These ladies have many more phenomenal songs and Midori and Miyako, the two guitarists, are arguably the best pair of female guitarists in the world today. They won the 2018 Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. All their songs are sung in English except for Bravehearted on their 2017 EP.

Best metal band out there today. 80's inspired power/thrash metal band. The fact that they are all female makes this band more interesting. They are extremely talented.
Glad to see you are finding more and more of these wonderful Japanese bands. I have noticed on a couple of your vids today, that when you come back from pausing, the video volume drops off and the sound comes through a little muted. There is so much talent in these tiny ladies that play huge. Haruna the drummer is 4'9" while Miyako, the guitarist playing the Dean and Miho the bassist claim to be 5'2" each. There must be many bands jealous that Lovebites has two guitarists better than they can find. LOL

You will receive tons of recommendation on Lovebites. Choose any of them, they are all good, but one advice for you. In the case of Swan Song, you should play it together with the preceding truck Shopin Revolutionary Etude. Those two pieces are one set, hence a suite. You will know the reason when you hear them. Do not hesitate to talk about singer's thick Japanese accent. I myself is a Japanese man with some accent in English. It is a mere fact that we have funny accent in English. You can complain about it, it is just your personal matter. I even make a joke on it. Asami, the singer's accent is not a problem at all, 'cause we (Japanese fans) don't understand English at all anyway. But, here's a big "BUT", don't and never touch it when you evaluate her "as a singer", don't devaluate her for her accent. It is not an element of music. It does nothing to do with music. There is some idiot, foolish reviewer kept complain about her accent when he was reviewing the band. To devaluate her for her accent means he is devaluating foreign people with foreign accent. It is an insult. He is lookin down on non-native English speakers. It is a kind of racial discrimination. And also music doesn't belong only to English speakers, it belongs to everyone even to the people who don't speak English at all. The conclusion is, take and handle foreigner's foreign accent as you personal issue, avoid "evaluating" people with it. Your odyssey of the wonder World of Lovebites will be long and fantastic. Hello, I'm Nemophila fan visiting Lovebites world from time to time. Holy War is one of my favorite songs. I don't know the reason, why Japanese accent in English could be a problem for somebody. I don't have any with it. I hope that nightmare will end someday and we can catch some balance with it. When Saki is speaking to us on livestream, she is doing it good and nobody is complaining on chat. Maybe people are too shy with their accent? The other thing is, that metal music is loud and I sometimes have problem to recognise words even English/American vocalists. With lyrics in front of my eyes it suddenly gets clear. I had that effect with some Nemo song - when I found lyrics, it appeared, that screaming part in English was done fantastic! Mayu is supposed to be bad at this language.

Lovebites was formed by the bassist and drummer who came from another well known Japanese all female band called Destrose. Early Destrose musicians and the final members pretty much fell on or made other fantastic all female bands. Give a gander at the Destrose family tree sometime. Thank you for loving my fave Japanese metal band.
What is "sick" is that all three guitars did tapping simultaneously. The camera just focused on them individually per tap. Haven't seen any band do that so far. Not to mention they are the Queens of Metal and one of the best dual guitars in history (Miyako and Midori). They also do synchronous dual overhand tap in Signs of Deliverance and Miyako (Dean, beside piano) plays keyboards and guitar simultaneously best seen in Burden of Time. They also do epic ballads, such as Epilogue (Miyako goes from acoustic guitar to piano to electric guitar and back and forth , Edge of the World, Swan Song (with classical piano), Empty Daydream. They also did a cover of Helloween - Eagle Fly Free where Miho (bass) dominates through entire song and has a tap solo) and she is with Misa (Band-Maid) and Tomomi (Scandal) one of the best bassist. Asami (singer) sings in English, has a slight accent but mostly because she incorporates operatic melodies and often joins last and first word of a sentence. Ex ballerina and amazing powerful vocals. Haruna, the Energizer 4"9 Bunny is one of the best drummers out there.
I did notice that upon listening to it again but if I see bass tapping I’m like :O serious envy haha! All that you have just described sounds epic on so many levels!
Great reaction video, loved it! I admire the dedication Lovebites bring to their play. They are trying hard to get more fluent in English, they obviously rehearse and practice a lot, they live healthy to be able to perform at their highest abilities (typical rock stars ;)). Hey, you might want to find another angle for camera and face light, otherwise you constantly have the light's reflection in your glasses. Otherwise good job, maybe don't pause in the middle of a guitar solo 🤭

And they've not made a bad song yet...lol Such power, such majesty, a real metal head cannot help but tear up more than once watching them or listening to their albums. But yes, there's a few that make me tear up regularly, and sometimes just the joy of a new real power metal band back in our lives can do it as well.

Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. They have themselves said in interviews that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. They were formed from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief metalhead and soul of the band) recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" pocket nuke), and they went and found the two guitarists, Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands, and the whole group found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time. Miho and Miyako compose most of their music, but Midori has also been getting into the act, and Asami writes a lot of the lyrics. They have only been around for a little over 4 years. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Slayer etc. and they pretty much aced it all. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and it seems clear they’re taking it to another level. This is one of their "starter" songs for reactors, and rightly so--you get a good sense of the band. They do everything from soulful power ballads to white-hot insane thrash, and almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two shredders are very different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel. Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The interplay makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. (As another reactor said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band.") Miyako is also a concert-level classical pianist-she only picked up guitar when she was 18. Great reaction to the greatest band in the world, you have just entered the twilight zone of the Lovebites amazing power and talent where they will hook you and keep you in awe from this point on. You have just scratched the surface of what is to come, but only if you stay in this journey. I will say this and it has gotten ridiculous but the media platform has created this song as a mainstream song and everyone is reacting to it and 90% of the reactors are not following up with Lovebites, with this being said I never subscribe until I see if you need up doing more songs by Lovebites. I am a strong and adamant follower and fan of Lovebites and kill all negative crap, and comments I see from many people and haters. Let's see where this goes first

Best metal band out there today. 80's inspired power/thrash metal band. The fact that they are all female makes this band more interesting. They are extremely talented.
Glad to see you are finding more and more of these wonderful Japanese bands. I have noticed on a couple of your vids today, that when you come back from pausing, the video volume drops off and the sound comes through a little muted. There is so much talent in these tiny ladies that play huge. Haruna the drummer is 4'9" while Miyako, the guitarist playing the Dean and Miho the bassist claim to be 5'2" each. There must be many bands jealous that Lovebites has two guitarists better than they can find. LOL

Every LOVEBITES song is equally impressive, though some have more specifically encouraging and uplifting lyrics that, although most were written prior to 'covid', are perfectly appropriate for these bizarre and difficult times, culminating in their latest release, written and recorded in 2020 during 'lockdown' and released March 10. "Glory, Glory to the World" and the entire "mini-album" is available on LOVEBITES official channel by scrolling down to "Albums & Singles". Specifically the song "Glory to the World" is a Music Video with a guy representing humanity's struggle with the depression of the pandemic 'learning to love yourself" to lift ourselves out of that depression. You will receive tons of recommendation on Lovebites. Choose any of them, they are all good, but one advice for you. In the case of Swan Song, you should play it together with the preceding truck Shopin Revolutionary Etude. Those two pieces are one set, hence a suite. You will know the reason when you hear them.
Do not hesitate to talk about singer's thick Japanese accent. I myself is a Japanese man with some accent in English. It is a mere fact that we have funny accent in English. You can complain about it, it is just your personal matter. I even make a joke on it. Asami, the singer's accent is not a problem at all, 'cause we (Japanese fans) don't understand English at all anyway.
But, here's a big "BUT", don't and never touch it when you evaluate her "as a singer", don't devaluate her for her accent. It is not an element of music. It does nothing to do with music. There is some idiot, foolish reviewer kept complain about her accent when he was reviewing the band. To devaluate her for her accent means he is devaluating foreign people with foreign accent. It is an insult. He is lookin down on non-native English speakers. It is a kind of racial discrimination. And also music doesn't belong only to English speakers, it belongs to everyone even to the people who don't speak English at all.
The conclusion is, take and handle foreigner's foreign accent as you personal issue, avoid "evaluating" people with it.

Hello, I'm Nemophila fan visiting Lovebites world from time to time. Holy War is one of my favorite songs.
I don't know the reason, why Japanese accent in English could be a problem for somebody. I don't have any with it. I hope that nightmare will end someday and we can catch some balance with it. When Saki is speaking to us on livestream, she is doing it good and nobody is complaining on chat. Maybe people are too shy with their accent?
The other thing is, that metal music is loud and I sometimes have problem to recognise words even English/American vocalists. With lyrics in front of my eyes it suddenly gets clear. I had that effect with some Nemo song - when I found lyrics, it appeared, that screaming part in English was done fantastic! Mayu is supposed to be bad at this language.

英語かどうか判別がつかず、英語だと認識しても聞き取ることに気を取られてしまって
曲そのものに集中しにくくなってしまっている人をチラホラ見かけます。
日本語の歌詞なら割り切って曲に集中できるようになるんですけどね。
声も楽器の一つなので、そこに違和感を覚える英語話者の人にとって
曲そのものの価値に直結してしまうのは避けられないと思います。
もちろん歌う側も、聴く側も、悪気は全くないので差別にはなりません。
そして、LOVEBITESに思い入れの強いgatogratoさんが、差別のように感じてしまう気持ちも解ります。
訛りが抜けないのは仕方ないですが
カタカナ英語になっている部分に関しては、割と短時間の訓練で何歳からでも改善できるので
聴衆の理解度や、知名度を上げていくためにも、発音を重視していく価値は十分にありそうですね。
@@user-kf5ty3rb8jn 私はアサミのアクセントはカタカナ英語というよりも日本人共通の顔の筋肉、特に唇周りの筋肉の動きが弱いのが大きく関係していると思います。日本語の歌詞のほうが・・・と言うのは面白いことに英語の単一話者が主張したりするのですよね。でも彼は日本語はわからない、歌詞を読んでもわからない、翻訳を読んでやっと解かるのですよね。それってやはり変でしょう。彼は単に中途半端な彼の母国語が落ち着かないのだと思います。でも英語話者も同じ問題を抱えているのですよ。イタリア語やドイツ語を理解できずにオペラを楽しむ。要するに歌を音として受け入れている、だったら不完全な英語でもいいじゃないのと思います。大体、英語圏以外で英語圏の歌手が訛りの強いその国の言葉で歌ってもみな喜びます。英語話者だけは英語を話すのが普通だと思っているからあの反応になるのでしょう。閑話休題。ラブバイツは国際的なバンドを目指しているので英語で歌ったほうが良いと思いますよ。少なくともそれが彼らの選択なのですから我々がそれに対して否定的なことを言うのは間違っていると存じます。

Thunder vengeance and We the United both from this same show. Also try Swan Song. All their stuff is in English, but Asami obviously isn't a native of the language, so she can be hard to understand. But hey, I'm just glad she makes the effort
I was listening to their studio recordings this morning and I could hear it much better.. To be fair, her accent and English is far better than most of those in the UK haha

Lovebites was formed by the bassist and drummer who came from another well known Japanese all female band called Destrose.
Early Destrose musicians and the final members pretty much fell on or made other fantastic all female bands.
Give a gander at the Destrose family tree sometime. Thank you for loving my fave Japanese metal band.
What is "sick" is that all three guitars did tapping simultaneously. The camera just focused on them individually per tap. Haven't seen any band do that so far. Not to mention they are the Queens of Metal and one of the best dual guitars in history (Miyako and Midori). They also do synchronous dual overhand tap in Signs of Deliverance and Miyako (Dean, beside piano) plays keyboards and guitar simultaneously best seen in Burden of Time. They also do epic ballads, such as Epilogue (Miyako goes from acoustic guitar to piano to electric guitar and back and forth , Edge of the World, Swan Song (with classical piano), Empty Daydream. They also did a cover of Helloween - Eagle Fly Free where Miho (bass) dominates through entire song and has a tap solo) and she is with Misa (Band-Maid) and Tomomi (Scandal) one of the best bassist.
Asami (singer) sings in English, has a slight accent but mostly because she incorporates operatic melodies and often joins last and first word of a sentence. Ex ballerina and amazing powerful vocals.
Haruna, the Energizer 4"9 Bunny is one of the best drummers out there.
I did notice that upon listening to it again but if I see bass tapping I’m like :O serious envy haha! All that you have just described sounds epic on so many levels!

Great reaction video, loved it! I admire the dedication Lovebites bring to their play. They are trying hard to get more fluent in English, they obviously rehearse and practice a lot, they live healthy to be able to perform at their highest abilities (typical rock stars ;)). Hey, you might want to find another angle for camera and face light, otherwise you constantly have the light's reflection in your glasses. Otherwise good job, maybe don't pause in the middle of a guitar solo 🤭

All their songs are in 100% English. And they've not made a bad song yet...lol Such power, such majesty, a real metal head cannot help but tear up more than once watching them or listening to their albums. The music and lyrics hit so deep into a metal heart and soul. We, The Wolf Pack, are UINTIED under their command, and every song is a righteous WARCRY to our HOWLING WARRIOR BLOOD!

@@IVITURNERIVI yes, well good idea, They have a song called Epilogue I've heard 100 times now and still cannot listen to it, the video, the cd whatever, without actually crying to this day, there's a reactor called dicodec who literally broke down crying and had to stop for a few minutes.,.lol Look it up, it's hilarious. But yes, there's a few that make me tear up regularly, and sometimes just the joy of a new real power metal band back in our lives can do it as well.

Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. They have themselves said in interviews that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity.
They were formed from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief metalhead and soul of the band) recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" pocket nuke), and they went and found the two guitarists, Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands, and the whole group found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time. Miho and Miyako compose most of their music, but Midori has also been getting into the act, and Asami writes a lot of the lyrics.
They have only been around for a little over 4 years. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Slayer etc. and they pretty much aced it all. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and it seems clear they’re taking it to another level.
This is one of their "starter" songs for reactors, and rightly so--you get a good sense of the band. They do everything from soulful power ballads to white-hot insane thrash, and almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two shredders are very different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel. Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The interplay makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. (As another reactor said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band.") Miyako is also a concert-level classical pianist-she only picked up guitar when she was 18.

Great reaction to the greatest band in the world, you have just entered the twilight zone of the Lovebites amazing power and talent where they will hook you and keep you in awe from this point on. You have just scratched the surface of what is to come, but only if you stay in this journey. I will say this and it has gotten ridiculous but the media platform has created this song as a mainstream song and everyone is reacting to it and 90% of the reactors are not following up with Lovebites, with this being said I never subscribe until I see if you need up doing more songs by Lovebites. I am a strong and adamant follower and fan of Lovebites and kill all negative crap, and comments I see from many people and haters. Let's see where this goes first

Why do you plan to do just 3 songs? They are not ordinary band with 3-4 hits and the rest is DVD filler crap. Lovebites has 30 hit songs at least.

Good job... but some constructive criticism... 1. Try not to pause a song right in the middle of a guitar solo. Naughty, Naughty! 2. If you ever do that then at least back up a few seconds before you start it back. 3. For goodness sakes, don't talk over the solo. That's a big no no.

But I'm sorry, Asami can easily sing for band maid, scandal, Show-Ya, etc. I doubt Saiki can sing power and thrash metal with wide range. I think the problem is not many people listen Asami sing in Japanese lyrics.
