My bet is that he's keeping people safe in sleep and dreams, but due to how dire the situation is, he has to stay asleep in order to order to keep it up. It's very sad to think about, because the whole thing implies that he's never even met Melinoe since she was born; he's been there the whole time while she was growing up but just never able to say or do anything with her. It's such a powerful juxtaposition with how he was in Hades, always the first person Zagreus meets upon returning to the House.

There was a comment regarding Arachne going about how it may Mel that would undo her curse. If that's the case, she may also play a role waking Hypnos.

Hades games does a fantastic job with the dialogues, reactions and interactions with other characters. Makes things feel more lively. It’s something that most other games lack. Good Job Supergiant!

Imo, I think the poses are less dynamic or fun compared to the last game. Poseidon had his trident rest on his shoulders, Artemis had her back curved, almost like a Jojo pose. But in this game, they all just stand with their arms out. I get it they're at war, so perhaps their intention was for a bold look, but it comes off a little bland.
@@Hamstir4 yup, but i think they'll probably tweak a lot of the art and mostly just wanted to use the art as a kind of direction for where to go and what to do. i personally think that something really cool could be unique backgrounds for every character. they've already got a background on the boon gods/goddesses but seeing like an ocean behind poseidon, a hunting range behind artemis, etc etc would be really cool and give a bunch of depth to the world of olympus. also the devs def know what they're doing, these are the kinds of devs that'd probably delay their game by 2 years if something wasnt how they wanted it to be. their games are super detailed and polished so, i think on release it'll just be awesome and i'm def buying it as soon as i can
