- Timmy Saunders and Jim Jackson are joined by NEW co-hosts and members of the broadcast team, Brian Boucher and Todd Fedoruk to discuss the state of the Flyers entering the 2023-24 season.
I met Todd when he was a member of the Flyers. He was getting married at the church where I worked. Myself, and a friend of mine, kinda surpirse him and his (then) fiancé with a request for autographs. He was so kind and patient with us. I'll never forget it. Thanks Todd!
I met Todd at the cherry hill mall in 99, and he was super nice, and down to earth
Never forgot that😁
Looking forward to you on the air now, Fridge!!!
Great conversation
The Flyers will be a better team this year, it will be incremental, but they won't go backwards anymore.
Should be a fun season.
Go Flyers!
100%
Fridge is the man, great guy
Imo, this season is about Cam York, Emil Andrae, Tyson Foerster, Bobby Brink, & the further development of Tippett, Frost, and Cates. Contending for a playoff spot is meaningless at this point. The fun comes from envisioning how it all comes together in a few years when Gauthier is established, Michkov is only a year away, & the next wave of kids are pushing hard for ice time.
Its funny because the only thing that has changed is now the management is saying the word "rebuild," but they're still going to press for the playoffs.
' if'
I'd love to see Tim Saunders on the TV broadcast. I know everyone loves JJ, but I think Tim adds excitement to his broadcasts that Jackson does not have. Jackson should also stop with the hair dye! lol
I like Boch and Fridge, very good colour analysis from both former players.
@@TheBeegle77nobody cares what you think bud
Do you guys watch every single Flyers game? I do. JJ most definitely adds excitement, he's always excited and he knows this team better than any of us and he makes alot of hyped up calls(couldn't think of a better way to say it lol). Love JJ
Part of the issue is how young the team is. There's no question that there is a lot upside on this team, but are they there yet? No. THAT is the point. There is a LOT of growing to do, and HOPE that the players will reach their ceiling. I think a lot of these young players are going to make some highlight plays this season, but they are NOT going to be consistent, and everyone, including Torts, has also said they expect growing pains. That's absolutely fine, let's train these guys up and make them the best players they can be. Then we'll see what we'll see.
My opinion: They are one year away from contending for the playoffs... 3-4 years away from being Cup contenders.
I would like to see Brink and Foerster play with Frost and work the 3 young players up together, give them a chance to get a lot of chemistry, and be a line who can be successful long term.
That's why Torts said from the get-go that it's a 4-year project for him
They want to be competitive, but there is no way they don't want to get a top 5 pick next year to try and bring in a D prospect that can actually be a first pair player.
Weird offseason narratives - The Blue Jackets will be good (lolwut) and the Flyers are a bottom 3 team. Or the one guy who said the Flyers have by far the worst roster in the NHL... or the guy who said the Flyers 'worst case' scenario was winning games and not getting another top pick. Feels like those takes are going to age like milk in the sun.
The Flyers Will missed Provorov the next two years
The rebuild started with Claude Giroux trade? No. The rebuild started with the simmonds to Toronto move! Come on y’all.
Who😂
They have a good team when They have a good défense 🏒🤷
Marc Staal...... new era of orange lol.
???
Every single rebuilding team has veterans ,you're comment makes no sense. 😉
@@codeman1419 Staal playing over Andre or Zamula makes no sense.
The flyers are horrible
Were maybe? But not no more! Moving on up 85 plus points if healthy!
Get jacked and Jilled
