  • An alternative tour around Turin, following the route Michael Caine took in a Mini Cooper in the classic 1969 movie 'The Italian Job'. This homage revisits the city locations and even attempts at recreating the stunts, fifty years (in 2019) later, as well as exploring the beautiful city of Torino itself.
With subtitles, dreadful Italian and some bad driving x
PS - more on The Italian Job film locations in Turin can be found at: www.theladytra...
PPS - to the true fans of the movie and the minis: I do apologise for using modern BMW models here (I couldn't get models of the original minis).

All these locations were also in PS1 game "the Italian Job", especially the Ice Skating Bulding, you could drive up to the top there :)

@@Theladytravels It's so funny, Now I need to watch this movie all over again...Our Italy Trip of a lifetime, we spared no expense 3 weeks, Rome, Florence, Tuscany, Pisa, Cinque Terra, Turin, Milan, Venice then back to Rome and home....to Calgary, Alberta.... Pisa was on route to CT... all on the HighSpeed Train and Tuscany with a car for a week where everyday was to other destinations a few hours here and there.... I'll never forget that coffee as our tour guide told us about the 2 best places and the night before we tried one she told us was "Tied" for 1st place! it was almost the main reason for the stop in Turin and of course Milan... the last supper which we had tickets for! We used a great tour company... there main office is in Sienna and Claudia who called us for each location met us there for lunch and an Olive and wine tasting and lunch... Ciao Tours.... Nice to gab about the trip and Thanks again for the burst of endorphins while watching this... Oh and then had to also buy and watch the Dan Brown movies... It's those things that you see and then say... OMG we were at that very SPOT.... and the BULL in Turin... lost my wife and Guide when I stopped to take a few photos and spin on the Bull.... we found each other eventually.... If you even get to Milan... I will put it out there that you are going to.... Luini in Milan, Best home made Panzerotti....EVER. 2 Euro!

Sad to see that for the brits the city isn't enough attractive...U must put upon a british movie to become good enough to see and give enough reasons to be known...
Like muricans that puts ketchup & mustard on an original pizza margherita, cause isn't enough tasty...

Well, l do hope my little film here will persuade at least some of my British viewers to visit this beautiful and enchanting city (once we can all travel abroad safely again), whether they are a fan of ‘The Italian Job’ or not x
