    If and when you get death wobble, don't start throwing money on harder track bar bushings. The cause is the factory track bar bolts. You may not have noticed, but they are necked down bolts: i.e. the shaft by the bolt head is one diameter for maybe a few milometers/a few 16ths of an inch, and then it is a smaller diameter all the way to the threads. You can either measure the bolt diameter at the head and by the same size/thread pitch. Or you can weld the smaller part of the shaft and grind it round or use the strapping that they use to secure water heaters to the walls.

    Very helpful video!
    I will be referencing this when I lift my Jeep WJ.
    I'm interested in front and rear metal bumpers too. Where did you get yours?

    Thanks for your informative WJ videos! 2 Thumbs-UP!
    I just got a 100% stock 03' WJ and noticed there are less 'ready-made'' upgrades on the market for the 1999 - 2004 WJ than most other Jeeps.
    Is there an upgrade Pitman Arm that could or should be installed with a 4" lift?
    How does the OEM Pitman Arm handle the angles at maximum articulation?...
    ...and how stable is it on the freeway?... ...Have you hauled any trailers with the 4" lift?

    • @kwmoore3464
      @kwmoore3464 3 года назад

      With 4" lift the stock pitman arm will work. If you install a drop pitman then you will have trouble getting the steering alignment correct.

    The upper part of the shock is not a stock thing I just installed my lift and it was just a nut that has to come out noting to do with a hex or anything else.

    IRO and a few others recommended the spring isolators be replaced when lifting. Also what size tire you running?

    • @FastestIntegra
      @FastestIntegra  3 года назад

      IRO charges too much money for the spring isolators and other places don't have them in stock.

    How would y'all compare this to the Rough Country lift?

    • @FastestIntegra
      @FastestIntegra  3 года назад +2

      When I was shopping around and asking questions I had a bad experience with Rough Country tech support.
      Look at the build quality and the parts you get in the kits side by side. You will see that Iron Rock is a much more Superior product.

    • @FastestIntegra
      @FastestIntegra  3 года назад +2

      I was recently at the Off Road Park 4 wheeling and another WJ had the full long arm kit from Rough Country his lift and tires weren't as large as mine and he was struggling going through the same trail.

      There's no comparison, especially if you plan to upgrade to the IRO long arms in the rear. The IRO rear long arm kit is a semi-triangulated 4 link. The RC rear long arm kit continues to use the a-arm for the UCA on the rear, and calls it a long arm lift! 'REALLY!' Also the RC rear long arm kit bolts to the bottom of the unibody frame rails, wher the IRO LCA's are recessed between the frame rails.
      If possible go straight to the IRO long arms front and rear. The IRC rear long arm kit gives a better ride than the short arms in the rear and articulation is incredible!

  • @mrmo666

    You sure those new control arms are installed correctly? Would make more sense to have the adjustable side with the grease fitting on the bottom.

    • @markcarpenter3600
      @markcarpenter3600 3 года назад +2

      Adjustable end goes on the frame side, protects them from damage.
