"Not every meal has to be super exciting." YESSS! Eat to live! Don't live to eat. It's an uncomfortable thing to grasp. Western culture has made food so much about pleasure that we've sacrificed our health. We've got to have a better relationship with the purpose of food.
it’s exactly the opposite for me. i used to eat the bare minimum so that i didn’t die. i was passing out all the time, always cold, and my hair was falling out. it turned into a deadly eating disorder. now i’m in recovery and i enjoy every meal i eat! it was scary at first but now i know the purpose for food, it was made for us to enjoy and to fuel our bodies
There are more receptors which say your brain "I´m full" than just the ones who say "my stomach is full". To avoid craving you have to eat meals with many different textures, spices, ingredients, so that all receptors are going to be satisfied. You can maintain that for two weeks (but why should you?!?) but not on a long term run. That ist not how our body functions.

Maybe you know this already but mashing up a ripe banana and mixing it with mashed pumpkin is a delicious pudding. Oh and 1 tsp of tahini. 😉 Not part of the potato reset but... so good.

This may sound silly, but I'm curious if anyone has tried or come upon a similar "reset" kind of diet but.... without the potatoes. ! I just... don't.... like potatoes. SORRY! I do love vegetables in general, and could get behind that but I would need something that was at least a bit calorie dense in there too. Maybe buckwheat groats? I love those and can picture combining them 100 ways with veg. I know there is nothing miraculous about the actual potato that makes this simple, plant based, whole food diet work. So i'm thinking a swap might be possible. Thanks, i find your videos inspiring.

You are not doing an extreme or starvation diet. I like the way you eat. I get what you mean, sometimes I crave broccoli and potatoes for breakfast instead of my usual oatmeal. THE VEGAN TRIFECTA! I agree strongly that not every meal has to be exciting or gourmet. Let me start by saying that I am not vegan, however I am happy to incorporate ideas from Hannah, Kiki & now you. I'm affectionately calling you my Vegan Trifecta because, I'm obtaining great wisdom about food, losing weight, recipes and nutrition from the 3 of you ladies. I started by watching Hannah over the last couple of years, then less than a month or so ago I learned about Kiki who apparently has been inspired by Hannah. Seeing you and your kids fighting the aliens reminded me of the series 'Stranger Things' which I'm watching these days! I find it very thrilling even if I usually don't watch horror movies. ;) I can relate to you eating plain food. I'm also satisfied with some romaine hearts and boiled potatoes. It's my go-to lunch because I can eat it also while riding my bike when I go to an appointment. I wrap them in some kitchen paper towel so that they look like sandwiches. :)

I also use the Ninja air Fryer with no oil . The potato stays amazing! 7 /40 down . I want to lose 40 as well so l can get to my weight of 12o before the plandemic.
I go through food and alcohol phases. Right now I'm back into rice (instead of potatoes). I wonder if I could do this with rice? :-) Granted, I still like taters. I guess lots of brown rice with veggies would make me macrobiotic. By the way, actor Dirk Benedict (The A Team and Battlestar Galactica) wrote a GREAT true life story book long ago called "Confessions of a Kamikazee Cowboy" regarding healing cancer with brown rice/macrobiotics.
Please give me some insight into eating all that broccoli and tons of veggies snd not dying of bloating and gas! I take probiotics. But clearly my body isn’t used to eating this way. And even if I try to push through for weeks and weeks it doesn’t seem to improve. Help!

What is ur height and current weight. I am curious to know. As I struggle with mine. I eat clean n active but never able to maintain my goal weight. I am 165 cm, 60 kg but my goal weight is 53 kg. I loose n regain again. I don't know what else left to do.
I always think the baby backpacks also mess with the position of the baby's bones. I just cringe when I see how weird they have to be against the parent while in those packs. Love the great info about the all potato diet.

Any suggestions on how to fix potatoes causing constipation? I peel them to try and make them easier to digest but doesn't seem to help.

I go through food and alcohol phases. Right now I'm back into rice (instead of potatoes). I wonder if I could do this with rice? :-) Granted, I still like taters. I guess lots of brown rice with veggies would make me macrobiotic.
