I currently own a one-owner 2012 C350, and I absolutely love it. It’s been reliable from 90k to 150k miles with no major issues. The only features I wish it had are Keyless Go and xenon headlights, but otherwise, it offers most of the luxury amenities I could want.
Glad you're still around! I don't get to drive my personal cars as much as I did when I first bought the 7 Series, but I still think it's important to go over the maintenance and repairs given a car that sits has the potential to be just as costly as one that's driven often.
Yay more old car videos! The great thing about older cars ia that you don't have to fix everything. You can leave some things broken if they don't matter to you.
Especially if they don't get driven often! I would like to address them at some point, but it doesn't affect the vehicle's drivability at this point. I think back to all the other cars I had been looking at back when I bought this, and feel it was the right decision in 2022, and the right decision in 2025.
We had a 2012 C350 that I miss terribly. I replaced the seat bottom with the OEM cover from Mercedes for around $280 and it looked new. Simple repair that took an hour tops.
Back in 2021 i was able to find a c300 manual transmission with 130k but asking price was 12000 cash ...i was a student and missed the opportunity...it was a decently specced silver car ....
There's rough shifting between certain gears, you'll notice it as it's rather harsh if the problem exists. Mine was doing that going into 3rd for a while, especially if I were on the highway and needed to kick down to pass slower traffic. It hasn't been bad for me for a while now, its been pretty smooth overall, but it is a known issue with the 7G-Tronic transmissions. Regular transmission fluid change can help prevent issues.
As an American, i watch many Canadian and European car videos, when it comes to dollar amounts, i always hear Canadians say “thats Canadian dollars here is the US conversion “ but you will never find an American converting in to any other currency. Why is this? Are Canadians told to reference the us dollar?
Pretty much as the reply above states. 50% of our views come from the USA, so for us to stay competitive we include information for our US viewers while remaining as Canadian-focused as possible.
@ as a Californian, i tend to forget how less densely populated the world is. Im from san jose California, there is 1M people in this 16x18 mile square haha. We often joke about British people not understanding how large America is. My mom once met a couple from the UK that said they were going to bike from Napa county (above San Francisco) all the way down to Disney Land in Los Angeles as their (thats what we are doing tomorrow) they thought it was like 1 city or something. My mom was like yea you need to book a plane ticket cause its close to 500 miles away.

I've been able to live without keyless go, it's nice on the S-Class though. I'd love to feature a C 350 to see how the power is between the two.
I first found your channel during the E38 days, updates on these older cars is what I miss

That's pretty reasonable actually! Would definitely be worth it at that price, I imagine it'll be more for the Canadian parts catalogue.
coming on two years its still awesome!!!!! luxury lunar blue 2012. Mine has backup camera and DVD :D
That's definitely the colour to go with! Backup camera would have been nice on mine from the factory.
@PRNTestDrive I find it more useful than modern backup cameras because it's just a hd 60fps webcam, I personally like this over the lines.

Sounds like it! That would have been a pretty rare option, unless someone did the swap themselves.
What are the issues with the transmission?

Canada's entire population is less than that of California. Most of the viewers are actually American.
