Well, in this video I'm going to try my best to explain what I believe is the scariest verse in the New Testament and one of the most difficult and controversial passages in the New Testament as well. Thanks,

Hey everyone, happy Friday! This passage of scripture has instilled fear in the hearts of many Christians who are afraid that they may have lost their salvation because of what they think this passage means. My goal in this video is to provide clarity and what this passage says and does not say. I hope this video clears up any confusion you may have on this passage and this topic.

@@biblequestionswithchristop8971 you would not get that from Allen. because it involves the Ten Commandments. Which he teachers is no longer binding.
      Here's way.
The scariest thing about Christianity, is believing you worshiping the Father in truth. ONLY to find out on the day for entering the city, that it was all In VAIN. Mark 7:7-9 & Matt 7:21-23 explains this.
      Mark 7.
7)"Howbeit in VAIN do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of MEN. 8)For laying ASIDE the commandment of GOD, ye hold the tradition of MEN, as the washing of pots and cups: and many OTHER such like things ye do." 9)And He said unto them, "Full well ye REJECT the commandment of GOD, that ye may keep YOUR OWN tradition." Rejecting the commandment law of the 7th day Sabbath keeping for the 1st day given by Satan.
The result for DOING this is in Matthew 7.
"Not everyone who says to me Lord Lord will enter the Kingdom of Heaven but the one who DOES the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that DAY many will say to me Lord Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and cast out demons in your name and do many mighty works in your name?(the works of false teachers and Prophets) And then will I declare to them "I NEVER knew you. DEPART from me. You "WORKERS of LAWLESSNESS." (breakers of the 10 laws of Sin)
So the scariest thing is to think you serve God by the Commandments of MEN like Allen. Which you'd be doing in VAIN by ignoring the Commandments of God. But as you REJECT the Commandments of God, so will Christ REJECT you at the door of His kingdom.
Get yourselves in line with God's commands. For "blessed are they that DO His commandments. That they may have right to the Tree of Life. And may ENTER in through the gates into the city." (Rev 22:14)

Obeying the law does not forgive sin. Sin needs to be punished and the only way to avert that situation is to repent and have faith in Jehovah's son: Jesus Christ. The law only shows we have sin, it is there to convict us of sin and believe in God's grace, however it cannot forgive sin!

Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

I struggled with some stuff. Trying to "do the work yourself", is impossible. We have the Holy Spirit. Use Him. Pray for the Holy Spirit to move through you and guide you. The fact that you are struggling is a good thing, we know you are receiving convictions from the Holy Spirit. Now let Him work in you. He provides a way out, always. When you have sinful thoughts, look for a way out of there where ever you are and then pray.

John MacArthur put it like this - “if I could lose my salvation...I would”. Our sinful nature would surely lead to us to lose our salvation and fall away if left to our own desires, BUT our Lord saves his sheep and will not leave us (John 10:28). If you are truly saved you can be assured of your salvation.

in Matthew 12:31. The Pharisees, having witnessed irrefutable proof that Jesus was working miracles in the power of the Holy Spirit, claimed instead that the Lord was possessed by a demon (Matthew 12:24). Notice in Mark 3:30 Jesus is very specific about what the Pharisees did to commit blasphemy against the Holy Spirit: “He said this because they were saying, ‘He has an impure spirit.’”
Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit has to do with accusing Jesus Christ of being demon-possessed instead of Spirit-filled. This particular type of blasphemy cannot be duplicated today. The Pharisees were in a unique moment in history: they had the Law and the Prophets, they had the Holy Spirit stirring their hearts, they had the Son of God Himself standing right in front of them, and they saw with their own eyes the miracles He did. Never before in the history of the world (and never since) had so much divine light been granted to men; if anyone should have recognized Jesus for who He was, it was the Pharisees. Yet they chose defiance. They purposely attributed the work of the Spirit to the devil, even though they knew the truth and had the proof. Jesus declared their willful blindness to be unpardonable. Their blasphemy against the Holy Spirit was their final rejection of God’s grace. They had set their course, and God was going to let them sail into perdition unhindered.
Jesus told the crowd that the Pharisees’ blasphemy against the Holy Spirit “will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come” (Matthew 12:32). This is another way of saying that their sin would never be forgiven, ever. Not now, not in eternity. As Mark 3:29 puts it, “They are guilty of an eternal sin.”

Don't be ashamed or discouraged. It's said in the bible that as followers of Christ we will constantly be hated and looked down upon, even Jesus Christ himself was treated as a criminal, hence why he was crucified. All I can suggest is just walk away from those people when they mock you and don't interact with them if they are being hostile towards you. If they happen to be your friends or people you care about I would suggest you have an honest and frank conversation with them about respecting your faith and your feelings, and if they don't change then I would suggest you find other people who are also Christian to include in your life. Remember that when going through tough times, we should always pray and look for answers in scripture.

[7]Howbeit in VAIN do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of MEN. [9] And He said unto them, "Full well ye REJECT the commandment of God, that ye may keep YOUR OWN tradition." (Rejecting the commandment law of the 7th day Sabbath keeping, for the traditional 1st day given by Satan) This is why they were called "workers of lawlessness" in Matthew 7. @@protestant7778 In the Gospels, Jesus inaugurates the kingdom, ratifies the new covenant, and fulfills in Himself what the Sabbath typified and pointed toward with all the typological patterns from the Old Testament. As the central figure in redemptive history (Matt 11:13), Jesus invites us to find our “rest”/salvation in Him (Matt 11:28-30; John 5:1-30). In many ways, Jesus is restating the Sabbath command, but now in terms of its fulfillment in Him. Because He is the divine Son made flesh (John 1:1, 14-18), the Lord of glory, and, yes, the Lord of the Sabbath (Matt 12:1-13). In Christ, the last Adam, His work is now complete due to His covenantal obedience for us. In Him, salvation has finally come, and God’s primal rest is realized - in a far greater way - a new creation in Christ’s life, death, and resurrection (Heb 2:5-18; 2 Cor 5:17). As Christians, then, we obey the Sabbath command by ceasing from our works, placing our trust in Christ, and starting to live into what it means to be his new-covenant people as we await his glorious return. There’s plenty of evidence in the New Testament that the first day of the week, resurrection Sunday, is viewed as the Lord’s Day (Acts 20:7; 1 Cor 16:2; Rev 1:10). The author who exhorts Christians to make sure they’ve entered into the realities of the new covenant (Heb. 3:7-4:11) is the same one who commands them to assemble as a church (Heb. 10:25). Worshipping on Sunday follows the New Testament’s pattern of churches gathering to celebrate the risen Lord. We no longer rest out of work but work out of rest.

Yeah it’s no longer about your salvation it’s more about a loss of incredible rewards that the Bible talks about in 1 Corinthians. Here is a passage that you may find helpful...
“Because of God’s grace to me, I have laid the foundation like an expert builder. Now others are building on it. But whoever is building on this foundation must be very careful. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have-Jesus Christ. Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials-gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw. But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value. If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward. But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builder will be saved, but like someone barely escaping through a wall of flames.” -1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:10-15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Satan would like nothing more than to keep people laboring under that misconception. God gives encouragement to the sinner who is convicted of his sin: “Come near to God and he will come near to you” (James 4:8). “Where sin increased, grace increased all the more” (Romans 5:20). And the testimony of Paul is proof positive that God can and will save anyone who comes to Him in faith (1 Timothy 1:12-17). If you are suffering under a load of guilt today, rest assured that you have not committed the unpardonable sin. God is waiting with open arms. When You are at Your Most Broken, that is when God is closest to You, and His Compassion is at its most Strong.
God is Waiting, Run back to Him.
Remember, God has not cut You off! You have Not Failed. He has turned His face away as Chastisement! He *will* turn it back when You call to Him! He has not abandoned You. Because He will *Never* abandon You!

However i was living purely for the world with the argument that “not everything in the Bible is accurate or correct.” I now truly believe and have faith that The word is alive and it is God, and that God is consistent and unchanging. @S Dizzy It can be understood as a proper respect for Gods power and authority. Fear, as in react in a way that gives God the glory that he rightly deserves, a proper fear of God is one that brings you to your knees in utter humility and contrition.
We are not given a spirit of fear for anything other than God himself, this type of respect is only to be given to God himself, because no other matches up to God.
Once we understand this fear as a sign of respect, we can then accept that he really does love us and wants the best for us. He wants a loving relationship with us and that is when the fear comes together with the love and then you have a childlike faith. One where the child knows full well the power of his/her Father, but also has complete faith and trust that his/her Father loves, protects, provides and always wants the best for them. Protection, fear the Lord as one who holds the power in his right hand to protect against literally anything that may come against you.
      God bless :)

In respect to the term “fear” in that context is more reverence..to understand that it is ONLY God who has control over our eternal soul..so it is not fear in the sense of being scared but the fear one might have when seeing the splendour and power of the a God who holds the entirety of space in one hand and how small we are in comparison

John Calvin who Calvinism is named for was a reformer in the 1500s from France and preached in Switzerland. He went against a lot of catholic teachings of the time and his main idea was against the top down church government and preached pre-destination (that God had a plan for all individuals and your life is already set ouy with a purpose)
Calvinism may be called a form of protestantism because it's western christianity but not catholic modern Congregational Reformed and Presbyterian chuches descend from Calvinism.
The Armenian church is an ancient church based in the nation of Armenia. It was the first place to officially adopt christianity as a state religion. Shortly after Jesus's death apostles Thaddeus and Bartholomew preached here.
The Armenian apostolic church has a heavy amount of tradition in a lot of their beliefs from the existence of the ancient church and there is some modern reactionary elements within it due to them being in the soviet element and a strong conservative force once independent that both of theses periods influenced the Armenian Apostolic Church.
Modern Armenia is located in the Caucasus mountains north of Syria east of Turkey.

The idea of liars who fool other people is only one side of spiritual deception. The other side is spiritual self-deception. There are those who will look at their supposedly great deeds and presume they deserve heaven. That may even include those who refer to Jesus as "Lord," claiming to know Him and presuming He knows them. However, only people who actually do the will of the Father will enter the kingdom of heaven-and that starts with legitimate faith in Christ (John 6:28-29). Doing great works while borrowing Jesus' reputation is not enough. Those who are not truly Christ's followers will be sent away on judgment day, rather than being welcomed in (Matthew 7:21-23).

I was born again 40 years ago as a teen, I was thirst and hungry for the bible and was desicpled and was what i considered close to GOD, I let my job get into the way of my spiritual life and people i worked with had a very bad influence and I stopped reading the word, going to church and then lastly praying from shame of how worldlly i had become. Fast forward 35 years I had tried to repent and come back because i was sure if i died living that life i was going to hell; it just seemed like i could never get back to the lord and stop the sinful life. In a stroke of divine providence, I heard a evengelist on the radio and his message was so custom made for me I felt as if GOD himself was calling me back, long story short over a matter of months I did get back to a loving and alive relationship with YHWH and Yeshua by the prompting of his holy spirit and his grace, PRAISE GOD i did !!! My mother got to see her son come back into fellowship with Yeshua , and several months she passed followed by my Dad a year after that. I greived deeply ,privately but especially with my mom I experienced the peace of GOD that passes understanding, it's like GOD protected me from depression it was a hard time but I counted on the LORD to get me throught and he did !!! PRAISE YHWH and Praise the SON !!! GOd called me to get me through these times and I am so thankful he did !!! Shalom!

I have studied this and come to the same conclusion that you have here. It is good that you have presented it in such a way that the babes in Christ can gain an understanding. I have been a Christian for 57 years and a student of the Bible the same 57 years (I was born again at the age of 7. I was not lead by an adult, I went to God on my own and repented, confessed and asked Jesus to be my lord and savior. I didn't get baptized until I was 16. My own earthly father had the joy of doing the honors.) These kind of things have never really concerned me because I have always known who I have believed and that He is true and keeps his promises. Again thank you for your clear and consistent with the Word of God, interpretations. There are many would be ministers on RUclips that I have problems with, but you are not one of them.

This verse scared me for a long time so I researched it and sought godly counsel for what it truly means. Jesus was not referring to believers, He was referring to people who 100% knew He was the Savior but chose to reject Him and harden their hearts anyway. I hope that helps!

The scariest thing about Christianity, is believing you're worshiping the Father in truth.
On that DAY, many will say to me Lord Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and cast out demons in your name and do many mighty works in your name?(the works of false teachers and Prophets) And then will I declare to them "I NEVER knew you.

Creators do not have control over this, unfortunately. I'm glad someone said this though, because people don't understand this & think youtubers are tied to these really crappy ads somehow. I think it's just the algorithm saying "Person watching Christian stuff. Plug Christian stuff ads." (lol, did that in my mind as a robotic voice😁) I got a really dumb ad before this too. Just sticking up for people, because I complained before to someone else about ad placement. It was a channel with sermons, and they had an ad interruping the last sentence of what was being said. They responded they have no control and didn't op for ads. I felt kinda bad (didn't complain in a rude way, but still)

    • @misskim2058
      @misskim2058 3 года назад

@@StellaRaeVon No, they don’t get to choose which ads. An algorithm chooses, based on you and your choices, and I do notice they will go against something godly, with something ungodly, because I don’t watch anything that would warrant what some channels have in ads, and that don’t use other web sites that are ungodly, either.
They DO choose whether or not to monetize at all, though. So that says something. Some channels have no ads. Some channels from preachers that get demonized big time have NO ads. They DO NOT monetize, even though people call them “greedy”. They don’t want the taint of monetization to alter God’s word. Some don’t mind. They’ll call it funding their ministry. Others prefer to allow people to make that choice to donate to their ministry unbidden.

I never considered that I was turning away but I believe I fell asleep and I pray the Lord sees and hears my heart ...thx for this...u r one of the very few people that actually knows his Bible well and preaches truth and for that I thank you again...for every time I have seen false teachings u have confirmed that...btw that includes Marcus Rogers who still believes we r not truly saved if we don't speak in tongues ...to him I say can u pick up serpents and not be injured and can u heal ...truly heal physical illness like cancer or AIDS or those dying...? Because these also r signs that u have been saved...so by his words he is accountable just like he doesn't agree the Holy Spirit is a separate entity...that's a big one too... because all sins can be forgiven but not blasphemy of the Holy Spirit....he will be punished and I feel the pain of that tho he hasn't got it yet...but the Lord has said he will serve foreigners in a foreign land til he repents. I know how much it hurts to not feel the anointing and how your soul longs for Jesus and the Holy Spirit when u don't feel it anymore...but he is responsible for over half a million people who trust his words and by our words we will be held accountable...God bless you and thx again brother much respect from Canada. ❤️ p.s....this was really hard for me to admit publically but I believe u understand that.

I always imagined Hebrew 6:4 coincided with 1 John 2:19 - they went out from us but they were not a part of us...if they were they would have continued with us, and Matthew 13:21 those that appear to have roots in Christianity but fall away......during times of tribulation.....therefore they are not Christians or ever were but only looked Christian....like Judas....these are the same folk in Matthew 7 that say "Lord Lord.....didn't we do such and such in your name and he responds by saying I Never knew you...... .what are your thoughts?

Yes, I saw it that way too. At the end of the day I’m not 100% sure what the interpretation of the verse in this video means, but I know it can’t mean loss of salvation. If it could I would have lost mine by now... but God holds on to me and is faithful and full of love and mercy. He always takes me back and it always makes me love Him more.

I Need prayers. Lost my father who was also my best friend. I just moved to a new area after living in one area my entire life. I suffer with major high functioning anxiety and I’m a major overthinker and always have been. My goals is to get my GED and go to the army but I feel all alone. I really want to get my life back on track and get back to being close to God. I’ve been deceived by this prosperity doctrine for years and that makes me sad. Thanks in advance everyone.

Here’s the deal, quit using the term “losing your salvation” there is no such term in the Bible.
But…there are many who don’t lose their salvation but simply give it back. Some of these people say they still believe some don’t but regardless it’s interesting no one ever talks about Mathew 13. If it’s just a belief and that’s it then there’s no reason to even want to grow or learn deeper, I’ve got my heaven ticket. And this is a very real attitude of many. I think a lot of teachers ( I’m not Allen does this) equates living holy and “walking in holiness and obedience) is a work and therefore should be discounted, but James says different, with out works your faith is…DEAD. Just like in marriage if you give those vows back, you divorce your spouse, you didn’t lose your spouse you abandoned your vows and as a result you lose all Benefits of those vows and marriage. It’s the same with God.

Growing up, I was introduced to the faith and was comforted by how much God loved me. In the last 10 years though, I feel like the focus has shifted from the love of God to fear and manipulative tactics.
Before: God loves you. He's the father that sees you, the Prodigal son far off and runs to you to take you into His loving arms. There's nothing anywhere in all creation that can separate you from His love.
Now: Are you really a Christian? Only a few people are going to Heaven. You better perform well to make sure you're one of them. Did you tithe? Were you transformed by the Word today? How about yesterday? Did you miss a day of reading the Bible? Did you cry when you prayed? If you didn't, did you _really_ receive the Holy Spirit? Are you _really_ saved? Did you check all the boxes? Did you get arrested for your faith yet? No? Are you really a follower? Are you _sure_ you're not a goat and that you're_actually_ a sheep? No, no you're not. You're going to Hell. God only loves people who are going to Heaven."

Great video. A couple of years ago I re-read the Bible after spending some time in the world with my back to God. This verse was like being punched in the gut and I had a minor crisis of faith until coli to the same conclusion you did.

@@shaun9976 no, it’s not so much prophecy related, but all the claims Islam makes against scripture. I’m inclined towards them to be honest, I find Christians are dealing so much with Catholics, mormons, 7da, JW’s so much, but not enough about the genuine Islamic criticisms.

😥 What a relief... This verse scared the sin out of me in my early Christian life. I thought it was referring to the "unforgivable sin" which caused me mortal dread all through 2018 and to which so many Christian sites alluded to.
Every so often even after being saved, the fear of being a fake still nags at the back of my mind; hearing Jesus say "I never knew you." would be the single most devastating thing to hear. 😰 I dread for those I love who are potentially gonna be in for that.
