    I agree with Jan Sands. How about a video where you take one of these dried pages and make something. ❤️ Loved this video.

    I like to sprinkle a bit of instant coffee granules on the wet pages to create interesting spits

    I just scored a readers digest book from good well and a bird book I been wanting, both was $3 dollars well worth it, since they are hard to come by now that people are doing more crafting these days. I will try dyeing the way you just did because I am in need of those diyed coffee papers so I will be diying paper tomorrow on a Sunday tfs.

    All I can say is more power to you! I liked seeing you do the individual sheets but I doubt I'll try this. I would probably take the grid paper out of the book and do the pages separately. I loved watching you do this because you always do such a great job but not me! "You might start a fire." You said that in such a matter of fact way that I really had to laugh. No Reader's Digest books lying around. I actually just ordered one from Diane H. so I can make an altered book from it. I never see them in the thrift stores here.

      Haha! I did start a fire once, lol. My husband absolutely hates it when I coffee dye papers. He says it smells so bad. I try to do it when he isn't home, but can't always. I have a bunch of RD books. I found a ton at an estate sale once. If you ever need one, just let me know and I will hook you up girl!!

    That's really cool 😍 why's your paper turning green in places though?

    • @shawcraft1
      @shawcraft1  Год назад +1

      It's usually because of the ink from the lined pages. It gives it a bit of a green tint, but I love it because it reminds me of "patina"

      @@shawcraft1 that's so cool! I really love it too, that's why I asked. Mine never turns green no matter what colour lined paper I dye. It looks awesome 😍💜

    I did this one time with not the grid paper one but a regular composition notebook ....the only thing I didn't like was when that dye comes off of the lines it makes your coffee green and your pages8 are mostly green so it didn't match LOL but I used most of the papers in my Armymom junk Journal it was the perfect color. 😆

    • @clc3897
      @clc3897 3 года назад

      That is my favorite thing about dying papers, or even spraying the papers with water. It’s the lines bleeding all around the page. I absolutely adore the effect.

    • @shawcraft1
      @shawcraft1  3 года назад +1

      I have that happen too, but I love the green so I don't mind it. I know some people find papers that don't fade like this, but I've never been able to find any that doesn't so I guess it's a hit and miss kind of thing. If I ever find any that doesn't fade the lines, I will definitely let y'all know what it is! tfw

      The best composition books you can find are on Amazon. Oxford brand are absolutely great. The paper is excellent. The DT composition books are made out of recycled paper that will not take soaking very well.
