Whole Baked Fish - Herb Stuffed, with Garlic Butter Dill Sauce

- Ask any chef and they'll tell you the best and easiest way to cook fish is to cook it whole. The flesh stays so much juicier and tender compared to cooking fish fillets!
This one is prepared in a really classic way - stuffed with herbs and garlic, served with a garlic butter dill sauce. Insanely easy, insanely delicious!

I added my own touch to the spices i added chili powder, paprika spice, tumeric, a tblspoon of salt garlic lemon juice parsley mixed everything together and added tomatoes as well… THANK YOU SO MUCH For helping us learn about cooking with passion i’m honestly happy with how it turned out. Much love from South Africa 😘✌🏻🇿🇦

Very beautiful and tasty! Have done something kind similar fish on charcoal grill and and dressing with olive oil, garlic, lemon juice and dill.
For anyone that want to take it one step further to impress can open with knife the fish like jacket and cut the bones from tail to head with scissors, in the oven with a filling of your choice or after you take it out, OR you fillet the fish for presentation with some puree of your choice.
Wow, I have to try this once barbecue season starts!

Silly question but what is the string I tie it with and where do I get this string ??
It’s usually called butcher’s twine or kitchen twine. You can sometimes find it at the grocery store or even ask the butcher at the meat counter. They’ll usually have some. If not, you can always purchase it on Amazon.
when the cherry tomatos cooked? along with fish in oven
I like all the effort she did to put alll this 2gther ,but man, every one they are waiting and looking for the heat temperature they need to cook this beast :) Mystery / Dah
Can I do this recipe with salmon?
I will try this recipe with Sik ( Swedish) Whitefish (English) and see how it works out😍
Wow.
Next to a glass of white wine. Perfect!
Omg yes
Does it get aluminum foil over it?
Hi I'm from india, loved all ur videos
noone cares where you're from
Just a bit more seasoning but I like this herbal stuffed fish.
wow
We do clean inside the fish first correct?
Baking Cook time varies by oven, size and temp. 145 degrees F internal temp is what I have read as the finished temp. with temp probe at thickest part. 375 to 400 oven temp. 10-15 min per 1" of thickness (rule of thumb) This is for a whole fish.
What kind of fish is this?
I love how they say oven 20 min but don’t tell you at what temperature.
375f
180 degrees
10/25/21: I thought the same thing. I've seen several and they all do not tell. I had to take a chance and keep a close eye on it when I made it yesterday. Because my fish were fat, I baked them at 325 for 40 mins. Thank goodness they came out perfect!
I’m sorry but these videos and the rest just like them are absolutely horrible and very misleading … This is the perfect example of Clickbait, you go through all of that trouble just to make fish and other food yet you give no information that’s valid or relevant towards how the food should be cooked. No temperature on any of your other videos including this one and the times are totally inaccurate. If you cook a fish at 125° for 20 minutes, you’re almost guaranteed to get sick. What about just telling us, is it 325; 290; 400; 500????? try to make better videos.
Try 350, if your fish is large go for 25 minutes and work up or down
At wat temp
Can i substitute dill to dried parsley?
for the butter sauce? no, just use garlic and butter you don't need the dill
at what f. temperature???
Anyone else miss the oven temp?!?
375f
I missed it too in both the video and the link. Typically the oven is set very high (~180-200 C) but did not see it indicated.
cook it low and slow
If you click on the recipe link in the description it says 430 degrees.
Note to self:
Yumm turned out great with Barramundi fish. Added a few more seasoning eg herbs, garlic, paprika.
Cooked at 190c for a about 30mins. 😋 I forgot to add the garlic butter sauce at the end damn.
How do u eat it? Fish bones don't hurt u?
The tomatoes look like they were baked. Did you also forget to list that in the video along with the temp?
Love the baked fish! I understand the lemon garnish but not the raw tomato or raw dill. The tomatoes should be blistered so the skin can be removed and even seeds should be discarded. The dill flavor is already in the butter. Perhaps some have the notion that a colorful plate or ‘presentation’ is what matters but in reality nutrition and digestive optimization are most important! This is found in old cookbooks from almost all cultures.
I think you are mistaken about the tomatoes. They look like they have been roasted slightly. She might not have shown this step but they are definitely not raw.
@@565286 tomato skins and seeds are to be discarded without exception. people seem to miss this critical step. globalism is bad and is destroying cultural wisdom. just another example here.
@@VedicDesi Why does the skin have to be discarded?
“Presentation Queen syndrome,” as we call the case in Turkish 🦖
😊👍
Some say there is still a dill shortage today because of this recipe.
That amount of butter gave me a heart attack just from watching. Great recipe though! Tasted delicious :p
cá ngon quá to ôi
IDK, does anyone else here think the temperature of the oven is a vital piece of information?
Please what fish was this? Thank you.
Red snapper
It's not clear the oven temperature. Is not clear and when were the tomatoes done
Yummy, thanks for sharing, new sub here! Hope to stay connected 🙂
