Short Catechism - holy Elders / prezviteros from the book: "Elder Paisios - a man of God's love" #orthodoxy #catechism #newvideo #serbianorthodoxchurch #orthodoxfaith #elders
I can testefy to the distractions. I have to say I've never been so alone in my life, this time by choice and I haven't felt better in my life since i started praying before sleeping and as soon as I wake up. I've been dealing with sleep issues for a while now but I can put myself to sleep with prayer and I've noticed the distractions as my mind start's to wander. But when I i close my eyes i see the frescoe of Jesus Christ feom the temple of Saint Sava and feel at ease. I want to also attend the holy liturgy but I'm worried that it's too soon and I don't want to be hypocritical since I consider my conscience as the voice of the Lord. Any advice is welcomed brothers and sisters. Kyrie eleison.
The thing you are doing is absolutely crucial (starting and ending the day with prayer). If you can, wake up early to give you ample time for an hour (you can start with 1/2 hour) of prayer + spiritual reading. Over time (and you'd be surprised how rapidly) you will get the strength to face the coming difficulties/temptations of the day with relative ease.
то ти ђаво убацује помисли како ти то не треба да би се спасао а Господ нам је на више места ради спасења рекао да једемо свето тело Његово и пијемо часну крв Његову
Is the point of this that if we see something that we say it is "holy" it is probably isn't. The holiest thing you are doing right now (chanting). Is this the meaning of it? Christ won't summon light just to disturb us, because if we are not disturbed (still) we already are on with Christ?
I cannot imagine how wise he or anyone has to be to realize a light was of demonic origin.

How can a demon summon a light ?
They are angels too but fallen
Doesn’t the Scriptures say that even Satan himself can appear as an angel of light?
@@holyresurrectionofchrist Thank you
@@robynatticks328 yes you are correct. Corinthians 11:14
in Buddhsim, they teach to discern the light. Strong penetrating light is demonic, mild gentle light is from divinity.
