Ok. Southerner here. Not news, I know. 😉 Tim changed the lyric that one time. He’s asking for “a LITTLE bit” longer. That one time he’s saying “A LOT - a bit" longer. He wants more than a little bit, therefore, “a lot” a bit. We like to make up words in the south. 😆
His talent is incredible. Great reaction. ❤️ I think you would enjoy “My Maria” with Austin and Tim in the “backyard” over on Austin’s channel.

Glad I could help clear that up. I believe Tim is from Texas. I have more of a west Tennessee/east Arkansas accent. I’m sure those outside of the US tend to think of a southern accent/dialect as one thing. No! There are so many different southern accents. However, there are some similarities in all of them, which make it easier to understand each other. And there truly is a common propensity to create words for our own purposes. 😆
      I’m
Curious to hear “a lot a bit” in a British accent!

Another Southern singer here (Okie).. The lotta bit had to have been a conscious decision to change the word. I definitely noticed it too, and thought why did he do that. It was too much of a change to have been just trying to make the "ih" in little taller and more open.

Chance's solo stuff is gorgeous. I always start trying to list my favorites and then I just end up listing all of them. As far as his collab work, my absolute favorite, hands-down is Hurt with The Hound + the Fox, but others he's done with them and with Peter Hollens are wonderful as well. A lot of reactors find Tim and Austin but miss Chance, which is a shame because he's a gifted singer - songwriter.

Jennifer, Tim was born in Lubbock, Texas. There is such a thing as "a little bit longer " as well as "a lotta bit longer". A lotta bit is just more of a good thing. I live in Mississippi and I use that expression as well. You were soo cute trying to figure out what Tim was saying. Just keep on being you darling !

Another great rendition by Tim Foust. Love his new cd with all the older doo-wop songs. His voice really suits this genre of music. We know he can really bring the bass but how about his falsetto? I have always loved these 2 songs from 1960 "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" by The Shirelles & "Stay" by Maurice Williams & The Zodiacs.

Seriously, who can sing ALL of the parts, it's all acapella with him singing the tenor, baritone and bass all at the same time with the layered tracks and providing the vocal instrumention at the same time.
