I bought and own D100 Dungeon game system and completely fell in love with it. I hope to see many many more RUclips D100 DUNGEON MAPPING game playthroughs!
I really enjoyed watching this miniseries, it was a lot of fun, and very informative. I would love to see you do another series with this game's updated rules (currently on version 3.2).
Everyone of your videos has ended up costing me money.... except this one! Thank you for the play through. I look forward to each and everyone of your videos.
This mini series of videos really helped out with getting a feel for the game! Printed out a copy a few days ago and will start my first character tonight :)
Name: Dave Backstory: Dave works in a McDonalds drive thru in Detroit. Mid way through a particularly boring shift his co-worker comes up to him and offers him a particularly beautifully crafted chicken nugget. "Here, try this, it's a new recipe. Paprika!" Dave looked down at the perfectly golden creation, and picked it up between his forefinger and thumb. He lifted it to his mouth and began to chew, the delicate batter shattered between his teeth, giving way to the succulent flesh of the well seasoned chicken within. His colleague smiled... "Enjoy" Dave turned back to the window of the Drive Thru and rested his head in the palms of his hands. Nothing was happening. The sun shone through the glass and singed some of the small hairs on Dave's right hand. A light stream of smoke began to rise from his wrist and started to swirl around his arms. The smoke grew thicker and shone purple then green. Small explosions and sparks fired off around his head and as he looked down he noticed a platemail chest piece strapped to his torso and thick brown leather boots bound to his feet. Around him the walls of the serving booth had turned to cold wet stone and the serving hatch fell away to reveal a hollow gaping entrance to a cave. A loud screech could be heard from within the darkness and as Dave went to shield his ears he felt the weight of a large metal flail pulling at his arms. He called out into the darkness. "Hello?" Another loud screech echoed from deep within. He picked up the flail and began to spin it, he took one final look at the dark sky and ran headlong into the darkness, his war cry echoing around the rocky chamber. "I AM DAAAAAAAVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" A middle aged businessman pulled up to the hatch to collect his order of a Big Mac and fries but on seeing Dave, wound up his window and decided that today was a good day to start eating healthier and to maybe go for a run in the park. He put the car in drive and slowly pulled out into the road. A Joni Mitchell song came on the radio. The business man caught his own reflection in the side of a bus. "I am Dave" he said to himself, and began to weep.
Really well done series of videos! Great photography! Clear demonstration of play! Your intro was intriguing to me because I fit the description: I want to be able to play by myself, but I want the game to not be very time consuming, yet still feel like a campaign fantasy rpg. Congrats, and thanks for your excellent video!
Thanks for playing this game, I enjoyed you adventure... looking forward to the next one. As for a name, I envision the warrior as a female since the narrator has such a nice beautiful voice. Here are a few ideas, Beth the Bold, Christina of Chaos, Stephanie the Strong, or Fiona the Fierce, etc.
I'd be tempted to blow up the page that has the rooms on it make a few copies and make a chipboard tile set. Maybe go nuts and make extra tokens for things that can be in the rooms.
Enjoyed this play through, please do more. As for the name, how about Raclain, the Rat Flayer. His nick name can be changed later as his rep grows and he slays larger creatures. I can see those at the local tavern calling him by that name after he came back and spoke of his first adventure and revealed the parts he collected.
Of course, you finish this video series and v2 comes out. I have been playing this game for some time now. Hope you give us updates on "Kram the Wanderer".
Ok, what is the point of wearing leather armor if it provides no damage protection? I see that both the leather cap and the leather belt provide no damage modifier, and so I presume no protection. Am I missing something?
I enjoy your video. I was looking for a review of the game and your play thru sold me on the game. I'm into my 3rd dungeon run in 3 days and can see more than a few changes and upgrades to the game. Have you play D100 any time lately and have you played the updated version of the game? What about the other Quest books? I would also like to know how far your character went in the game? Did you retire your Hero or bury them?
Sadly, my character was buried with much lamenting and gnashing to teeth. I haven't tried the latest version of the game but I hear it clarifies a few of the murky bits. It is a game I'd like to circle back to again though.
Enjoyed watching this but all the way through all I could think was how to modify these rules to be a 'Waterdeep' style thieves adventure with the time track being hours till sunrise. starting square is the street outside, go through window or door ? Wait a while so less chance of someone seeing you but less Time in the building? Stealth vs combat. Are you a thief or an assassin? Oh well try a few basic run throughs first. Cheers
Will you be doing any more solo pnp soon? theres so many and i'm not very good with rules so i look for vids but many dont have a single tutorial to their name... like zelda in my pocket, I wanna play it but fairy in my pocket don't have one so the zelda version is lost on me, i'd like to find out if its the same as zombie in my pocket
After watching your vids, I hit the buttin and bought the book. Also there is a free roleplaying system called Open Legend....I am working on a way to make it solo. You might want to research that one....Can be used for any genre.
I thought the rule for poison was after making a poison test one pip was removed. If I am correct you should have been able to remove 1 P-pip in the dungeon after your food check, this would have saved you 40gp in town. Am I right? I do not have the game I am just trying to remember what you showed when you got poisoned.
Did you end up repairing the Flail? You mentioned doing it before spending money at the market, but is seems like you skipped over that and maybe also buying the essential items near the end. To be fair, the video was running a bit long and since the video is titled "Finale" I'm not sure if you intend to run a second dungeon, so skipping over that stuff isn't super important. Still, this was a really good overview of D100 Dungeon and it's given me a lot to think about in terms of checking it out and maybe playing it for myself, so thank you very much.

Some excellent demonstration in this series (especially the use of notations and colored pencil). Thanks!
PLEASE suggest another PnP! I loved it and if it wasn’t for you I would have never found it. A PnP list would be awesome!
Thank you for the detailed play-through. I picked up some useful pointers and can't wait to give it a go.

Great video series. Will be printing it out over the weekend
These videos really helped me getting into the game. Thank you so much ^^
I love how she gets so excited by her dice rolls 👍 Really looking forward to getting my copy of D100 Dungeon... only ordered it on Friday.
So glad you did this one. Miss your videos. Hope you get to make one soon, even if it's not a full blown playthrough!
Brilliant video- thank you!
Lots of fun. Thanks for bringing this game to my attention!
This was a fun game series to watch. The game seems like fun, too!
Fun stuff! Thanks for posting this playthrough. Really enjoyed it!
Hi! Just found your channel. Great job with your D100-D videos! Any plans on making any more?
How about naming the hero Martin, after the author? He's Martin Knight, so he should probably be Sir Martin...
Times I wish I had a UPS store near me. Great playthrough. Hope to get to it myself soon.

You actually have 3 options when a monster tries to escape. 3rd option, just let it escape and wave goodbye....
Ok, what is the point of wearing leather armor if it provides no damage protection? I see that both the leather cap and the leather belt provide no damage modifier, and so I presume no protection. Am I missing something?
You can sacrifice points on the item's repair track to absorb damage.
Let me repeat that. We have been soo lucky so far, we are diseased & poisoned..
I'm going to check this game out

I suggest the character name of "Dice Wrongly".

Latest version of D100 is V3. Are these tutorials still relevant for that version? Or are there too many changes?
After watching your vids, I hit the buttin and bought the book. Also there is a free roleplaying system called Open Legend....I am working on a way to make it solo. You might want to research that one....Can be used for any genre.
Can't you sell the spells?

Poison only allows you to remove a pip if you take damage.

Do you start a new combat track every time you enter a new dungeon or does it carry over until you earn all the EXP on it?
Sir Yra could be a cool name ;)
Great video to learn by. Some of your expressions make me laugh.
Name the character Solo.😁
Squire Yolo is my vote.
hahaha i am really enjoying this.
Character Name: Elongus Dongus 😜
Arrabella
