“Tastes like oats and carrot. Doesn’t taste like pizza, but that’s all right!’” That was so helpful, and it’s difficult to explain why. I often feel like whole foods should taste just as amazing as processed junk, and when it doesn’t I’m disappointed. This was such a real reaction, that it made it okay that sometimes Whole Foods are just fine, but they are still worth eating.
I've been a healthy eater for decades. And still very overweight. Because I always ate more than I needed. My eyes are never a good judge of portion size or calories. From time to time, I try intuitive eating. I always start gaining weight. I have been tracking my calories (weighing my food) for two years. It's what works for me. Of course I choose less calorie dense food so I stay full longer on fewer calories. Even with vigorous exercise 5 days a week, I can't eat more than 1400-1500 calories a day. Even then I only lose about 1/2 lb a week at best. Everyone tells me it "shouldn't" be that way. I've just accepted that it is, and do what I need to.
I really enjoy these kind of videos. I love that your home is real and we get to see your life as you really live it. Thank you for opening yourself up and sharing it.
You are looking beautiful 😻, After losing over 50kg /100lbs in 5 months I realized When it comes to weight-loss so many people want quick results so they easily give up. When you gained all that weight, it didn't happen over night . its the same when losing your weight. Never give up. Stick to your goal and Be Patient with yourself 🔥🔥🔥
my main problem with calorie counting being already wfpb is that I just don't want to have to measure every ingredient I cook with. Especially since I meal prep/batch cook usually 1-2 a week. I had to do this for a nutrition class and I was definitely the person that was eating 900 calorie very nutritious salads with tahini dressing, beans, sweet potato or rice, etc. This is the main thing keeping me from losing the other 50 lbs to get to a healthier weight. I try to keep that 50/50 plate in mind, but sauces that I actually like are still something to work through for me.
Watched you on my tv but can't comment there so popped on here. I loved this video! I always get excited when I see you have posted one. These videos are what's helped me lose over 25 pounds so far! Seeing how you eat and put meals together and how you shop, has gave me so much inspiration. Thank you for sharing all of your content Chelsea. You deserve such a successful future sweetheart x
Really appreciate your content and those videos ! Will definitely give a go to that awesome soup ! Also just wanted to put it out there but really enjoy how down to earth you are, simple and natural no pretence ! It's so refreshing and cool ! Keep doing you ! Cheers from London !
Chelsea I just love everything about you and your videos. You are so real and down-to-earth with a great sense of humor. Best of all I relate to the way you eat more than any other vegan You Tuber I watch so I love your recipes. Keep up the great work and stay humble. 🙂
Chelsea you are seriously awesome! 😁 So refreshingly real too. Love your content! I totally understand how screens and social media can makes us feel blah and overwhelmed- I purposefully limit my use because honestly, I'm mentally happier without too much of it. Anyways love what you do, keep doing it 🤩🤩
@@JustineMertz this struck a chord with me because my husband has MS too. This is just another a reason I hate the dogma around things like using microwaves or buying non organic, sometimes your situation just DOESN'T allow that level of unattainable perfection (for very little to no benefit) and it's demoralising when you never hear that its NOT necessary or vital. Kudos to you and keep going girl. Much love.
Great video, looking forward to trying out the recipes very soon! I had a huge smile on my face watching you on your skate board. I was thinking what a great example for your little girls to learn early that you can still be a grown up and have fun being physically active.
I would love to have a tea and a couple of those cookies 🍪 😋 Thanks for all that you do..I'm 55 yr old mom/grandma and the weight has been very difficult to get off until I started eating this way..I've lost 30 lbs since Sept 23.. your work on this channel has helped me immensely.. keep up the good work 💕🌿🦋🌿💕🇨🇦
I make these cookies often it's what keeps me on track. I probably eat about 5 a week 😉. If I was to pick one of those meals it would be breakfast as I have oats 95% of the time x
@@wendylynnjones I'm a 48 year old and I too struggled to lose and keep weight off until I started eating like this. I'm still learning but these videos excite me so much! She's brilliant how she explains everything isn't she. I love her! Congratulations on your weight loss. I too have lost over 25 pound since June 😉 x
I love these videos, Chelsea Mae. I've started making some bowls using your style of food preparation and have found that when I eat like that I feel great!
Love this kind of video! BTW, I have been listening to your Podcasts and enjoying them immensely when I am out walking. I especially love to hear your accent (or maybe it's actually I who has the accent since I live in Vermont in the USA). I chuckle every time I hear you say "shedding fat" because it sounds entirely different when said with an American accent! Also, your daughters are adorable. Glad you are making money on your videos. Keep them coming!
Great Video!! I love the way you video tape your cooking. Its like how I/most moms actually cook. Sometimes I get annoyed by videos who make it look all perfect.
Love your food videos. You're so genuine. I love my food, but remember when I didn't so much, so it's important to remember that tastes change, and eventually, I will come to appreciate my new phase. There are things I used to eat that I think are garbage now, so yeah... Things change. Does Nick have a secret to his yogurt making? I have had success and failure trying to get good soy yogurt. Thanks. Lynn
Love these videos...I was eating lunch while watching! Sautéed zucchini and cabbage with steamed potatoes...I have been using hummus atop the potatoes, but realized I was REALLY over serving myself on hummus 😬 so I have just started cutting back to 1 TBS hummus and some yellow mustard over the potatoes...yellow mustard is really tasty on them...and lots fewer calories!
Great meals😋 I very much enjoy seeing your cooking 😊 The only thing I would change is in the green soup: I would swap the mint for dill. Green peas and potatoes love dill☺️
Just found your channel and love it, thank you for sharing. Just wondering when you used your pressure cooker to cook your dinner am I right in thinking you just kind of used it as a pan and didn’t pop the lid on at all ?
Delicious meals all day long! Those cookies look chunky, satisfying healthy & tasty! Please share more secrets!!! I hope to make more enjoyable healthy meals someday. Your food truly looks amazing!!!
Love the content. Your dinner was like everything but the kitchen sink, eh? Lol. I’d love to see what variations you do for your children. My son is 16 months old and I feed him almost the exact same as me but I’m worried that it’s not enough calories or fat and etc.
How do you make the yogurt, please? I wanted to get one of those yorgurt makers but not use their sachets.. just use regular (vegan friendly) yogurt sachets. I wonder if that would work?
