Also, I know the MAF replacement is not $600. I was given some bad info before the video and I didn't do my research. From what I'm seeing it's about $100-$150 for a Toyota MAF Sensor.
I just did the MAF and Throttle body today on my 13 Camry, which has 100,000 miles on it. The location of the TB was not as easy to get at, as your truck, but the MAF was easy. Everything went well, took me about an hour! Like you I probably saved my self $300.00 Cdn or more.
those bungees are cracking me up, appreciate the vid. Gonna clean mine this weekend and just wanted to see what others did. For everyone else, you can spray the cleaner on the rag and wipe with it easier.
Thanks for this video, definitely going to do this to my Taco now! Just out of curiosity how come you didn't take the throttle body out and clean it like the sensor? New subscriber love the content! Im from Nevada!
You can see around 7:45 that there are a few different wires and harnesses connect to it and in my opinion it’s not worth messing with all of that to get a little bit more room.
@@desertdime yea i saw that and i kind of figured just wasn't sure thank you man! Keep up the good content!🤙🏽 i got the clone ill friend request you on instagram so you can see!
How NOT to clean an electronic throttle body. Do not spray cleaner on to the electronic throttle body. You run the risk of damaging the servo. Instead spray a little cleaner on a clean rag and wipe clean. Moreover no need to replace the silicone gasket unless it's cracked.
I just bought a 2013 TRD 200,000 miles paid too much has a few issues just watched this video . I'm headed out to clean . let you know the outcome. Rodney Stone owensboro ky.
My Tacoma does that thing where it will start and then die the first time I start it after reconnecting the battery cables. Apparently it is the throttle position sensor which is really easy to reset
I detailed my entire engine bay once and it just got coated again a month or two later haha. Idk if ill do that again. Maybe just some simple wipe downs.

Rockauto 83$ oem
@@jamespayne3838 ........ Is it genuine Toyota.... ? If not, that could be costly. A chinese copy is asking for trouble

Just gotta give her a little bit of gas on that initial start up for a few seconds 🤘🏼
Yes my does that every time I disconnect and reconnect battery. I’ve heard that’s completely normal.
MAF Sensor is about $150 OEM from Toyota.
Welcome back 😀👍🏻👍🏻
Hey thanks man! I appreciate it. Feels good to be back!
Thank u!
Hey how many miles u got in ur taco and does that noise on the engine when u start it normal because mine 2015 4.0 makes the same type of noise

How often do you clean this pls...pls
Did your mpg improve
Not that I noticed. But again I’m calculating by hand when I fill up cause these trucks (2nd Gen) don’t tell you the MPG
I stuck around lol
what size tires and wheels are on your tacoma
I believe 285/75/16
@@desertdime thanks what about your lift and how much was it? trying to find a lift to clear some 33’s on my tacoma
@@cheaterrico1652 lift is about 2.5”-3”. Price I’m a little fuzzy on. I’d check out Accutunes website for pricing on the kit.
You can buy a MAF sensor for $60
Why disconnect the battery?
Don't wanna accidentally start the engine while you're working on it.
Just saying rockauto has all oem parts.. and are cheeper than most autopart stores.
young man...go to autozone buy an air filter...I warranty your MPG will go down for sure.....OK
By the time we c ur video a few thousand peeple have already been scam by the shops.
