Excellent playing Carlos. Reading your comments, I too don't play guitar only keyboards, though at one time I could play guitar if that makes any sense, I just can't manage that now! My keyboard has some guitar and bass voices so I can incorporate the occasional guitar sound if I wish in my songs.

@@DavidStevenGuy Hi David, nice to meet you here. I tried playing the guitar too and i could never make it sound clear, I gave it up a few months later. My first musical instrument was the accordion. I still play it sometimes.

Dear Carlos, you made this look like a simple task!!! Absolutely gorgeous!! As we had discussed, this is my favorite Barry song!! Thank you so much for sharing what my hands cannot play. My heart is swelling with delight. Such a surprise to see this in my feed today. Muchas Gracias. 🙏 🎹🎶🎼✨💫🕊P.S. And playing on your Steinway!! 🙏

I am currently in my home in Mexico, my wife just took our visitors (two daughters, son in law, and grandkid to the airport) so I did not have my camera gal, smile. By the way, this is a much larger piano, a GS-100 Kawai, a gift from my late father more than 30 years ago. You made my day, thank you!

Dear Carlos, you’re very welcome. Your late father gifted you the best possession in the world, in my opinion. God bless his soul. God bless you. 🙏

Wow, did you already have that song in your repertoire?

No, I had never played that song before. I started to play it this Tuesday reading the chords. Then I downloaded a youtube video from Manilow and tried to follow his piano arrangement. I added 9ths because they sounded nice, but they were not in his original recording.

@@CarlosRicher have you been playing forever? Did you have a teacher who emphasized rhythm?

@@lshwadchuck5643 I did have a teacher for a few months, he focused on sound level and improvisation. Previously I had a guitar teacher many years ago who helped me learn more complex chords. He did not play the piano, but it was not needed. I still do not know how to read music, I only read one line of notes and the chords, everything else is lyric. The difference is that I have no problem now reading any complex C9, C13, Csus, Cadd9, etc.

@@CarlosRicher Well, he must have been an excellent improvisation teacher and I guess you already had great rhythm from playing guitar. My teacher is all improvisation and rhythm and mapping all the chords. In my fifth year, now that I can finally let go and trust the rhythm structure, I'm just starting to train in simplified reading. What you do is exactly my goal.

@@lshwadchuck5643 I never played the guitar. If you can believe it, my guitar teacher was teaching me how to play the piano without he knowing anything about playing the piano, but he was a real master of chords. At the end of the day, music is music.
