No. Just because we are saved by grace doesn’t give us a license to sin. True repentance involves the changing of the mind, so that we understand the severity of sin. That is how Jesus saves, by helping us realizing how our old ways were dangerous and an unhealthy lifestyle. A true Christian would do his or her best to not sin, even if it’s inevitable. Also, I don’t want to talk like a hypocrite. I’ve definitely sinned before, we have all sin and it’s inevitable that we’re going to sin, whether intentional or not. We’re not perfect, but Jesus can show us how to be more like him.
As Christians, we should hate sin and strive to not sin. However, even if and when we do sin on purpose, we know we are saved. You can't judge that a Christian isn't "true" if they are still in sin. Nobody can live up to God's standard of perfection, so He sent Jesus to die for us and impute His righteousness upon us! So now, when God looks at us, he doesn't see our filth, he sees Jesus! Amen!

That's a lie. He does see our filth. No scripture has ever said that He Doesn't see it. He sees all we do.
We're saved on basis soley of our faith, nothing more or less otherwise that would be salvation by works. God commanded us to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. End of story.

GnaReffotsirk right. I feel bad when I sin. I even do things differently and feel weird about certain things I see in life. The only sin I need to take serious gluttony. I feel so bad because that is just as much a sin as anything else. And I don’t want to trample my feet on God

Truly, I didn't know that would happen as a new Christian. I loved weed, I was a STONER I mean every day all the time I just loved it sooo much. Well the closer I got to God I started to get convicted on it, and there will be days when I think hey a little wont hurt I'll go & try to smoke a little and the WORST feeling comes upon me. I MEAN PURE AGONY, so anxious, so paranoid, my heart starts racing. I've never felt like that with weed in my life ever before.

Perhaps the better question is how would God want me to treat my body, especially in light of His love for me and Jesus' sacrifice for me? Is smoking an encumbrance or yoke in my life? Is this activity bringing honor and glory to God? Why does it adversely affect every part of my body, whether I notice the symptoms or not? How does this effect my quality of life? What is the likelihood of addiction or dependency? Is smoking taking time, energy and attention from things God wants me to focus on and do (can God use me more effectively?) He does care about our earthly bodies and they are not ours to do whatever we wish. I smoked for over 20 years and I'm so thankful that God delivered me from that yoke. I am a living breathing testimony and however strong the bond, God can break it with His Ultimate Power.

We can’t enjoy sinning if we are saved, the Holy Spirit will continue to convict us of it, and we don’t want to disobey GOD.

Jesus had to suffer a horrendous death to pay for all of our sins. so why would we even want to continue in sin when we are granted repentance and faith and grace to be able to stop? Sin is the reason why Jesus was sent into this evil world to be slain. A true Christian feels guilty when he or she sins. A true Christian battles with sin and is at war with sin every day of their lives.

Faith without works is dead. You can tell a christian from a lukewarm christian by their fruit. We are saved by grace but we as believers are suppose to be the salt & light of the world. We are renewed and no longer should be living in sin. Plus many people forget about the rewards in Heaven based of how you lived your life.

Faith without Works is dead, but that doesn't mean we're dead and frankly it doesnt matter if you have a faith that's dead or alive to be saved but that faith must be pointed at Jesus Christ!
In Revelation lukewarm was directed at a Church and Jesus was warning that Church that they could lose their witness (candle) if they don't repent. It was never meant for a single individual in context.
"You shall know them by their fruits" Yes Jesus was right when he was talking about false prophets (them) and their words and teaching (fruit).
"no longer be living in sin" a believer is no longer defined BY their sin. Sin is transgression of the law. A believer has died to the law and is alive unto Christ. A believer is under Grace and is no longer under condemnation because Jesus has already paid for all of our sins on the cross. We still sin because we still have on this dead flesh.
We must remember and constantly be reminded that it is by Grace through faith alone that gets us Eternal Life. Works never factor into the equation. Works have their place for rewards but we must make sure our foundation to keep us from falling is not our works, but Jesus Christ.

I grew up under the mantra, "Faith Without Works is Dead". This lead to inevitable failures that lead to guilt and a feeling of unworthiness in the midst of those who were worthy (or so I thought).
Now I understand Grace and know we are ALL unworthy. Now when I fall short I know that I am not condemned and I go to the Lord in repentance and continue striving. My relationship with God is so much more than it ever has been. When we live under legalistic teachings we will ALWAYS fail and undoubtedly fall into the curse!!! Replace my heart of stone. I love you Lord!

THE BEAT by Allen Parr Watching this video has made me feel the conviction of the Holy Spirit. I feel so bad now becuz I struggle with sin and I dont want to continue on sinning. I was doing fine in my fight against sin for awhile, I was prioritizing relationship with the Lord, but I fell into a relapse. I began backsliding and now I feel hurt for the sins I've committed after watching your video. I was even feeling unsaved but I am certain I am saved becuz my salvation comes from the Lord Jesus Christ. He gave His life on the cross for my sins, He died on my behalf, and He rose again on the 3rd day. Thank you for allowing the Holy Spirit to use you for His glory and good pleasure.

Here’s my opinion:
Sin is sin, whether we commit it knowingly or unknowingly. To me, God knows the conviction of our hearts, therefore, He knows when I willfully sin and He knows the sin or sins we individually struggle with.
All of us are sinful by nature, but we can strive to lead a more Godly life. In doing so, we will stumble. If you plan to sin, that’s not stumbling because planning requires forethought and before we sin, God builds in detours, that we can choose to use or move straight ahead into sin.
Again, God the Father, who is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent knows your heart, so for anyone choosing to sin over, it seems to be a dangerous game to play with your salvation. 🙂
This is not biblical at all. Revelation 20:12 - And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their WORKS.

I do agree that we must turn away from sin but we are not perfect and God understands that, and this is exactly why he doesn't give up on us when we get distracted from our path. Sometimes flesh takes over, but it should give in way less than us staying away from sin.

When I came to Christ, I was on fire for the first two years. I then backslid and spent the next 25 years or so as a carnal Christian. I am now, through the grace of God, back on fire and have no doubt that I will not backslide again.

Powerful message, it's so crazy because I woke up with the conviction of the Holy Spirit, about some of my actions. He reminded me that I was not reading the word like I used to, and the things that I was enjoying we're not Godly. I was still going to skip out on reading even knowing this. I got on IG and RUclips instead and this video was at the top of my feed.....smh. compelled to watch, I did indeed and the message God wanted to get across to me was heard and felt in my Spirit. It as almost as if the Holy Spirit acts as a Garmin GPS for our lives constantly making reroutes base on our actions to lead us to God which ever way we turn. Allen..... Im not perfect i have sin and made mistakes i forgive myself and God forgive me and i pray and ask God to help me every day. I have repentance and learning and growing and studying God's words every day thank God forgiving loving providing and protecting me. Wow.. I feel like this was for me. Just last night I was having mixed thoughts about my safety and security in Jesus. I’ve been going down a rough road kinda and looked at my life thinking, am I drifting from God, am I really saved? Or am I lying to myself and will have a rude awakening. I go back to my dream I had of witnessing the Rapture but I was left behind.

I used to sin, and want to do wicked things when I smoked weed, now that Im a christian I want to do those wicked things again, to become truly evil, but I am saved by grace and Im not longer able to do those evil things.... I dont feel genuine remorse over the wrongs I do, but I feel accepting of my journey away from darkness as my flesh so desperately wants to go back

Seems from the numerous comments I've read, the main argument (at times nasty and a lot of disrespect and name-calling) seems to be about salvation/saved status itself versus transformation/change/new lifestyles and attitudes being brought about as a result of said salvation.
I truly believe that Jesus' work is what saved me and any change as a consequence of that is a beautiful gift brought about by the work of the Power and Authority granted to Him and of the Holy Spirit. Even my submission and surrender and repentance is caused by Him - I call it Heart Change and New Life.
Anywho, Can we please have our words seasoned with Grace and speak to one another with deep respect. If we find ourselves disagreeing to the point where we resort to name calling and degrading, it is wise to digress and day nothing at all. To walk away is not weakness, but a STRENGTH. Some would say a clear demonstration of self-control and discipline. Just try it. Love you!
I know why believers do it.
It’s because they aren’t trusting God to fill their needs.
My child ran to sin because of a very emotionally painful marriage.
Instead of doing the work of staying in prayer, and in the word etc they chose to find their own solutions because they felt like God didn’t care.

Ok so the faith without works is referencing the work the holy spirit does in and through a believer. You will know them by their fruits isnt simply just surface fruits. Its talking about believers who even though they struggle, their life produces fruits in its wake. While we arent perfect Jesus works through our imperfections.
These debates on can a Christian sin are straight from satan.
No where in the Bible does it say Christian's stop sinning at the moment of salvation. While I agree the Lord draws us from our old lifestyle of sin, we will not be perfected until we are called up by the Lord.
We seem to think of spiritual fruits as a physical fruit that's just kind of hanging off a Christian's ear. Spiritual fruits are direct evidence of Faith. Even our faith is of the Lord and not of ourselves. If someone has faith in Jesus that is a fruit of the Spirit.
It's time believers realize 2 things.
It's not your job to decide the intent of another person's heart, so long as they have active faith pray and support them to grow.
Not everyone has had a easy life. Some carry real pain from real experiences that you can never understand. Rape victims, surviving victims of murders, etc. Your judgements insist the way you view them is more important than the developing relation and healing Christ Jesus actually intends.
It's as though some believers actually insist faith doesnt actually heal and redeem a person. They are focused on works of their hands. Our works are an attempt to cover our sinful shame. Just as Adam and eve tried covering their shame in the garden.
My salvation is provided by Jesus, not judgemental pharisees who claim they trust in the blood of the lamb but really rely on their own works.

It's pretty simple in my opinion....if a person has that mindset that they can keep sinning and have the fire insurance policy, then they are NOT saved to begin with. A true believer, indwelt with the Holy Spirit, will NOT have that mindset at all. Yes OSAS is completely true, IF JESUS saves us. OSAS is NOT true if the person saves themselves.

When Jesus died on the cross he died for our past, present, and future sins. He knew that we could not keep the standard to live a sinless life. Thank the Lord for grace and mercy. Should we keep sinning as a Christian? No we should not. But it does not mean that if you do, after accepting Christ, you will go to hell. Just try and fight the urge to sin because you want to trust and follow the Lord.
This is a RESOUNDING NO! We cannot sin as much as we want and still inherit the Kingdom of God.
"9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

That verse is referring to unrighteous, meaning non-christians...those who are unsaved.

That verse clearly explains how us as believers should serve God with our lives, but we’re not saved by it. We have to understand salvation is not of ourselves (Ephesians 2:8-9) and that the moment we believe in Christ’s sacrifice, we have all our trespasses forgiven (Colossians 2:13). No one can earn heaven, not even the Jews under the Old Testament Law could. They couldn’t fulfill it, but Christ Himself did with his sacrifice on the cross. Heaven requires complete perfection, only his blood accomplishes that for us

Answer: that's what you want the verse to mean. But the verse says nothing about "rewards in heaven." Paul wrote that he could return to a life of sin and therefore be rejected . . . a "castaway." That means not saved.

Eph 2:8 Salvation is by grace, *"through"* faith . . . not just because you *have* faith. *Through faith* that God exists and rewards we can see that we have a choice - and a decision - to make: to "come to God" on His terms, or, to walk away. Without trust that God exists and rewards we would never see the need to come to God:

Right, we can't *earn* God's mercy and grace. They are *promised* to us if we'll follow His instructions. We'll merit His mercy and grace if we'll obey. The gift of eternal life is free, and God decides who He'll give that gift to.

As I mentioned, Colossians 2:13 PROVES he died for ALL of our sins... past present and future. Heaven is for the sinless, and that’s the whole point of what I’m saying. Are you sinless? We cannot EARN heaven, only Jesus’ blood gets us there. Saying your works overrides what Christ did on the cross is BLASPHEMY. Ephesians 2:8-9 not only says salvation is a GIFT and unearned, but it’s not of OURSELVES (meaning anything we do). Plus, Hebrews 10:26 seems to suggest that once we lose salvation, we can never get it back. How is that possible? Only if that book is talking to JEWS in the tribulation period if they accept the mark of the beast. It’s not for the church today. And one last thing, please explain this... “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your SALVATION; in whom also after that ye BELIEVED (not worked for or repented) ye were SEALED with that Holy Spirit of promise” (Ephesians 1:13). The holy spirit is sealed inside of us forever, and it’s within the context of salvation. If the Holy Spirit could leave us after we received the truth, God would be a liar. And He’s not. You cannot quote one verse with its proper context within Paul’s epistles for the church that says you can lose salvation. It’s the books written for us TODAY in the church age. We must understand that God dealt with different people in different time periods in different ways, called dispensations. We are in the dispensation of grace, or the church age. Romans to Philemon are the books written to us as our doctrine for today. Pulling verses out of Hebrews and 1 John, Mark etc does not directly apply to believers today. Understanding that is essential

Yes you can live in sin. The blood does cover past present and future sins. Christians can fall but no one can snatch them out of God's hands. He who worketh not but believeth on him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness. You can quench the Holy Spirit. It won't talk to you while you override your conscience over and over but it will never leave you. At some point God will leave you to a reprobate mind but he will never leave you. Look at Solomon or Samson. Maybe you'll end up in prison or God will terminate you very quickly. Ananias and Saphira knew the Holy Spirit and they did lie to him but I guarantee you they are in Heaven. The guy who was sleeping with his father's wife, he got put out by the church so that Satan can destroy his body but he was saved. You can live in sin. The law does not save anyone. Only thing the law can do is condemn. We are under grace, we can sin all we want but God is not mocked. We will reap what we sow in this life. Don't let anyone tell you have to maintain salvation yourself. That's you saving yourself. That's works. No one is justified by works. No one can boast. You can only trust in the blood of Jesus. That's it. You can live in sin but you won't live very long on Earth doing so if you are God's child. He will get you to stop sinning even if he has to terminate you early and you will be in the presence of Jesus with a big shameful look on your face. I guarantee you it will hurt like hell looking at your savior that day because he loves you so much and you destroyed your testimony.

Amen. I believe a lot of teachers and pastors cringe when we learn about grace because they may think people look at grace as a ticket to sin but explaining things according to the word should give them encouragement to let God (who is all powerful) the spirit of God (which will lead and guide you) to do the work. We always tell people to come as you are then we usually see the new believers turn away from “practicing” sin and staying under grace. Grace is there for all of us and to remind us that we are not condemned. On the other hand some leaders on the church would like to keep people under fear which isn’t acceptable either. I hope this video blesses everyone who views it.

Another thing to point out is that in 1 Corinthians 5:5 it says this “To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.” So if you continue living in sin and your saved God will bring you home early
