So Maggie, what song would you want to sing with Tim?
From 12 years ago, Tim did a very country “Edge of Glory” cover with his buddies. It’s fun.
Look below
That is treble - bass switch😂
@@michaelclarke8389 Below where?
Go watch "My Maria" on Austin's channel. He and Tim do a beautiful collaboration. It's not acapella, but it's just such a surprise and I believe you will love it.
I know that you have been told that Tim has a 5 octave + range. You are now getting proof. For more amazement, go catch Tim doing a duet + with Austin while they sing "My Maria".
I love this rendition. Maggie needs to watch that one.
Its like mid to low 0s to mid to high 5s. Think we may be brushing 6 at this point.
My Maria….my all time favorite!🌷
Tim is mimicking Franki Valli's style where you said he went a little too far. He is a big fan of the 4 seasons so he is paying them homage with that particular vocal choice.
This exactly!
Came here just for this comment! He mixed Franki’s style with his beautifully 😍
I think franki Valli is one of the greatest singers ever.
That "ti-e-i-i-ime" touches back to iconic original Four Seasons version.
That’s what I was going to say. I think it was a popular style back then.
Exactly! Tim is singing it the way it was supposed to be sung. The guy plainly loves doo-wop.
The Four Seasons isn't the original version. Maurice Williams wrote and performed the original version. The Four Seasons is a cover.
@@youtubehandle83 Thanks for sharing that info. 👍
Tim's rendition does, though, specifically reference the version that was the original Four Seasons variation.
Would love to hear you duet with Tim. What a treat that would be.❤
I don't know how many times I've listened to this! Tim Foust is in a class of his own!!! I 💙 Tim! Please react to more of his solos, such as "Since I Don't Have You", and an older one (audio only), "I Can't Help Falling in Love With You". FANTASTIC!
You’ve reacted to Tim and Austin doing “My Marie”, right?
Tim’s original with Home Free:Snow Globe, The Bass Gang: Hooked on a Feeling and this my favorite reactions of yours because Tim’s songwriting and range are amazing.
You need to hear "Duke of Earl" from this album! Tim does Gene Chandler full justice!
Duke of Earl is killer!!❤❤❤
I’ve been hoping for a video of that one
Welcome to Tim’s 5+ octave range!! Go listen to SnowGlobe, which he wrote, and features that stunning voice of his.
There is an audio version only of Tim singing I Can't Help Falling In Love With You, and also playing the piano himself I'd point out, which was from years ago and a very early indication of what Tim can do vocally. He gets pushed into being "the bass" but his range is so much wider.
This is my absolute favorite solo of Tim's! I wish there was video, but this audio is well worth a listen. Just close your eyes, sit back, and savor the moment!
My favorite Tim vocal hands down.
The question that you need to ask is " why isn't this guy a world renowned vocalist".
You have to listen to Tim collaborate with the bass gang on Hooked On a feeling , it will surprise you seeing how it's the bass gang
I haven't seen Maggie this blown away since Austin & Rob nailed Nessun Dorma. LOL
on the run for time... Tim is imitating Franki Vallie's pronunciation during that run.
Tim Foust + Awesome classics songs = divine music!! wtg TIM!!! Great job Maggie = Shooketh :D
Can you say 5 OCTIVE!!!!! His Range is crazy good & NEXT LEVEL! Not sure if this self taught but whom has that flexibility?
It's NOT NATURAL!!!!!!!!!!! Unreal vocal control!!!
Love your reaction Maggie! Yeah you have missed out on some vocals from TIM...
peace
Thank you! 🤗💟 Hope to see you on my Patreon: www.patreon.com/MaggieRenee
Another great rendition by Tim Foust. Love his new cd with all the older doo-wop songs. His voice really suits this genre of music. We know he can really bring the bass but how about his falsetto? He has a 5 octave range. I have always loved these 2 songs from 1960 "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" by The Shirelles & "Stay" by Maurice Williams & The Zodiacs.
Tim said in an interview that to be able to sing the low notes well, you must also be able to sing high notes also.
i don't know where it come from but i'm not a vocal expert i'm myself bass-barriton and if i try to go to to hight notes my voice "stop" like if no sound came out but i have no tropeble going in bass tone and (even if i'm not as good as tim) in subharmonics! after maybe my type of voice is special... i have a " smokey" voice like tom waits or joe cocker!
The "tah-ee-aah-ee-iim" is from the original, so it's true to he doowop genre which is the standpoint of this album.
Tim said in an interview that the key to his bass is his high end work, he also mentioned he often sings high harmony for the group.
Great cover of a Doo-wop classic. I just wish “will you still love” got it’s own track just to hear his version
in an interview he said when bass singers asked for advice on improving their voiceshe said to practice their head voice and falsetto a lot because it would improve their bass tone and quality.
I’ve found Tim often has a ping-y quality in his tone. And I associate that with higher voices.
I first realized where he could on the older Home Free mash up of “Thinking Out Loud / Let’s Get It On”.
And then on the “Edge of Glory” Lady Gaga cover he dropped before Home Free.
I don’t think this is the highest line he has on his doo wop album, but “Why Do Fools” doesn’t have a video.
I became a Home Fry in 2020. The first thing I saw in his high range was a favorite, Snow Globe. I lost my mind! 🤯
@@angelamason9840I don’t listen to much Christmas music, so I never remember this one.
Know this is over a month ago, when I first heard Tim sing way back in tha day, He was a Tenor 1. 😮
Methinks young Maggie finds the deep male voice attractive. Just a guess.
Yes, his work with Peter Hollens is superb.
He sounds great in the Bass Gang's cover of Hooked on a feeling!!!
OMG!! I LOVED your reaction!! He’s a talent unrivaled!!
Very sweet! Thank you! 🤗💟 Hope to see you on my Patreon: www.patreon.com/MaggieRenee
Bug Eyed Jaw Drop!
I find joy in seeing Maggie's priceless facial reactions. 🥰🤗
I've heard Tim Foust sing in all of the ranges demonstrated in this piece. Hearing him sing all of the parts himself is something of a treat.
Listen to Tim and Austin doing My Maria, Tim does a lot of the high parts, it is one of my favorites! Love your channel❤❤❤
Very sweet! Thank you! 🤗💟 Hope to see you on my Patreon: www.patreon.com/MaggieRenee
The look on your face was priceless,I guess you did not know Tim has a 5 active range.
That was completely OFF THE CHAIN!!!😍😍😍
Tim is doing ALL the harmony
This is so very awesome. Tim has a 5-octave range. Love your reaction!
Very sweet! Thank you! 🤗💟 Hope to see you on my Patreon: www.patreon.com/MaggieRenee
Have you seen Mayday? That is mind blowing too!! I see that you did see that video. Tim is an amazing talent.
@@ms.chuckfu1088 I see she did.
Been waiting patiently for this reaction from you. Your face was. PRICELESS!!!!!😂😂😂
He actually recorded the lows in the morning and the highs in the afternoon. That flip switch was the start of the afternoon session.
You should listen to the original pieces by Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons. Then you would understand why he handled things the way he did in Stay
The Shirelles and Maurice Williams, freshman year in college. Tim is just great! Although he credits Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons for Stay, I hear a whole lot of Maurice and the Zodiacs. Loved your reaction and analysis.
Yeah, and though he didn't mention them, the original by them is where that "a lotta bit longer" comes from.
Maggie I have waited such along time for you to react to this i have his doo whoop album and its brilliant he does the lion sleeps tonight and does all the sound and beat boxes as well you need to listen to him with Bass gang Hooked on a Feeling
Tim has a five octave range!
I ❤ Tim Foust
Well, I don’t love him, BUT his vocal range is mind-blowing!
Home free, and tim foust, and all of em.... mind blowing, and love the 50's acapella.
When he sang the word "time" it was in the fashion of hiw it was sung in the day. Tim is an anomaly.
*Tim's vocal range is insane!!!*
That was Tim's 5+ octave range. It's fabulous. Lol
Tim has a 5 octave range and also knows how to arrange.
I read that as “Tim has a 5 octave range and knows how to” and expected “use it” to follow. 😆
@@DennisKovacich I was trying to avoid the expected you got me there.
How can you not love Tim Foust. His range is crazy.💗💗
That's Tim singing with himself. Check out "Come Go With Me" if you haven't heard that one yet. Dig up the original song. You'll find it isn't all that different. He did a great job on this.
Truly enjoy checking out you reactions. Here is a suggestion that I am sure that you and your listeners will enjoy. The Father of Soul, whose voice greatly influenced R Kelly, Rod Stewart and Steve Perry (of Journey band), and many others.
SAM COOKE " Somebody Ease My Troublin Mind "
What talent !!!! What skill !!!! WHAT VALUE IN MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He sang "time" that way because it's in the original song.
Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs "Stay" is the original. He references the Four Season's version in the outtro talking bit. Both of them did the ti-y-y-yime thing
Whole album is do wap! His Buddy Chris Chatham is engendering and producing and recording. Catch him playing guitar and singing his sweet tenor voice.
I don't think I've seen you wig out like that since learning about Rob singing opera. So fun to see. As far as the voice.....this is bangers!!!
Hahaha! I was waiting to see your face on this one! You didn't disappoint!❤😂😂😂😘
Love how he layered this. Incredible talent.
Mayday and Your Man he shows it, especially in the live version of Your Man.
Keep on keepin' on, ma'am! Enjoy Wien!
Why did I have to scroll through half of the comments before seeing anyone mention Mayday?
I always like listening to Tim doing a duet with himself...
If you haven't reacted to the Bee Gees cover of Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, I highly recommend it
'STAY' was originally done by Maurice Williams and written by Maurice.
Maggie, I love hearing your comments . . but you're such a beautiful woman, I like watching just as much !!! :)
One of my all time favorite songs. Never heard of him but I'm 74years old so I remember the song very well ❤❤❤❤❤ .BOTH SONGS. You need to cut a oldies album. HES GREAT 😅😅😅😅
Tim's vocal range is G0-A5
Why haven't you reacted to Brazilian cover singer Gabriel Henrique yet?
On his own or even when featured, Both Austin and Tim love throwing in their highest notes during the fade out at the end of the song. A jointed impish side of theirs I guess.
Holy cheese muffins that falsetto! I had to pick my jaw off the floor!
BTW Tim has a 5, yes 5 octave range, and he teach's friends Geoff from voice play and avi how to expand their ranges. Geoff and Tim help each other arrange songs for each others groups
Kind of surprised you're not considering that Tim could be utilising counter-tenor techniques, given your level of education. I've had the privilege of attending a concert that split between baritone and counter-tenor from the same performer. I hadn't heard Tim do a Frankie Valli impression before, but he's definitely showcased his top range in the past.
What a great reaction. Please check out Lucy Thomas. She has been singing on RUclips since she was 15. She has 4 albums. I would love to hear what you think.
Hola bella! Podrías reaccionar por favor a Gabriel henrique en Stand up o Earth song?
Es MARAVILLOSO!!! ❤🇦🇷
My favorite Tim song so far. Peace, Love!!
sounds almost as deep as Geoff-very strong and controlled voice then he goes up high-unreal-well done and great reaction maggie
Tim is a better bass than Geoff. And I like Geoff. Geoff is more bass tricks while Tim is more natural. Even Geoff says that while he can hit the same notes as Tim, he doesn't hit them in the same way. This isn't hating on Geoff, he's a very talented fellow.
@@kroft6799I agree. Geoff also says he can't hold a bass note as long as Tim.
Tim’s amazing!! Love this one. He does a lot of collaborations with Peter Hollens (another a cappella singer) and he collaborates with the Hound + Fox too. He also just did a song Got a Feeling (I think that’s it) with the Bass Gang and he goes both low and high in that one too. Good reaction Maggie!😍
I appreciate that Tim is singing ALL parts and harmonies in this rendition❣️❣️❤️🔥❤️
Got to checkout Tim’s collaboration with Bass Gang on Hooked on a Feeling. Five Bass Singers harmonizing together with their entire voice ranges. It is awesome.
If you like this you should check out since I don't have you from Tim
Somebody would love to do a duet with tim..... just say'n
Maggie--are you going the bring out any NEW Home Free reactions instead of reposts?
Mayday shows this as well. He sings tenor and also the high harmony in the outro.
In Mayday he only sings tenor
Tim Foust did a solo of "In My Room" by the Beach Boys. Also, Tim collaborated with the Base Gang singing "Hooked on a Feeling".
YES! Tim has such incredible vocal range and control over all of it! He's my personal vocal idol; I've been training my voice since I was about 13 to mimic his.
I'm sure I don't sound nearly as good as Tim ('cuz it's Tim; oh yeah, and I'm untrained 😅), but was actually able to hit all those notes. I'm just hoping it sounds at least passable.
Tim has as I've heard a 5 octave range and he did blow some speakers with his lower range at one of Home Free's live shows.
5 vocatives is his range and doo wap is his not-so-secret pleasure
Maggie, you are one hilarious coach, l enjoy your reactions a lot and honestly, Tim is a genius and a general when it comes to his voice. He is something else and l always expect the unexpected when it comes to his range
WOW! His range is amazing. From tenor to subharmonic bass, simply incredible!
If you’ve not heard this side of Tim before with Home Free, then I suggest you react to “Mayday”. I’m not sure if you’ve already reacted to it, if not, highly suggested.
I think she should check out Thinking About You/Let's Get It On.
I think the "switching "in the beginning was nothing but a "get ready here it comes." 😆
Loved the reaction❤️Tim is actually all the voices you here in this song I read where there were over a hundred layers. His entire do-op album is fantastic.
omgggg this man! His range is simply amazing.
Love this!
Loved the reaction, thank you
Peter and Tim’s album of duets was released back in January. IIRC
Ok check t Tim doing come go with me and hooked on a feeling
All tracks, harmonies are Tim
Always in love with your reactions.
Very sweet! Thank you! 🤗💟 Hope to see you on my Patreon: www.patreon.com/MaggieRenee
Such a contrast in voice from him in hime frees “brothers in arms”
Great Post. And your face when he did that. LMMFAO!!! You were in shock. Nice Post, Maggie. Thank you for sharing this with everyone.
This was almost as much fun to watch as your reaction to the Butts Melody.😂😂😂😂
I knew going in that this would be an amazing reaction, was not disappointed in the slightest, hence why I suggested it.
Yes yes yes i will stay forever 😊
