They remind me of two of Lovecraft's tales titled "The Lurking Fear" and "The Rats in the Walls", which concern inbreeding, family madness, and cannibalism.
Especially the mentioning of the heterochromia (each eye different color) just as in The Lurking Fear. I am pretty sure this is a reference to "The Lurking Fear".
Like most of Lovecraft?

In "The Rats In The Walls", an American rich guy travels to England to restore the castle of his ancestors not knowing about the abhorrent acts his ancestors commited concerning cannibalism and inbreeding and that the castle was in Roman times a temple dedicated to Cybele, a fertility goddess whose cult was persecuted during the Roman Empire, which involved in bloody sacrifices and self-harm. Also, the castle still preserves the bad energies that in the end turn the main character insane.
That’s certainly ONE way to pronounce sarcophagi.

You guys should actually check out the actual Habsburg’s history, there was a case I believe where an uncle married his niece. There is a bunch more cases you can and look into.

Indeed. It showcases what happens when mating with family members: you get something that is barely clinging to life or has frequent instances of "death" and activity.
I should add that it was Hapsburg that coined the "Hapsburg Lip" usually associated with inbreeding. I think it was either Leopold I or Hapsburg himself who "had a cleft chin, a heart the size of a peppercorn, a single testicle, and charcoal black lungs." This is mostly paraphrasing, mind you.
Side Note: Peppercorns are actually very tiny in comparison to the human heart. So, that in and of itself may be an exaggeration without visual evidence on the medic's part at the time.

Personally, I like that Rubber is doing SCP'd instead of animating stories that have no sources and are 90-95% of the time lies. Those were dumb. At least when he's doing stuff like this, he's able to shine!
