Ok so, my wife made me a ring holder out of resin and it sets next to the couch where i use it regularly. Recently, i was admiring it and the lightbulb clicked, I can make that! and you can too!
Using some oak that my dad recently cut down in his front yard, i figured i'd chronical this quick turn for your viewing pleasure.

@kevindcreates string is easy. The issue is the tiny metal tips.
A friend of mine wanted to make some spinning tops. He lost a walnut tree and he has the wood for special projects.
He ended up making them from scrap stainless.
Unfortunately, I don't own a metal lathe.
