Oh, how I love this song by the Carpenters, music lover Carlos. Your version on the piano sounds so wonderfully light and performed with a lot of feeling. Thank you so much for your presentation for today's Sunday. With summer greetings from Germany from Leonora Lily 🎼🎼🎹🎵🎶🎵🎶🎹
Dear Carlos, a very elegant song by the Carpenters. Your execution is gorgeous. Quite enjoyable. Thank you so much for sharing. Please have a safe and wonderful new week. Warmest regards always and blessings. P.S. I noticed you have played a few Barry Manilow songs. Are you familiar with his song called, “If I Should Love Again?” If so, can you play it? 🙏🎹🎼🎶💫✨🕊
Hi Judy. Indeed I have heard of that song, a beautiful one for sure. By the way, I have Barry Manilow`s song book. In case you do not already have it and want a copy, just let me know.
Hi Carlos, thank you so much. I also have his song book yet the song I am referring to has so many sharps, flats along with key change that it frustrates me. I am at the point of my life that I just want to sit at my piano and play. Simple songs are a different story, of course. Hence, I create original compositions to alleviate getting frustrated. When I was in grade school taking piano lessons I was terribly bored and eventually told my mom that my piano teacher was mean to me though she was not. Once I heard a melody I didn’t need to read the written notes. Sure, I made mistakes the first few times but then I was fine. I appreciate your kind offer. I’m a huge Barry fan from back in the day.
@@judym216 Judy, I understand what you say. I used to think the exact same way. Now I am certain it is all a myth. Did you know the easiest key to play a song in the piano is F#? The reason is simple, it is the key that best conforms to the natural shape of a human hand. If you play F# scales you will soon notice how comfortable it is for your fingers to take each position. We are made to believe that sharps are difficult, but that is just a false imprint from childhood that we carry our whole life. Try to break this false narrative, sooner than later you will start enjoying it.
@@CarlosRicher Carlos, your reason makes perfect sense to me. I appreciate your insight and will try adapting this new idea to sync with my mind process while playing my piano. I love new ideas with working theories. Thank you again. Enjoy your day.
