into some conflict beyond your comprehension in the future

the curse of this man isnt immortality, it was his own hubriss and want to humiliate the 3 deaths time and time again, he was an asshole to litteral gods, so now he will pay for that, the deaths litterally granted him a second chance at life, and he spat on it, demanding more, untill he even got the items of the deaths, even then, he kept riddiculing them, thats why he suffers now, he shouldnt have been an asshole to the deaths

Daym, this story is actually one of the best ones i have seen in SCP ....its nothing complicated, its just human greed and pride that eventually backfires and causes misfortune and literal death to everyone around that old man...really cool that the Death brothers were fair and admitted defeat when the guy won against them, offering him fair prizes...but he doomed himself...like daym

This is the saddest scp you have ever shown us, he was young and stupid when he challenged death. So he had to live forever killing everyone and destroying everything he sees
Yes, and the problem is even the brothers accepted their defeat and offered him life again. But he just had to be an asshole and continued mocking them, taking their most prized possessions, not even because he greatly desired them, but to simply piss the brothers off.

And he is seeking the last brother the wrong way. He wants to capture it to force them to free him from his curse, when all he should do was give back the first two brother’s prizes and humble himself towards the third, returning the sack and asking for forgiveness. The three death brothers are neutral entities, it is possible they would accept his apology and finally let him die.

I think I know why 1440 can’t find the third brother: the first two brothers only showed up to mock 1440 after the powers in the objects given by the first two brothers were used up. The third brother won’t show up until 1440 uses the bag for the last time. It might be that using the bag to hold one or both of the first two brothers might bring the third brother out of hiding.
Also, what would happen if 1440 came into contact with 053?

@Caiden Leonard technically just 2, the eldest brother (all-death) only appears when, well, ALL creation perish, including his two brothers as well, only he will remain in the end.

@@denominagainatedableus13ye5 tales regarding the brothers death are pretty uncommon, so i just tumble on a few. I recommend "Death and the doctors hub" comprised of 4 short stories, try and find some scarlet king related stuff as well, they sometimes drop hint of each other's existence.

Ah, yes. I remember meeting this guy. While I was contained in the facility he was at, I actually aged like a human. When the facility had enough problems for my cell to open and people having problems, I knew the gig was up and fled. The SCP foundation is not easy to escape from unless you are willing to merely wait until something opens up all the cells and escape then. Sometimes, you can just walk out.

@@3takoyakis the SCP's Storys from the Website are just written (mostly) so real that it can be perfectly made into a Animation or film. And Yes mostly the SCP'S are scary, but then comes a cake that duplicates, a Chair that teleports to you when you need a chair (not anymore) and a box where another world with dragons Out of Origami existed (neutralized). And then are the ones Like the M.S Wintersheimer, the SCP 055 Anti-Meme or the prototype wich are in a way really scary and very very serious written written. The SCP is so serious written and treated like If it we're real that you sometimes think it could be, and that is it what it makes scary (and the Animation + the voices that tell These stories Sometimes).

The Third Brother is tha most badass. He knows his item is the most powerful, but the man would still use it blindly. So he thought that never appearing would keep the old man searching for him, until forever.

It is quite sad, really. He was young, and full of pride. Even though that was not fully his fault, if he, didn't mock the brothers... he would probably just be safe for now. Immortality, is never a gift.

If he simply just, was nice with the brothers; simply just accepted his fate, and wouldn't go to the mortal world; if he didn't waste all of his prizes;

Honestly, I see this as an analogy: He left his heart open to anger and temptation that lead to the Brothers of Death or demons I might say, to forever torture him. You should never leave your heart open to anger and temptation, you will always lose if you give in to it. You can choose to conquer your demons, or let them conquer you. The choice is yours.
I watched every single video of yours, your video is story telling and choosing what to tell in the time you have it is getting much much better.

This story is similar to a old story from a old Jim henson show called "the story teller" its strange how im seeing a few of these old stories pop up again every now and then. Even one in the whicher.
