Tbh i dont listen much to extreme metal anymore. Getting older and more mellowed out i guess. But i still keep an eye on the scene, just cause of dudes like this. Every now and then one of these freaks of nature pops up, and move the boundary for what is possible. Nils is a master of what he does. The speed, attack, precision and stamina is just ridicolous. He has worked hard to get to this level, and he deserves all the praise he gets.

What's amazing about this is not just this speed, precision and attack. It's the fact that this freak of nature plays like this for an hour plus straight without dying. He probably burns a week worth of calorie in one hour. Damn

this is truly beyond human body capacities yeah i know there's a good number of drummers out there who can play at this tempo or even a bit higher but sustaining these 2 hand blasts for that period of time is exclusive to I'd say 2 % of drummers in extreme drumming community
I promise you that within a couple of years there will be a few of 11-14 year old kids on YT playing this at a higher tempo after practicing for two-three years only. The older guys push the boundries and set new standards and the younger ones improves on them.
Im a drummer myself and this cannot be done in 2-3 years of practise. This needs serious work for at least 10 years. Building stamina for such long periods of time needs another 10 years.
