Simply amazing. His variety of accents and his use of different groupings are just so cool to hear. Every blast just has that slightly different pulse/chime and makes it so much fun to hear. The tempo changes are super cool as well. Smart songwriting to separate themselves from other generic bands
To anyone saying Nils can't play tight anymore. He is obviously missing out on 100+ Stamina and Endurance which he got from the Light Armor from when he played with Dark Funeral. Always cool to watch Nils DOMINATE the drums. Cheers Sam

See how the muscles in his lower back are almost at a spasm? He uses his lower back and shoulders to relieve load on his legs and arms respectively. It will come with a heavy price to pay at some point, if not already. Still..... he has a brilliant mind on top of it.
we finally see Dominator struggle. I'd love to ask if this is one the hardest songs he's ever played. This is arguably one of Frosts best performances. Very good effort.
His "struggle" is probably due to the fact that he plays the way he does and this is probably 30+ minutes into a set. I don't think it's due to lack of ability

The album version of this track certainly isn't to a click, and you can hear frost waiver in bpm throughout the track (which is obviously understandable). I've seen 1349 with Tony Laureano, Charn, and Frost... and I've never seen them play this live. So to not see it done until Nils got behind the kit (and crush it while throwing in his own flair), makes me question if Frost himself can't pull it off live. It's easily one of their best songs if not their best and would probably fall flat if not for the epic drum track. Great job all around and thanks for posting!
Hey dude, Nils did not play to a clicktrack at this show. The tempo in this song changes quite a bit in different parts, and they are playing shows live with no in-ear, tracks to a click ect.. So tempo naturally goes up and down together with the adrenaline kicking. Frost is absolutely in shape to play this song live. I think the setlist stayed the same for a long time, so maybe they just wanted to "change it up a bit" and bring back some old stuff for the fans. Hope that helps.

I remember seeing these guys YEARS ago when they were touring for Hellfire with Laureano (who is no slouch behind the kit) and couldn't understand why they didn't play Celestial, then figured it's A LOT to remember for just one song on top of the entire set, especially if you're just filling in... Then years later when I saw them with Frost I got all excited thinking they'd play it, and nope! So that got me thinking it might be too much to do it live. As for them not playing to a click... man, I gotta tell ya, I long for the days when there were no in-ears, no computers, no 808's, no clicks, no lights synced to songs, and not having 1000+ assholes out on the floor holding up cell phones the whole show. To me the whole point of going to see a band was to hear them play songs from their albums with that live element and energy... songs were usually much faster or different from the album, solos were different or improvised... it's what made going to concerts fun. Now everything is all synced up to a computer and lights, and all the performances are robotic and lifeless... Hats off to 1349 and all the other bands out there that still play live for real and keep the art alive. Everyone else... put your fucking phone down, stop blocking everyone's view, and just enjoy the show! No one cares how many likes you got and you're an asshole for shooting video in portrait. Well, it is one of the hardest their songs, if not the hardest. "Hellfire" overall is a sick album, so most of the songs there are damn complex.
