after plugging the usb in the ps5, you can import images and videos using share factory studio, in case anyone is watching this now

Once imported does it store them in the appropriate game folders in the media gallery or is it just a generic folder?
It only works with video clips. Screenshots are not only limited to 64MB, but don't show up in Media Gallery.

Can you do this when you already transferred all your games and stuff? Bc I’m like 7 months into using the ps5 and never tried to transfer my screenshots that didn’t go through bc I thought it would mess with it. So would I take my USB that is currently plugged into my ps5 and plug that USB into the ps4 and follow this process?
I still find it absurd that they don't have a native tool for this. I've got my PS4 clips and screenshots on USB but there's no point in transferring them to PS5 if they can't be categorized like everything else.

I just found out "Share Factory" will do it.
honestly the screenshots I took are fun memories, Ill just store em on my pc, having to do all that is so convoluted, kinda unnecessary to do it unless your console is your main media player/browser
Import the videos to share factory then save them to ps5 that way.

I just found out another video where he uses "Share Factory" to download the videos/screenshots to the PS5, and that's the only way.
It says can not perform this operation
But do they appear on the throphy list for that game? Or will you just now have them in the screenshot section, without possibility to bind them to a game folder?
Pretty sure it’s a regular screenshot and will not be added to the ps5 trophies.
This is also probably due to the fact that ps5 takes clips and not screenshots anymore
@@justinh9674 you prob already know it by now, but you can actually change it to take screenshots instead. Saves a lot of space

This is so pointless to not automatically transfer all of my pictures form my ps4 to my ps5 reason is because why not transfer it when the ps4 data is being transferred to a ps5 that’s SO DUMB I was going to give my ps4 to my cousin so when I transferred “all my data” to my ps5 I thought I was done so I WIPED MY PICTURES OFF OF IT and i gave it to him not knowing I just deleted a bunch of amazing screenshots and old videos that give me nostalga and I gave my cousin my ps4 like 5 months ago from that date and I was SO MAD AND SAD BECAUSE THAT IS SO DUMB THEY DONT TRANSFER THE PICTURE DATA BECAUSE SOMETHING LIKE THIS COULD HAPPEN ALOT AND WHEN I SAY ALOT I MEAN ALOT!!! But man, how didn't you just cheked manually first.... I came to this video after realising the "data transfer" just transfers 'save files' and 'games/apps' .... I was pretty sure it would do for screenshots/videos, althought I agree is SUPER STUPID and I have my PS4 connected to my PS5 by LAN, why can't I just transfer videos as well...... I can't sell my console until I transfer like 200Gb manually
But at least I haven't wipe yet, I even checked the games one by one to see if the save files are all working (that's how I also just realised I need the PS4 versions and not the PS5 versions) so the game files can work

@@bobdarrick2628ALTHOUGH, I was going through old messages on my PS5 when I used to talk to my friends on PS4, and I actually sent a friend an old screenshot of my playing a game that it’s old version gives me a ton of nostalgia and it happened to be an old version of the game, so I at least have that

Great video but on pc, where do i find the screenshots that ive transferred?
Put the thumbdrive into you PC, and the drive will appear in File Explorer. Click into it and dig around; the screenshots should be in there somewhere. From there you can move them to a folder on your PC if you want to.

@How To X hey thanks it turns out when I opened it up there was a tiny metal shaving the size of a pin head floating around on the disk pad messing things up and since I removed it no problems since. Thanks again
