June was quite chilly for us in Alaska. We mainly ran the heater in the evenings and early morning. Daytime was fine without the heater. We also had a fair amount of rain where it was 45 degrees outside.
I see a small dehumidifier in the background... I tried that same model in my RV and it only pulled a few drops of water from the air. With diesel heat and propane cooking I imagine you are fighting a constant battle with condensation.
The dehumidifier works fantastic and is used only when the boat is being stored, in between our trips. When we're on the boat we don't use a dehumidifier at all. When we're cooking or using the diesel heat we open the top hatches to let the moisture out.
Kerosene has been easy for us to find. At home, the hardware stores (ACE, Lowes, Home Depot) all carry it. On our SE Alaska trip it was easy to find in Ketchikan, Petersburg, Juneau. It is more expensive than diesel, but it burns cleaner (less maintenance needed on the heater), doesn't smell like diesel does, and has a much longer shelf life over diesel.
Please tell me what and where you bought the steering suicide knob for your R27. Why did you put it on the inside of the wheel (instead of the outer perimeter of the wheel).
We have the suicide knobs listed in our Amazon Affiliate store. www.amazon.com/shop/letsgochannelsurfing/list/JXWIB1PQZGSZ?tag=onamzchannels-20&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_m
I put the knob on the inside so it doesn’t interfere with driving the boat. The topline knob is what I switched to, and it mounts a little different but works well also.
I used my heater in May in Alaska…then turned it off for four months straight. Filled it up once. lol.

The quality of Channel Surfing Creations is TOP NOTCH. Highly recommended. We'll be buying more goodies shortly. "Solo on the Sound"
Thank you so much for your support.

Any problem finding kerosene? I use to use it for a heater in my shop, and it was hard to find and$$$
