Correction: Americans don’t want ‘a closer replica to the 416’. We want the 416. We don’t care what new name you slap on the receiver. For the price this gun sells for, it should be a 1:1 semi-auto 416.
Would have been cool ten years ago when people really wanted them. Now I wouldn’t consider buying a piston gun unless it has a folding stock and a chrome lined barrel.
People don’t understand that quality and repeatability between samples costs money. Internet is filled with people who have zero manufacturing knowledge or how truly difficult and costly it is to provide what our expectations are as defensive firearm consumers
Exactly to be able to guarantee a 10 shot group with 1 MOA is a high level of accuracy. That’s out of the box numbers probably on a sandbag. If you get a nicer trigger, precision stock, and a bipod you can probably hit .5-.75 MOA on 10 shot groups. Most of the other companies selling ARs on a budget can only promise 3 shot 1 MOA groups. It’s a marvel. Saving up for the MR762A4 as we speak.
The non-chrome lined barrel is there for a reason. 1) They have higher chrome content in the barrel hence improved corrosion/wear resistance, 2) It is apparently an issue to import chrome lined barrels, 3) attempts at chrome lining in the US were unable to meet HK specifications. This firearm is marketed as a "marksman rifle" hence chrome lining could/would degrade the accuracy the rifle was designed to meet. This is ALL a repeat from another channel interviewing HK reps. It could all be incorrect but makes sense. Otherwise, I could care less. I can never afford this rifle😂
For my use, I prefer it not have chrome lining. Look at that accuracy. That's insane. Most people won't be buying them to turn them into machine guns or run them REALLY hard which is the only benefit to chrome. It extends barrel life on MG's.
@Militaryarmschannel, you guys should do a video on the Caracal 816! It's the U.A.E. produced almost exact HK416 clone, only with much better specs and an actual chrome lined barrel for less than half of HK's price.
@@FXIIBeaverthe barrel that this gun comes with is better suited for competition and precision too. 10 shot 1 MOA group. Guaranteed for 10,000 rounds . And if you lose that accuracy HK will replace it.
I agree, Chris @ Small Arms Solution does a good video of the progress from the HK 416 to the Sig 516 to the Caracal 816. The same engineers with the improvements through the years.
Honestly the a1 is closer to the 416. I have a 10.3 OTB and one of the reasons they run, is the action is brutal and over gassed. Smooth is nice but smooth isn’t a duty rifle/combat rifle. I prefer my Haenal
I wonder how H&K can sell this piston gun for $3500 while there are others in the market (sig spear lt 556 for $2600, lwrc piston for $2600, and pof 415 for $2100.) This is not a rant. Just a honest question. Sig, lwrc and pof piston 556 rifles have top notch features, in my opinion. What features does HK rifle have that the other ones do not?
@@chanhuang614 Look new stuff from sig always has problems, HK always works. Sig makes changes then and after a few years they fix all their production and engineering errors, only then it is wise to buy sig.

YES! HK perfection except no substitute! If you say (any brand) firearm to people who know guns they go "ah ,cool" Then say its an HK -----, Those same people say ,"Oooooh that's cool"!
Wow a gun no one has interest in. Way to go HK. It’s 2024. We’ve got plenty of overpriced ARs to pick from. Would be a LITTLE better if it had the military-looking quad rail. They didn’t even deliver on that.
Over priced, over gassed, over weight and over hyped. Big pass! There is a reason Norway and Britain's special forces went back to the internal piston and left the HK in the supply room ..
The 416 is over gassed on purpose my dude. It’s made to be a little more punchy so it runs no matter what. Cold af, hot af, snow, rain, water of any kind really, doesn’t matter. It’s a military rifle designed for fighting where the PWS is a civilian rifle designed for civilians to enjoy shooting paper and steel.
I’m honestly interested in this rifle, not everyone wants a sub $500 rifle. I have some of those, and then I also have some higher-end rifles. It’s a balance, just like this channel.
Does anyone here have contact information for CGS Group ? I purchased an adapter for my Hyperion December 1st and it only made it half way before the postal service lost it. I contacted CGS via email and got one reply (which told me to “wait”) but now I can’t get them to answer any requests. There is no working number listed anywhere and the adapter was $100. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Watch the video that 9 hole reviews does on the A4, they aren't really cheaping out on the barrel. It's a match barrel that has a higher chrome content in it so it wears the same as a chf barrel or possibly better and it gets better accuracy.
They tried different manufacturers chrome lining their barrels and they seen a degradation in accuracy with every manufacturer so they decided to go this way. The MR in MR556 stands for match rifle.
So they gave us what we want finally, but.....the average joe will never be able to afford it. I mean, now we have to come up with a complicated story for our wives to explain why a large chunk of our child's college fund is missing.
Meh..I'm sure it's a nice gun and will work well for the people who what to spend that much for another AR clone, but I won't be one of them. Even if it's made by H&K
Eh, I don't care! It's an AR, it shoots 223, NEXT!! I guess if someone has $3000 to spend on a clone of something, more power to ya. I think one would be better served spending $1000 on a rifle and $2000 on ammo to learn how to shoot instead of the gun sitting in the safe. That's just my 2 cents.
If you already bought their stamped steel SP5 for $3,000 you might find this a better quality, but still overpriced firearm, because PSA sells AR's for under $500. A bought a piston conversion kit years ago from Adams Arms? So I got my 416 already. 😂
meh... hk has been off my 'top rifles to have list' for a long time... there are better rifles - and better piston rifles - out there, lwrc, lmt, pws, et al. for less $$$ than the hk cost... it's heavy and it still isn't even the true civilian, semiauto version of the 416 so hk can shove it... they have definitely proven that they don't care about civilian customers, especially in the u.s., so why should u.s. customers care about anything put by hk on the civilian market here... i didn't even click on this video right after i saw it, that's how much i've lost any affinity for the civilian hk brand in the past few years, but it kept showing up in my yt feed so i finally clicked it... :)
Theres a reason why HK doesn't chrome line. Chrome was to fix a problem in the early years but with new metal treatments theres no need for it and it effects accuracy while giving you different holds on different ammo manufacturers
