    This is the person I’d trust 100% to tell things exactly the way they happened. He had so much skin in the game with this team. You could tell he got railroaded like many other great players we’ve had that got shipped out.

    I remember the moment I recognized AV had "checked out." He said in a November post-game "The players know what they have to do. They're not doing it. I don't know why." I was like: Wut? Have to say though, by March of 2020 he had the Flyers playing better than they had since Laviolette. And not only did AV check out on Fletcher, so did Matt Niskanen. Flyers still don't have a 1D.

    Gotta ask him about JJ and Coatsey's "off air" but "mic'ed" comments LOL

    As a lifelong Islanders fan, let's just say that the Flyers have never exactly been a favorite team of mine - going back as far as 1975. LOL But I always liked and respected the way Voracek played. Never cheated anyone in terms of effort on top of the talent he brought. Props for the candor.

      Haha definitely fair. I hate the Islanders so we’re all good here! At least we both like hockey 👊🏼

    Hayes was a 7 million dollar floater who scored 40 points. Great signing....

      @chrisdyer5879 11 месяцев назад +3

      Hayes was the perfect middle six center. The hope was Coots at 1C, Nolan Patrick at 2C, Hayes at 3C. That's a great roster of centers had Nolan not been a complete bust

      But why did they sign him for 7 million a year ?@@chrisdyer5879

      @@chrisdyer5879 Nolan had too many injuries and concussions. I don't think there was too much he could have done about it. That was always the risk with picking him, top tier upside but major injury problems even in juniors. I suspect the idea was Nolan 1C by now.

      7million a year for a third line center is a horrible move unless you aren’t paying the first and second line centers much.

    Teams need to do a better job of hiring coaches, instead of just recycling these guys who are set in their ways and can't coach the team that's handed to them.
    Edmonton made an inspired choice with Kris Knoblauch (I watched him coach in junior hockey).

  • @NeumsFor9

    Nobody wanted to believe me! I said they were quitting on each other when it was happening. It had all the ear marks of a dysfunctional GM/Coaxh/Team situation. It doesn't go that bad that fast unless something is totally off.
