this whole witchcrafty and Silver Sisters plot is SO nice to see, I'm so hyped for more of Selene and her interactions with Demeter, hera and Hestia, since they are sisters in the Hades universe
The Silver Sisters is such cool concepts! What an opportunity to bring these heavy players together. A secret team where each compliment each other, united to take down an ultimate foe. Chronos may see the pieces, but he does not see the whole.
A detail I noticed then realized, while not only all the Silver Sisters share Moon-themed accessories/associations, that the orange, green, black and light blue(periwinkle) cord/pattern is present in the following: cord/belt around Artemis' waist and the opening of her quiver, underline moon/horns on the sides of Selene's helmet/headdress, and wrapped around the cauldron used both by Hecate and Melinoe. Maybe the each color represents each sister: orange for Melinoe(her usual dress), green for Artemis (her theme color), light blue for Selene(her theme color and dress), and black for Hecate(pretty close to her theme color /dark metal accessories or to associate with nighttime being the prime time for magic)
Her voice is very gentle, you wouldn't guess how powerful she really is. I also would like to think she achieved some sort of enlightenment, with her content in hiding her true power.
Named my cat Selene, she passed away a few months ago but when I heard that Selene is in Hades 2, i got so excited. It's like she never left at all. I miss her. :(
I'm sorry to hear that Sloth. You gave your cat a beautiful name and a wonderful life I'm sure of that. It's tough dealing with big losses. What keeps me going is believing you did your best for them. It helps to remember them in happy times.
Helios was called "All-Seeing" by the Ancient Greeks, and the myths about him generally revolve around him knowing *everything* that happens on Earth, by dint of him being in the sky all day and, y'know, seeing it all happen. IDK if the same lore applied to Selene in the myths but it would make sense.
Hecate and Artemis are considered lunar goddesses in real life myths with Selene being moon incarnate, and Melinöe is sometimes conflated with Hecate, which implies these four are the Silver Sisters
Selene had a tragic romantic life. One day, Selene saw Endymion (son of Aethlius and Calyce), a handsome human shepherd. The two eventually fell in love. In order to marry with Selene, when she asking Zeus to make Endymion immortal and eternal youth, Selene forgot to ask to wake him up. As a result, Endymion will fall into a sleep forever like Sleeping Beauty.
Aphrodite placed a curse upon Eos because she had slept with Ares. This curse filled her heart with constant passion, causing her to fall in love with a train of handsome men. Her lovers included her husband Astraios (God of Dusk), the Gigantes, Orion, Kephalos, and the Trojan prince Tithonos, three of which she ravished away to distant lands. Tithonos became her official consort. When she petitioned Zeus to make Tithonos immortal, Eos forgot to request eternal youth. In time he shriveled up by old age and transformed into a grasshopper. By Tithonos, Eos was the mother of Memnon, an Aethiopian king who fought on the side of the Trojans. When Memnon was slain by Achilles, she was said to have shed tears of dew.
@@Hamstir4 Sometimes even deities and Titans mistakes when making their lovers immortal and eternal youth. Anyway, Calypso told Odysseus about this because she wanted him to become immortal and eternal youth to live with her, and Calypso never wanted to make the same mistake as Eos and Selene. Also, Umbral Flames with the Aspect of Eos is inspired by the story of Eos falling in love with prince Tithonos and becoming the goddess of love.
Makes me wonder if there's sunlight deities that form a Unit? Like Apollo, Helios, Hemera *she's daylight and also one of Nyx's children* not sure who the 4th would be maybe Theia?
I think it would be cool, always wondered what happened to Helios. But Silver Sisters' purpose was for the downfall of Chronos. Wonder what a sunlight team would be formed for?
@@Hamstir4allot of later versions of Greek mythology (sometime before the Romans adapted it for the their own mythology) don't include Helios and instead have Apollo as the person responsible for riding the sun chariot. Given Apollo's dark skin in this game combined with a certain other greek myth involving the sun chatiot flying too close to the ground around the equator makes me beleive this is the interpretation Hades 2 has decided to go with
@@ultimate9056 See, I would've thought that too with Selene, but she exists alongside Artemis. Although I do think Helios has it rougher than Selene. It's possible! All we need is one mention of Helios in the game.
"There is no such thing as a benevolent Titan"
Selene: exists
Me: spitting cereal meme
"Gaia is among them, but unlike the others, she is not a destructive force"
"She can help us?"
"She already is."

Meli has a cord wrapped around her left thigh, and Hecate has it lining the crown of her hat!
There is also that cord hanging from the ceiling/walls of the Crossroads
"Speaking drains me of my light", As an introvert I understand XD
Selene watches over us all from night huh?
So she was always there.
My true mentor, my guiding moonlight.
Comforting to know if you feel ever alone ^
I see what you did there
She does more than watch if you're a cute shepherd boy.....
The moon? The ghost? The spider?
The answer is yes.
The winged boy? The antler boy? The grapey b-, na, not Apollo. Arthemis for teh win!
Also, always yes.
Wait is the ghost Dora?
I love her voice! Elegant, gentle, and powerful 😊
I wonder if she will ever reference Endymion.
You know... her most famous myth
Hypnos gave Endymion eternal sleep to remain young. He can sleep, walk, sleep with eyes open, and sleep talk. They have fifty daughters
Oblig Sailor Moon reference
Fun fact: in older versions of his myth, Selene and Endymion are Narcissus's parents
Let me just say that her voise is so beautiful!

I hope Selene and Narcissus interacts because according to some myths he is the son of Selene and Endymion

Knowing the tale she probably fancies him when alive.

ii wonder who counts as the silver sisters. selene, artemis, melinoe, and hermes? or maybe hecate?
Probably Hecate as the last one, she, like the others you listed, has moon symbols on her clothes

Hermes lol? Really??
@@badrinath5306Hermes apparently is part of the group that Olympus doesn’t know about since Selene mentions the Messenger- which is Hermes.

Apparently not, Avalon Penrose is Meg's while Sarah Grayson voices Selene. I can see it tho ^

It’s such a fun little awkward detail.
